This video is about Metallica - Battery Reaction!!
It's crazy what I listened to in 1986 at 15 years old, young people are just now discovering. 80s Metallica is the greatest heavy metal ever created.
Battery is a tribute to the Bay Area thrash scene. Battery St is where they would practice and hangout with Exodus, Testament, Forbidden, etc.
MrLA75 Yes, you are correct! Do they not often do online research during the upload (after having listened to the song - I.e - upon their review/discussion which invariably follows?) - the info is pretty readily available. I don’t much get their guessing bit
I never knew that. You may say the information is readily available but the internet and google have only beeen around a couple of decades, whereas this song is from c.1982, and just because you can find this stuff out online, its unreasonable to expect everyone to have already done so.
@@patrickholt2270 Also, trying to interpret art pieces on your own is a really interesting and entertaining activity and it's the content of the channel. So I think it's natural for them to not do any research before-hand.
@@patrickholt2270 the song is from 1986
Awesome bit of info thanks brotha
I'm waiting patiently for Damage Inc. That song hits like a truck.
Easily their heaviest song, in my opinion.
@@liminal_entity1331 yup. that's why Kerry King says it's his personal favorite and their best work
ESP87 it's so fucken bad ass
Yeah that song is insane
It was when it came out.
BATTERY LIVE SEATTLE 1989 !!!! the monster version!
Cocaine edition lols
92 version is better
@@jason.h.zager88 nope
I'm usually with Sori, but Vin is right with this one. A pure 10 if there ever was one.. 🤗
I have a feeling she is lying, just to fuck with us
Well there is one, it's called fuckng BATTERY!
Are you alive?
How does it feel to be alive?
Then show me!!!
🤘🏻
Dun dun, dun dun then (solo)
If ever there was a song to induce labor. lol. I saw them in 92 on the black album tour. Almost 3 hours of metallica with no opening band. Just when I was spent and worn down and ready to go, they end the show with this. I had to get up and go to school the next day. Couldn't turn my head for 3 days.
Metallica Madmen hahaha cool
You literally experienced "whiplash" ..............ahha! see what I did their???huh?huh? lol
Saw them 6x on that tour back in the 90s early. Was so gd live intense live shows
Hahahaha. 'Couldn't turn my head for 3 days' is epic.
I had the same thing after seeing them at Yankee Stadium in 2011...it was the big 4...I couldn't move for about 3 days too I always take off work a day after but I needed more haha
Metallica lived on battery street in San Fran the weaker was referring to posers hair metal bands
Time to "And Justice For All"....
that thing is so long
kkkkkkkkkkkkkk
If you haven't already, you should listen to Seek and Destroy or Phantom Lord from Metallica's Kill Em All, those songs are epic.
Vin probably heard Seek and Destroy before, it used to be in every setlist back in the day
Phantom lord is a good choice
@@marioluna5187 cause it was written by Dave Mustache .
Damn right,i asked i dont know how many time...but...literally no reaction...
I have never seen Metallica live where they didn't play Seek & Detroy. It is a setlist mainstay.
Slayer - South of Heaven
I list that as my address anywhere possible.
Vin was ready to pounce lmao😂😂
Thought we were about to get a VinAnd Sori birth reaction.
So I get the impression that at any moment when baby decides make its grand entrance, Vin is already going to be out the door Sori/Orion tucked under his arm with keys in one hand and Battery as chosen road music to the ER in the other hand, let all Buick's and 5 mile under the speed limit motorists beware!
SO AWESOME TO WATCH, and the music hasn't started yet. GO SORI!
Thank you Columbia House in 1986. Just picked it up on vinyl a few weeks ago.
So happy you reacted to this! The reaction hasn't started yet!
Nice catch on the Hit the Lights reference! I had never made that connection and I’ve been listening to those 2 albums since 86ish.
It may seem like Vin is having a good time rocking out. But we all know he's waiting to spring into action when the baby comes lol
You Two Kick ASS I Am Grateful For You Both!!!!(:
This song & the ending solo of Pearl Jam's Alive killed me when I played Rock Band.
Great review to a great song. I remember when this came out, my friend and I played that whole album on repeat for months. Your baby is coming very soon. Best wishes and bright blessings to the family!
Prolly my fav Metallica song! Nice video guys!
Pantera- “The Underground In America”/“Sandblasted Skin”
(React to as one song)
Great song.
Wow. That got real at the beginning. I would have been freaked out like vin was.
Good health to you both
Fun song to play on guitar especially the ending part. The ending is so satisfying and energetic to play!
I love you guys, you dont have the metal prejudice ingrained .... keep it up folks :D
Sori, Sori, Sori comes on sister facts are facts. You ARE a fan of Metallica. Whats happened????!!!! 😡

So outta 36 songs your average is 8.5!!! And that has the shocking low score for Orion and Battery included lol 😉 Orion will be turning in the womb. If you get any kicks today that will be why!!!! Lol.
Wtf???? Are you ok? Jasjjajs🙄🙄
Orion is overrated though - good melodies and bass leads, but very indifferent riffs when listening to Metallica’s discography
Orion is the best song in Master Of Puppets in my opinion.
Great shirt Vin!
I hope u start feeling better Sori...Awesome review guys and wow has this channel grown...Congrats guys!!! And Sori likes some Pantera and some of their songs are aggressive songs...
This intro is too epic...every time i listening this song i get f***ing goosepumps
My first show back in 86. Great song, and record.
I wore that same exact Nirvana shirt yesterday. Also, hearing Battery for the first time as a 13 year old in '87 changed my life, right there and then.
Been waiting on this song for months.
I love those blast beats in this song!
That lava lamp in the back was perfect for this one!!🤘🤘
Battery is probably my favorite Metallica song.....man it's just nuts! Love it!
Bolt Thrower they are one of the truly hidden gems of heavy metal with very heavy rifts, bass and Drums along with very interesting lyrics
Wow! Nirvana on my shirt and Metallica on my headphones and playing air guitar . That is what am doing right now!
You guys really need to react to this song live in Seattle 1989. One of the greatest Metallica performances ever captured on film
Love the videos. Good to see open minded people in the world.
lol my wife is pregnant too and the beginning just reminded me of us with my wife getting weird pains and me looking like the world was about to end. Good video though and i love this tune!!
Definitely check out Battery live in Seattle '09
One of the best openers to any album 🤘🏻 Helloween ☆ Keeper of the seven keys 🎃
Pee Wee Wallabowski folks have been axin for that one for months upon months
Not much a reaction video when dudes heard it before.
yeah but wasnt that the Seattle '89 version?
It's about time you react to this lol
I'm not sure if I was the one you were referring to about the subliminal message stuff, but FWIW I was mostly joking. I had heard some other youtuber mention trouble with those glitches, and it seemed to frequent/obvious to actually be subliminal advertising. I hope you guys know how much I love your channel and you guys, and I wouldn't want to come off as insulting.
Damn, I thought we'd be witnessing a reaction video first there for a moment. lol Doctor Vin on full alert. Poor Sori.
A few more possible suggestions (as though you don't have enough already):
"Unchain the Light" by Avantasia
"San Sebastian" by Sonata Arctica
Damn, Girl.. 😝😝😝😝😝😝 There goes 10 years from Vin's lifetime... 😁😁😁😁 Cheers to the little man..... He is Coming...! !For Sure man...Chers Respect...🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺!
One of my favourite songs pure thrash metal awesome cant headbang anymore got no hair to short now lol
You gotta do Battery live in Seattle 89. The same reason you would watch Queen Somebody To Love in Montreal 89. Its an experience
I had never heard of Nightwish, Epica, Eluveitie, The Agonist and many others, until I heard them on UA-cam. Now I own all of their albums and I have gone to many of their concerts. Without UA-cam I may never have known of these bands that you never hear on American radio.
Tesseract - Concealing the Fate Part 2 (Deception)
The Human Abstract - Faust
Protest The Hero - Bone Marrow or Blood Meat
Something different than just full on metal or death metal or black metal.
Arch Enemy - We Will Rise + Fields of Desolation (LIVE Tyrants of the Rising Sun 2008)
my first 2 Metallica albums (cassettes) Ride The Lighting & Master of Puppets! 🙌😎 a “jibarito” from 🇵🇷 in 10th grade! back in 1986
Anathema- Internal Landscapes
Anathema- Dreaming Light ua-cam.com/video/Mk0OF9DdVhw/v-deo.html
Anathema- Flying live from Bulgaria
Anathema- Untouchable live from Bulgaria
Anathema- Simple mistake live in Universal Concert
Anathema- Natural Disaster live Sort of Homecoming
reaction time for the night ! woot woot !
I've listened to a ton of metal and punk in my life and I don't think there is any song ever written that is more aggressive than this one.
Perfect song to hear just after some BH contractions.
Hope you’re feeling alright.
Great song great album
Thx Both....
Indeed, it's really difficult to play on Bass Guitar Metallica sometimes, when you have a Steve Harris style, with free fingers (without mediator)
But i take the choice "From who the bells tolls" rythm by easy playing
See soon both...& let's Rock !!!
youtube didn't kill file-sharing, the Napster idea evolved into torrents, with torrents you can DL anything you want.
Full discographies, movies, tv, software, etc.
FYI it's legal to download torrents in canada, just not legal to upload copyrighted content...
The tension is obvious with you two im surprised you did this reaction video when you did it instead of waiting for another day.
It's Spring!!! How about going tribal with The Hunt or Pain by Sepultura and Soulfly? Get pumped up for summer.
easily, one of my favorite riffs.
R I P cliff burton
One of the best part for me is when it end the next song is master of puppet. The continuous flow between the two song is absolutely amazing...
If I remember correctly Battery was a club they used to play in Frisco and this song is an ode to those fans.
Such an epic way to start an album.
Nice shirt!
Vin and Sori, I got 2 song suggestions for you: 1 is Cradle of Filth's frontman, Dani Filth's other band Devilment and their song "Even Your Blood Group Rejects Me" and the other is "The Bee" by Amorphis. Especially since you two enjoyed Amongst Stars so much!
Pink Floyd - coming back to life 🤩😘😍😘🤩🤩🤩😍😍 from nepal
This song is so fucking awesome.
well back in the day before internet if you wanted learn how to play a song you went to library and borrowed tablatures for the song or if you had friend or family member who knew the song to teach it to you or if you had money time effort you went to music school learning notes and stuff.
1:53 dude... Those eyes... You da man! Gonna be a good daddy for sure. OMG I'M SO HAPPY FOR YOU GUYS!!!! (btw, Battery is some great metal)
The baby was like: "hit that play button I wanna hear Metallica!". I hope you are feeling better and Vin, dude you look like you are to be a great father, his face just entered dad/husband mode there, obviously taking care of Sori.
Battery?? Fuckin YES!!
This is my ringtone
Take care of yourself, Sori... ❤️ ❤️❤️
Vin had the same reaction I had when I first started watching my kids mom having Bbraxton hicks. You think she is going into labor. It's gonna be one if the really awesome songs that y'all react to that's gonna send her into labor. 🤘🤓🤘 REACTOR BABY!!! "Whenever music hits the radio, and you don't know how you feel about a certain song? NEVER FEAR, REACTOR BABY IS HERE!" They say the baby can hear the music the mother is listening to, and will actually get excited. Hey Vin, I learned this song and many other MetallicA songs, but have figured out that if you learn the harder songs, the others are easy, I love playing the guitar.
That riff from Metallica - HELL YAEAH!!!
You guys arguing is simply comedy gold lmao
One of there best songs
1:05 I KNEW IT!!!
Well, I hope you're feeling good sori mate.
15:22 Ahh, reminds me of the good old days, when Kazaa was a thing everyone used. You could find the entire world in it.
Although, trying to send subliminal messages through video and audio is that too difficult... It won't be that effective without any conditioning, but I guess it might effect some people to a certain degree
I remember that Sori enjoyed No Leaf Clover. I think Sori doesn't enjoy the trash speed although she recognizes whenever there's some melody, reason why she enjoys more Maiden compositions and style. Different metal type
My favourite Metallica song. Just a powerhouse of a song.
Oh wow Napster, limewire, frostwire, piratebay omg so many - Lisa
You should have done the live 1989 SEATTLE concert that one is fucking insane , 1 of the best live metallica performances ever !!! \m/
Kinda surprised u guys haven't heard this song before. It's like the first song on Master of puppets. Great vid btw🤘.
Sori just scared the heck out of Vin! 😁 Though I really do hope Sori is okay.😮 Hey I don't see the baby registry?
you could totally play hit the lights today !
This cd since begin to end verygood all.
!!!!!That's Fire!!!!!
Vin if your arm is going dead, then I would assume the problem is that you’re tensing up in order to play the gallop rhythm at that speed. James is so fast because well he’s a robot but also bc he has a light touch and a very loose arm
8:55 This is one of the few early Metallica songs I can't play either. While the rhythm is in 4/4, they keep changing up where the next line starts, sometimes it starts on the '1' and some times it starts more on the '&' (if you are counting 1 and 2 and 3...). Messes me up every time, I just can't get the timing right on it.
Sori liked the song the blister exist and I think surfacing by Slipknot I think is aggressive
Absolutely agree about the reference to Hit The Lights and it's time stamp as a song that hasn't held up as well as their later material. Some may disagree but they really didn't hit their stride until Master Of Puppets, the first 2 albums was the band trying to find their sound and they nailed it by the third. Never really got the adoration for Ride The Lightning even if there were a few classics on there, another album that definitely shows it's age.
Hello Vin and Sori! I like your videos, reaction and analysis of the songs you've done! I discovered your channel this year and enjoy it! Thank you so much! I don't know if you have done reactions on any song by the bands Possessed, Kreator and Marduk. If not, would you please at some point can do one of each of those bands please? Possessed is a band from the Bay Area that coined the name "Death Metal" and is considered the band that basically started this genre. In 1989 Jeff Becerra, singer of Possessed, survived an armed robbery that left him paralyzed and after 18 years, in 2007, decided to reform the band. I recommend to do a video of a song from the "Seven Churches" album, which is considered the 1st Death Metal album (way before "Scream Bloody Gore", by the band Death). The song by the German band of Thrash metal that I would like to see you guys do a reaction and analysis, is called "Satan is real". And one by the Swedish black metal band Marduk, specially from the 90s. I know you've done some songs by the Swedish band of progressive metal Opeth, but I'm not sure if you've done one for the song "Blackwater Park", (which is an awesome song in my opinion). THANK YOU SO MUCH VIN AND SORI!!! THANKS!!! PEACE!!!
Metallica is one of my all time fave bands so when Vin gets down to some Metallica it's always good!
