    Stunning scenery. It’s like you had the whole island to yourself. Great riding roads. I’m not jealous 😉.
    Keep up the great vids. They really help us get through the cold winter months.

    I wouldn’t usually use words like ‘epic’ to describe a ride up in the hills…but…yes, “EPIC!” seems so apt in this instance. I don’t think you’ll find to many places the GB350 can’t take you, it’s proving to be very versatile indeed. Having visited Japan during 2024 I’m finding your channel is providing fresh perspective for me. I’ll have t get back there on two wheels!

    • @RideThruJapan
      @RideThruJapan  4 дні тому +3

      Thank you 🙏 yes, I actually debated the intro. 😂 Wasn’t sure if the ride was epic or just I felt that it was. Prior to hitting record I had been lost up in those roads for nearly 3hrs. The GB is a great machine, but have found her limitations on past rides that turned into trails. She will go with the right rubber, but the suspension isn’t geared for too much more than that. But, the bike has taken me further than I ever expected. Thank you for watching and the awesome comment! Hope to see you here someday!

    Fantastic adventure! 😍
    Now I understand why I fell in love with your videos so quickly, beyond just the amazing motorcycle!
    It’s because of our very similar values!
    In short: I can’t wait for the call from the dealer to say my bike has arrived / I have two Border Collies (plus three cats ☺️) / I love nature / I’m enchanted by Japanese culture / and I genuinely appreciate people who enjoy life and notice all its little details!
    Wishing you many more great trips … and through your professional videos, great experiences for us as well! 🙏Sorry for my poor English! Best regards!

    Excellent ride. Awesome images. Perfect bike, made in Japan. How do you feel the suspension on these roads? Greetings from Greece.

    • @RideThruJapan
      @RideThruJapan  3 дні тому +1

      Thank you 🙏 The suspension is good enough, never come close to bottoming out (I weigh 80kgs) I wouldn’t say it is great on super bumpy roads, definitely designed for cruising and clean roads, but had zero issues or complaints. Thanks for watching and dropping an awesome comment, hope to see Greece some day (mad history buff 😎)

    Awesome scenery, lovely ride 👍
    Amazing to see how good the Honda performs on tracks like this…. try some “scrambler” type tires on it and you have yourself a “scrambler” 👍

    • @RideThruJapan
      @RideThruJapan  4 дні тому +4

      Thank you…I went out for a chill ride, got lost for 3hrs and finally decided I may as well film. The bike did really well, but the tires were struggling with all the rocks on the road and moss etc. hardest part was the sun…the HDR video looks good but in reality I could see half the time 🤣Thanks for watching 🙏 Much more to come 😎 My wife wants me to get a second bike so we can ride together so may just get a scrambler. 🧐

      @ ah, thats cool, me and my Mrs ride most of the time together too, a Triumph T100 and an older Yamaha, hoping to change the Yamaha for something else next summer, got my eyes on a Honda VT750s (2010-2013) kinda Hondas answer on the HD sportster but way more reliable 😄, in the future a GB 350 is definitely on my list too, gonna test ride one as soon as they arrive in Sweden

    • @RideThruJapan
      @RideThruJapan  4 дні тому +1

      Sounds like a good choice! I have been planning on a triumph 1200x but now tempted to grab the 400x as Japan doesn’t really need much more bike then that and a smaller bike is nice on the tight mountain roads.

    • @robertboomsema4422
      @robertboomsema4422 4 дні тому +1

      @ I would recommend the 400x, rode the 400 speed and it was a blast, so easy to handle and way enough power for everything, would change the front sprocket in a 15 tooth though, just like the speed, the gearing on the speed feels just a bit nicer overall, 400x has a 14 tooth sprocket.😊

    • @RideThruJapan
      @RideThruJapan  4 дні тому +1

      @ Thank you 😊 yeah It seems to fit the bill and my budget pretty well for something that can get a little dirty and still feel good on the road. Plus my wife lives the GB so many days it is not in the garage 🤣 the 400x is a little taller and she just barely gets a foot down on the GB 😂

    I showed one of your videos to a nephew who went to that part of Japan with his girlfriend. They'd like to go back with their saucepans when they are a bit older so that they can appreciate it. He doesn't ride bixe tho so probably won't watch etc.
    Apart from that I was wondering if there are or were other bike manufacturers in Japan apart from the big 4?

    • @RideThruJapan
      @RideThruJapan  3 дні тому

      That is awesome! Hope they get the chance to experience it again. Good question. There are a few custom shops, but no bigger manufacturers jump to mind, have been curious about this myself and plan to look into it.

    BTW, where do you position yours microphone? Inside or in front of the helmet? Chest? Motor sound, road, even wet parts are acoustic present while there are no wind noises. 💯

    • @RideThruJapan
      @RideThruJapan  4 дні тому +2

      I use a rode lav mic into a zoom H6 recorder, with a fluffy on the mic I tuck it under the seat strap. It can be hit and miss for the wind, so I usually do a test each time. When I am talking it is bluetooth direct to the Insta360X4.
