Man your excitement for the 9th gen is just oozing out of that video!! So glad you got a car that you are passionate about, looking forward to all of your content coming our way!!
So glad you got the N/A k-series. I’m much more into the old school N/A Honda motors. You can get a lot of power out of those motors for fairly cheap and reliably if you buy the right parts from quality and proven companies. Can’t wait to watch the build. Congrats bruh👊🏼 I’ve seen plenty of k series all motor builds hit 300-310 hp to the wheels. You can get a lot more out of it than 210hp my dude.
Rod Thompson yeah the motor/engine thing got a little complicated after electric cars started coming out. I mean terminology wise-they are two different things a motor or an engine. I’m a southern boy from small town TN so I call them both and it means the same to me. I know the difference tho.
Great video, hope you enjoy the car bro. If you end up adding an after market radio (maybe pioneer) can you please record on how to install it on a civic?!
Definitely miss the k-series motor. I’d say do the Acuity intake first. I mean, you were going to get the Flashpro anyway 😄. Plus an exhaust does very little in regards to performance on a NA motor. I’d save the exhaust for when you are closer to doing some form of induction to it. Really excited to see how this build turns out
I run the setup you want. lol acuity cold air. Q300 catback.. I also run fullrace catless DP. Comp clutch, lightweight flywheel, RBC intake mani, 410 cc injectors . 🙏

Did this car have some sort of LED headlight bulb or like a super-white/blue halogen? I noticed the difference in the beam compared to the stock foglight beam. I want to do that for my 9th gen but nothing crazy like switching out the whole entire assembly. I look forward to your vids on this car but for now Im leaving my car stock
I have a stock 9th gen si. Love the car, looking at a supercharger kit! Super worth it in my opinion. I did a KN Typhoon and an aftermarket hood to clear the intake temps and vent the heat out. Full invidia exhaust.
For modding for power or reliability imo 9th gen is the way to go. When they went down to a 1.5 liter turbo sure they got the same stock power and better efficiency, but so much less headroom. And tbh I'm still not sold on the direct injection system of any manufacturer... Remember the golden rule, no replacement for displacement
I agree with you except a LOT of people will argue that this new motor is super capable and everything. From my perspective, the stock motor is decently reliable on a stage 1 tune, which nets a little more power than a full bolt on, tuned 9th gen. They’re both great in their own ways
@@Camhill182 only because of the turbo, which in essence is added displacement when in boost. Add a turbo to the k24 and it's a whole different game. Bigger engines will always have higher power potential. Or, from another perspective they will always put out the same power with less strain, so if they are built right they will last longer. You're going to hit either a size or reliability ceiling on a 1.5 well before you will on a 2.4. I have a 2012 Si and my buddy has a 5.0 mustang. If we both target 600whp he will hit it cheaper, easier, and more reliably than me. Doesn't mean I can't. Just that smaller engines have trade-offs. Imo 1.5 is just too small for a performance car. I do, however, have a soft spot for high revving engines though. F1 is my favorite motorsport. That said I can't wait to hear about your journey with the 9th gen :)
