I reuploaded this video to try to fit UA-cam Tos since it had limited ads. Bloodborne is a bit more over the top than other Fromsoft games so I tried to tone it down a little.
Also, Gascoigne is pronounced Gascon by NPCs so I said it like that.
ua-cam.com/video/pcRFhkOfHvs/v-deo.html
The UA-cam Tos, so easily forgotten
Oh great youtube~ Grant us ads, grant us ads~!
Glad you did. I got it recommended. First time watching
Tos, or some say Tosm
Gotcha. Get that bag
this game would've been better if i had to collect 20 levels of scadublood fragments
You mean like how you had to explore and kill enemies to level up and find upgrade materials for your weapons? Same thing different name. Notice how you can steam roll old hunters in Bloodborne with a high level character
@@proggz39 not the same. The game is so much smaller its never a hassle to actually find upgrade materials. And the dlc is approachable even at mid level like lvl 50. So blood echoes still give meaninful boosts.
@proggz39 I think bloodborne would be a much worse experience if there was only enough level up materials to max one weapon lol.
Scadu fragments would be way better if they were plentiful and you felt like you were progressing with every thing you did in game.
Let's not talk like blood gems aren't a thing
@@carlossssssss5492 There are guaranteed blood gems throughout the game that easily allow you to beat it with enough damage. You don't need giga cracked blood gems to progress and there's plenty of winter lanterns on the way through the main game that you could get a really good one.
father gas can 🧐
🧑 ⛽️ 🫙
My favorite boss frozen gasoline
More like father Gaston! The ultimate beast hunter.
Actually the closest to how you are pronouncing Gascoigne in French.
Bloodborne is actually not better at level 4
Right? Miyazaki didn’t add a level system to make the game worse
he explained it in an earlier video but the title means that you will get the same experience you had on your first souls playthrough again on minimum level. Before you got good
@proggz39 yeah, he's actually all about using all the resources at your disposal (according to a recent interview).
It's crazy how allergic you guys are to challenging yourselves
@@CLL21 thats kinda sad, imagine the dev team working countless hours making every boss, only for the player never even see the moveset because they stacked multiple buffs and used a summon to stunlock and kill the boss in 10-30 seconds
I fucking Love Bloodborne
Dude I JUST took my PS4 out of my basement to play Bloodborne...
Funny considering this is also a reupload.
I miss having a basement and a ps4
What I've learned from this analysis:
We are born of the jank, made men by the jank, undone by the jank.
Our i-frames are yet to open.
Fear the old jank.
By Miyazaki, fear it, good hunter.
Peak comedy as always feeble
oh... yeh I thought this was a reupload xD i can't watch it again but I'll comment for the algo :)
Apologies if I missed it but did you know about transformation attacks? It's a mechanic not in the older games but that is very useful since you deal double damage when you use them (and they look cool!). Try them if you haven't :D
You missed my favorite hunter-type boss, the bloody crow of cainhurst
Sorry for not rewatching the whole way for watch time, but I will leave a comment to improve interaction.
I still wish elden ring had a parry system based around crossbows giving an alternative to parrying because I love being able to parry without needing to sacrifice health if I do fail.
I hate to say it but This game is the easiest by far in the lineup for me. Parrying is so heavily incentivised that it makes like 80% of the game free.
Free bullets for parrying
Free health for parrying
Damage boosts for parrying
More echoes for parrying
Its crazy.
Agreed. Bosses are way too easy but it is a much older game so it can lean on that as an excuse. I still replay it the least because there’s so much mid
@tyler547 Some friends and I were bored one night and decided to rank every soulsborne boss on a big tier list.
The amount of C and D tier entries we had for bloodborne surprised us at first. We only had like 3-4 above B tier.
Also Id say its even easier than DS1 tbh. For some reason the slowness of 1 keeps it middle of the list in terms of difficulty for me.
@@extrakrispy81 Fully agreed. Im literally worse at ds1 than elden ring because it feels so weird when i go back to it. I think ds2 killed me more than any other game to this day.
Played today after the Elden ring dlc, even the orphan wasn’t that difficult and I remember straight up not being able to beat it
I think you might have missed the part (he should’ve given it more attention tbh) where it is mentioned that viscerals are significantly worse at bl4. Visceral damage scales mainly with skill, but also increases each blood level. This is the main way to increase visceral damage. Meaning that after the early game you get more damage going for a charged heavy instead of a visceral. And the later in the game you get, the bigger the difference.
I definitely had a build based on viscerals my first playthrough, it is fun. Restoring bullets on a successful one especially is clutch. BUT you are not restoring bullets or healing or getting that damage buff without a visceral. And especially against harder bosses, it is tough to sacrifice a ton of damage.
I agree that in general, Bloodborne is not super tough. But I thought you might be lacking context to mention specifically the parrying as a reason why it is easy. Most of the time yes, not bl4 though.
Can’t wait for “is shadow of the erdtree better at level 1?”
so far during my run it is, still fear shit like radahn aoe and 1-2 cross but so far the bosses are better. Except Jori, he can eat a fat backstab loop since its just gideon but worse
It's really really fun to see how much different each person's experiences with fromsoft games can be. For me bloodborne was by far the easiest game fromsoft has ever made. I literally never died to orphan of kos even once, even after 6 runs. And I'm not trying to just show how I'm good or shit like that, because I probably died more to ds3 bosses than most people. It's just nice to see how each person has a unique experience with these games, you never know how someone will end up untill they actually beat the game.
Same bro. I think it was because Bloodborne has my favorite atmosphere/story and I was motivated to see every part of it so it didn't seem that difficult. Honestly, Owl from Sekiro kicked my ass more than any other, more so than Malenia or the SoTE boss
No. No it isn’t.
Allergic to challenge huh
@@user-es9ig3qh4j that’s just tedium. Not the kind of challenge I’m looking for.
@@user-es9ig3qh4jHe said it himself is better in some parts but WORSE in others
I really want to know how the “survive with 1 hp” mechanic works in from soft games. It’s the same every time afaik, applying to you and enemies. Definitely inspires some memorable moments.
Finally someone tells it like it is regarding the combat mechanics. As much as I love (to hate) them the souls games play like a brick compared to BB.
Comment from OG vid: Did you try out lies of P? I was really impressed by the game for a first attempt at a souls-like from neowiz it was a banger in my opinion.
No I didn't end up playing that one, although i might get around to buying it one of these days.
@@feebleking21 if you do end up playing it, I recommend focusing on parries as I felt that playstyle was the most rewarding. However lies of P does have alot of ways to respond to enemies so do experiment if you end up not liking the tight window on parries.
@@feebleking21 Lies of P is on Steam sale right now. Worth every penny and easily one of the best non FromSoft soulslikes.
@@feebleking21I also really recommend it. It has some really great bosses, though in my opinion it's first half is fantastic, crescendos, then there is about 1/4 of it that I really felt was quite bad before another fantastic 1/4 at the end with three good bosses in the end. It's like a combination of Sekiro with Bloodborne.
I can’t believe bro did bloodborne lv4 but still has the scrubbiest opinion about elden ring dlc
Mb because all the bosses aside from rellana mezmer frenzy guy (why not vyke sadge) and bayle are actual boring slop
He's done them all I'm pretty sure. And honestly the elden ring DLC is alright but it's not the as good as people make it out to be
Yep. Bloodborne is better in lvl4. It’s a nice challenge. Good work.
With Darkbeast Paarl, you can actually dodge the AOE if you time right with the lock-on off. It's hard at first but its better than just trying to run away from it.
How is countering Orphan P2 attacks with backstan not engaging with his movesets? Is it an exploit to dodge hits correctly?
Cause it's really just a waiting game, I had attempts where I was dodging around for 3+ minutes without getting the opportunity.
@@carlossssssss5492 I think the point is that it's a core mechanic that interacts with the moveset. Also, almost everything leads to a backstab opportunity in either phase, so it definitely allows for engaging with a variety of moves. Notable exceptions are the projectile attacks at a distance, but you wouldn't be able to punish those anyway.
@@Dargonsouls look at the way even challenge runners engage with his second phase moveset, he has two punishable attacks.
@@carlossssssss5492 Sure, most players take the path of least resistance, but there's definitely more than two punish windows. It would be tedious to list all the variations.
"The witch of henwick at level 4"
Blud has 0 insight IRL and not in game
I can't even begin to imagine the hell that phase 2 orphan would be at level 4. Everytime i fight him phase 1 feels normal while phase 2 feels like I'm running away from satan himself while waiting for him to miraculously die before he catches me
"My son will learn the dodge mechanics and study the i-frame rates by evading" vs "cummmmpfk"
Amazing video!!
Youd have a better time limiting your Vitality level and leveling up your offensive options.
I did multiple playthroughs where i got vigor to 20-25 but got skill or blootinge to 40 and endurance to 30 and had a great time finishing the games around BL65-80
You can beat the game at an even lower level then too because that is about double the stamina you need, for real :)
@@teeess970 That's what everyone says but even at endurance 25 i didn't feel comfortable.
I like roleplaying as an athletic hunter, not an asthmatic who has to retreat after 2 hits.
if u had fun thats all that matters. But thats not the most optimal stat spread. espescially when the effectiveness of vials is determined by your max health. And theres runes that increase stamina and stam recovery. Many meta pvp builds run base stamina shockingly
Ah, now i see how people could possibly consider this game hard. You dont parry! Gascoigne is there to teach you how to parry not to try and dodge the beast he becomes. I first tried gascoigne on my first playthrough cause someone told me parrying is good and i should learn it.
Actually, Father Gascoin is the first boss, the cleric beast and other bosses are just optional bosses, if u can continue the game immediately after a boss fight like getting to a new area that's a regular story boss!
Great content dude keep it up
Fun fact about Orphan of Kos I learned while trying to practice speedrunning on NG+
His placenta spin and jump attacks are actually parryable in both phases.
It's the only way i was able to reliably beat his second phase.
In a low level run the jump attack parry might he too risky though as you can still get hit and die even if the parry is successful because of how the hitbox lines up!
gz man, its a huge accomplishment. Also your damage looked so low. were you playing without bloodgems or is this how damage looks on bl4 wit a +10 weapon with 2x 18% and 1x 15% blood gem?
Sometimes I think I should do these types of videos too, but damn you really cooked in this one. You are very talented when it comes to this type of content
Thanks!
father gasgahn eatin some fuggin gabagool
how many times have you guys played bloodborne? i played it like 2nand a half times and i consider it my favourite game but i feel like there’s a bit less replay value than the other games
I've played it 11 times now, playing with a different weapon is like a whole new experience, my favourite soulsborne game
Nah bloodborne weapon variety is goated
Whats the music you used for orphan? Sounds super familiar. I think its hallow knight but i cant be sure
Sealed Vessel from Hollow Knight
Hell yeah, it’s finally here!
Would you ever consider doing a video on Lies of P? Would be interested in your take on it.
Whenever a crazy moment happens where I barely live through something I always say, “Praise Alvina.” (The cat from ds1)
Micolash is at the top! At the top when looking at the ranking in reverse 😂😂😂😂😂
I no longer feel bad about using the same strat on Orphan as you for exactly the same reasons. I struggled for 2 days on him (not nearly as many hours mind you and i was fully upgraded, im just bad). I couldnt figure out a good pattern to beat phase 2 and like you i looked online and found that jump bait strat and thats how i got it done. It felt dirty kind of, but if YOU werent able to work it "legit" after so many hours what hope did i have? And you are right, after doing some quick searching i cant hardly find anyone whos done the fight "legit" either. Seems were all just meant to do it this way.
Rewatching the upload to support the King, no matter how feeble he may be
Gg man. You gotta do Elden Ring at lvl 1.
No heals is too easy. RL1 proves your worth.
good vid I still need to play through this one
Can't wait to see your Elden Ring lvl1 no scadutree no upgrade run.
i thought you'd try to parry chain orphan after a few hours LOL
Cool video! I wonder what his thoughts Shadow of the Erdtree are?
He said it was the worst Fromsoftware dlc yet
@@darkmatter9643 aaaand bam! Credibility gone
@@Stanzbey69why
@@Stinkymoe it’s just complaining and doomposting. ‘Fromsoft has lost the plot’ simply because he doesn’t enjoy ER’s complexity (yes, it’s by far the most complex souls game) is cringe. Not to mention his tone during the entire video.
It’s peak pseudo intellectualism, nothing more. Wannabe joseph anderson, who himself is a pseudo intellectual who doesn’t understand these games.
@@darkmatter9643wait 6 months and he’ll say it’s the best fromsoft dlc yet after Joseph Andersen uploads a critique.
5:33 the most average blood starved beast experience.
Bloodborne’s lore is a lot Orr coherent than that of the other games, so I don’t understand the criticism of it.
The writing in some of these fights like the laurence one the ludwig one and orphan one is movie like😂
will you do shadow of the erdtree lvl 1?
He tried and failed that’s why he said game bad (skill issue)
Is this a re upload?
LESSguuu Reupload gonna rewatch it tho gud video
"Hey, he's at Orphan of Kos now. I wonder how long this section will b- Oh God."
Bloodborne is my favorite of the soulsborne games and I consider it a 10/10, having sunk almost 1000 hours into it. Having said that, I bear no shame in admitting that, while my skill at the game has very obviously improved over the years, for me personally, a level 4 run is probably always going to fall outside my capabilities and that's perfectly fine! I can however, see the appeal for someone who can manage to git that level of God. Regardless of how any plays though, I'm just happy I'm not the only one who seems to play this game through at least a few times each year.
I can ask according to the Bloodborne community why some bosses such as Ludwig and Laurence were very difficult for me while instead Ebrietas, Lady Maria, logarius and other bosses considered very difficult I killed them first try.... is it just my problem?
For sure. No chalice dungeon BL 4 is amazing fun. Feels very much like BL 120 NG Max
I guess I’m gonna watch it again great video
Thanks man
surprised you didn’t do the micolash cheese. i always do it.
Oh yeah it's rewatch time
Just a small nitpick you refer to ebrietas and others as a beast type boss. She is not, she is a great one. The main enemy types in bloodborne are beast, kin, and neutral(which is generally a human). Where as the main boss types are beast, great one or neutral.
Rom, eibrietas, amygdala, celestial emissary, mergo's wet nurse and moon presence are the great one bosses in the base game. With orphan being one in the dlc.
You can generally tell whether a creature is a beast or not by if they are weak to serration.
Fun fact about ludwig, is contrary to most bosses in bloodborne who become beasts like father, fathers phase 2 is a beast and gets the weakness to serration. Ludwig regains his humanity to meet you as a man and loses his weakness to serration in his phase 2.
Please do an ER DLC review or critique, I'd love to hear what you think about it!
This is nonsense, i fought him for 35 minutes straight with a torch without getting hit
I personaly never struggle with the Lugarious run back.
Beat kos first try on ng+ bcs i was to lazy to make a new save and try the dlc
I was literally watching the original upload, then I got this notification. Huh, weird.
Bloodbourne was so good, better than the dull empty open world of shadow of the rollslop tree
How can there be a bad boss in a perfect game?
I decided to play this game again after years and man. It's so perfect is what I would like to say but its really hindered by the fact that it runs at 15-20 fps. It's so laggy, i hate fighting bosses with effects cause my frames drop alot. Idk why Sony doesn't want to remake this game or just port it, its such a wasted potential and money. I don't want to have to jailbreak my console just to play it on 60fps. People say you forget about it but I didn't before and I still haven't.
Shadow of the Erdtree is worse if you don’t try to learn the bosses!
Im trying this run and shadows are my biggest roadblock so far
if you think bloodborne is the hardest from soft game you’ve gotta be insane
Yo mama
i hated the boss for the first 7 hours but after that it was fun LMAO
Fighting the witch can be easy if you lose all your insight
love this game❤
I just watched the OG upload lol.
Who is Father Gascon
Duuuuuude, you should play Sifu! I would love to see you make a video on it. Also, I think Kingdom Hearts 2 Critical Mode would be something you'd enjoy. Cheers!
Spongebob Aproves!
Bro really just called Ebrietas a HE? 😂
W channel fr love your videos 🙏
Daddy gas can 😂
Getting one shot by everything in a bad frame paced game isn't fun. And I played through the game at LVL 4 and even did dungeons. It was pretty terrible. Especially constantly grinding for blood vials.
I was so confused as I was sure I had seen this video before lol
God i loved this video. It sounds like you’re actually talking about something significant to you and important.
I for one was especially disappointed at how many new and unique enemies the dlc had. Should have copy/pasta'd everything like ER.
no its not cuz I cant use chikage or moonlight greatsword
Kos is NOT the hardest boss in gaming history 😂 I beat it 3rd try. Laurence and Ludwig are way harder than Kos
It's subjective, on my replays I usually beat Ludwig first try, but always die several times to Kos on every playthrough.
Yeah you need to play hello kitty adventure island and never touch any game above that comprehension level.
Am I high or is this a reupload
I like the use of Hollow Knight music here
I like gimmick bosses cause they add others flavours when fightinh a boss and not only the "git gud" i love rom causa it made me think and be patience
idk in my opinion i think ds1 is the hardest fromsoft game ever made i think bloodborne is the easiest on my playthrough i never died more than 4 times to any boss i think bloodborne is a good introduction game to anyone new to fromsoft games
"I dont understand the lore, therefore the lore should be changed so bosses arent bad" is what I'm picking up from this
lore can always be represented in a myriad of ways
@@duckchen2676 but saying "i dont understand the lore, so they should change the lore and get rid of this boss" is not a valid criticism
I can’t believe you didn’t pronounce it orphan of chaos like it’s supposed to be pronounced 😂 (k-os)
This is definitely from softs hardest game right behind Armored core last raven
Man idk if I wanna watch an hourlong video dancing around the fact that getting one shot is not fun.
Just wait till you get to the part where he spends weeks at orphan without learning to parry his attacks to trivialize the fight.
@@IntimacyMN I want to mock the man missing the very obvious way go about that fight, but that's honestly just impressive that he did it no parry.
@@IntimacyMN
Visceral attack damage scales with blood tinge meaning they do almost zero damage on a BL4 run.
@@BBQcheese Because the utility of being able to stun orphan and hit it with anything else you want isn't good enough i guess.
@@IntimacyMN
It's much easier, more consistent and does more damage stun him with a backstab. Gun parries are pretty useless at BL4.
Your ahadows fight was a terrible strat lol. You should watch lress continues bl4 guides
