@@JacobE-23 I use meguairs hybrid in the blue bottle and use carnauba on top of that for the wet look. Good combo. I can see how being in a body shop would suck with that stuff lol.
I mean if your car has a weak layer of paint then you're kinda fucked. Here we just use some kinds of little scratchy discs to cut that frozen snow of the windows and use a a brush for the hood and roof. Anything that you can't get off will most likely melt while driving to some extent.
Wouldn't recommend brushing your car with anything if it has snow/ice. The micro-fibre might not scratch it, but the ice crystals will. Blower is by far the best / safest
@@freshd6278 it depends on the temperature and moisture and time, not the amount of snow. Even a small layer like that, here where I live, the top bit will be fluff and the bottom will be ice and rough crystals. You can almost even see in the video, the denser snow on the bottom on the car brushed off , while even that small layer just flies off with the blower. Given it's cold enough the bottom layer is mostly crystallized and will 100% scratch paint. When I was in my teens I worked as a lot attendant for some car dealerships, and in the winter we would only ever dare remove snow with blower packs. Seen many newbies get canned for this.
Giggles in Nova Scotia Canada after having dealt with many major heavy ice storms with well over 80km winds with a foot of snow or more being dumped on us.
That leaf blower only works for snow when it's super cold out. Normally in heavier snowfall it melts a little so you end up with a layer of ice underneath and then the snow accumulates on top. Just brush the damn car off and detail it in the spring.
The main reason why snow is bad on the hood of your car is because of the loose stuff on top that blows onto the defrosted window and sticks then melts. The partially-melted packed stuff usually comes off in big chunks instead of a blinding cloud like the loose stuff on top.
Detailing will not heal scratches to the paint my friend. But if you don’t care about the paint cuz maybe that paint is the least of your problems then go right ahead.

We've been having 80-120km/hr winds regularly this year since October. Those ziplock baggies and windshield cover would be in Morocco by now.
Excuse me what?
@@safia3397 It totally sucks! I think it has to be a new seasonal record for where I live. It's made putting up Halloween and Christmas decorations almost pointless which makes me so sad. Currently under a freezing rain warning and the wind is picking up, so I'm prepped for the power to go out 🙄

Or using that leaf blower at 5 am
@@Tja-oz8bj 4:30 am... i was looking for this lol
The leaf blower works amazing in conjunction with paint that’s been ceramic coated.
If your cars ceramic coated you don't need to worry about scratching the paint with the little bristles of the snow brush lol. Shits hard as hell and takes for ever to even SAND through. I work at a body shop and I hate people that do it to thier car 😂 however yes, makes for easy snow removal
@@JacobE-23 I use meguairs hybrid in the blue bottle and use carnauba on top of that for the wet look. Good combo. I can see how being in a body shop would suck with that stuff lol.
He definitely lives without bad winters. Up north Here we get a lot of ice with our snow. It'll freeze the snow.
That's facts, was sitting here wondering how tf I was gonna blow 20 pounds of ice off my car with a leaf blower
Not to mention the wet and heavy snow from the lake that is so heavy that a leaf blower is ineffective
Glad you said it !!

Free the windshield, start driving and let the wind take care of the rest🤷♂️
@@freshd6278 And damage another person's car in the process.
@@midnightstrove6784 I am not talking about ice blocks, more like the amount of snow in the video
I'm so glad to see you still being this awesome, for YEARS, my guy.

Michigan here also laughing at this weak as powdered snow
@@TripedalTroductions I know in Pennslyvania you have to clear the whole car off of snow, cause if a big snow clump comes off and hits the car behind you, you’re liable for the damage

I love these tips, I can't wait to use them! (My faded paint appreciates the effort)
One thing that may help if you don’t have that cover for the windshield is to use either some garbage bags, or a tarp in a pinch. If the tarp has holes, you may be able to use that and tie it down.

This is great tips if you live in an area that doesn't snow much or it's a powdery snow. I live in Michigan. I had to use a hair dryer and various other things for a few hours to get my driver door open because it had snowed and then decided to have some freezing rain.
Dang girl , u could have used hot water by the door gaps and pull it open .
@@eagleeye8916 hot water could shatter any glass it touches. I just booty bump my car door between the handle and the door Crack. That usually breaks up any ice between there. If that doesn't work, ice scraper until it does.
@@eagleeye8916 when my husband was running late and couldn’t defrost his car fast enough, I’d tell him to get water but he would get hot water and it freaked me out! You could really damage your car using the hot water in below freezing temperatures. I would grab cold water and pour it on the windshield to melt the ice. Hot water would freeze back up INSTANTLY too which is a bigger risk. Using colder water, it won’t freeze as fast and can eventually get the ice off the car long enough to properly defrost it.
@@Alaskan907 yea I wouldn't put it by the glass either, just the door jams . The old booty bumb that's a new one for me lol
