Not guaranteed to find one? Are we playing the same game? Nobody picks them up, not even lifelines. + in the endgame u don't have an ability to stand still for 20+ seconds to wait for ur ult to come down, then 8 to res ur teammates, then for ur teammates to come down without A SINGLE PIECE OF LOOT.

Lifeline's ability to drop one with her ult can be a real game-changer when you're in a tight spot. If the enemy's not pushing too hard or you've got some decent cover, you can definitely try a rez. And your mates can always loot the nearby deathboxes. So, it's not all bad.
I honestly think a lifeline rework is coming sooner than most think because in the Rev storyline one of the leads said that someone might die and this may allow lifeline to get a rework without being axed from the lore completely, or they just replace her completely idk
I think jamie loba’s friend is going to die that way they dont “lose” a playable character but i’d love it if lifeline was going to be the one so she can get a rework.
As a lifeline main, I think some great buffs could be added without breaking the game. A few could be: -Make her revives silent -Sped up revives -Buff care package loot -Bring INSTANT revive interact back there is still a slight animation time. -old hit box?

You can have a legend that’s only used for a mid fight revive when you’ve got other legends that can do it better. They could easily add on some things to the passive to help her out.. silent revive, quicker revive, etc, they could make it so the health drone is moveable again so your not stuck in a 2m radius when using one of your most important abilities, and at this point they can just scrap the care package and give her ult a full re work. There’s a million things you could do with her instead of just saying eh it is what it is
Season 0 Lifeline veteran here, and have NEVEr stopped playing lifeline, 213 Wins (I only play Ranked since it came out, my poilicy is: Never Pubs no matter what) Regular Plat/diamond and will never abandon her. (my second most played legends are crypto and bloodhound with around 100 wins each) Have pulled insane clutches with her revive and the guardian angel skill (formerly gold backpack, now gold knockdown) BUUUT, would greatly apreciate a little buff...
As someone who started playing Apex in Season 15. Hearing all of this really sucks ass because lifelines revive ability is really a matter of luck most of the time, especially because brain dead randoms expect me to run out in open areas with mad teams shooting just to revive them when they decided to randomly push by themselves. Can’t tell you all the things I’ve been called for not immediately reviving someone whose got main character syndrome.
lifeline has a pickrate that seems to be almost totally divorced from the value she brings to a team. She is inferior to Newcastle as a combat medic so I think it is mostly her small hitbox that causes her get picked more. Which just goes to show how bummy a large part of the playerbase is.
For a "beginner legend" lifeline's ult always confused me, because even after all the tweaks it still reveals your position to a whole lobby. And people who are actively searching for enemies will come to you ASAP Also It would be nice if her drone could block doors, was bigger to provide more cover or quieter, because its very easy to find lifeline, when she heals. They just gotta replace her care package with a self revive, and add on automatic respawn station usage with her passive. Her doc drone is fine imo, it would be kinda funny if doc did a small damage shock to nearby enemies though.
Tbh lifeline shield should comeback but instead of it being unbreakable it should be like Newcastle where her knockdown shield determines the health of the barrier
Yea she can stay exactly how she is now but give her like a 15% faster heal. I think that would be balanced she wouldn’t be too OP or pub stomper but she would be more unique and fun to justify playing her other than free loot
I am lifeline main with 20bombs and 8000+ kills. She is useable but most of the legends are more fun to play than her. In a fight, new castle is a better choice for reviving. Lifeline need 100% skill play to get out of a tight situation while other legends such as Horizon just need to press Q.
Octane has the only tactical that puts more in. Disadvantage using to take 20% of your health can even use in fights unless someone running away it’s really only his jump pad saving him and that’s not all dat good
i play with lifeline, i am not really a veteran player i joined on like the tenth season, but for a support class lifeline offers a lot of utility! the tactical helps you and/or your teammates heal without having to use syringes, on top of that you can pair the tactical with a shield battery to basically get your entire health back in a couple seconds. then i really dont get why people bash on the ultimate, the time frame when youre visible isnot so massive anymore that literally the entire lobby comes flocking to you, sure it makes a lot of noise and people can still see it but thats why you use it in a safe enviroment and not when everybody's health is bottomed out. the ultimate also gives golden shields like id say 70 percent of the time going into late game, which is really helpful for healing even faster. i get that lifeline is probably not in the meta, but its hella fun to play with, ive had so many tense moments where my tactical completely turned the battle around and auto revive while not insanely good anymore is still very decent at getting your teammates healed. i also dont get the comparison with newcastle, i think the overlap between the two is very small, any competent player can interrupt either of their revive abilities as long as they're close enough, i honestly prefer lifeline's autoheal over newcastles shield cause at least with lifeline youre not tied down in one place and can distract and fight the enemies while your teammate gets their footing
i started playing with the start of season 14 & always thought "damn, she gets nerfed, buffed and generally changed so often!" so i dont wanna know how it felt/still feels for ppl who play way longer than i do XD i liked her a lot (nah what am i saying, i loved her so much help) when i started and even called myself a lifeline main the until i was lvl 15 or so edit: apex teased this "not everyone may make it out alive" recently and together with rev reborn and the lore around her (conversations with octane, the strange door in the range) rn *really* feels like there is a big lifeline rework on the way and what would be super cool i think
If respawn still wanna use the carepackage better to give a big buff,like add some domeshield and will give the effect 25%fast heal and revive,to cover the teammate in open area.Because it's kinda sucks when support can't cover the team with her own ability
I hated the hands off green shield rez she used 2 have, but since new castles exists anyways, they should give it back to her to make her relevant again.
As a Lifeline main since S4, I have to say, they just should give us back fast heals. I dont even care about the double revive, let me revive manually again or smth. Just give the care package a green LED and an option to res fallen teammates with it plus give her a big shield with small health like Newcastle or just give her the og res animation with the shield and skip the drone unless it’s her tac. This outright buff would massively make her viable again and would be so fun.
Her revive should re-introduce the shield. Not as long as it was, but enough to stop front forward firing from the enemy trying to get that ez free kill. Also her revives should be slightly quicker then it is now.
A step into the right direction would be to give her a passive similar to gold knock down shield. Gives bonus health and armor to the revived teammates (maybe not as much as golden KO shields)
I genuinely believe the Season 9 Shied res was removed because of Arenas, She ended up being pretty good in the Arenas meta and I can imagine she would have been even stronger (and possibly a must pick in Arenas). It really sucks since she had a decent amount of skill expression back on launch and now it's all gone...
My heart died as a lifeline main.That rez shield was crazy. She just needs an ultimate upgrade and make her viable again. I feel bad for my teammates because i always pick her now and they think i'm trolling. It is rough
The problem is that it's very difficult to balance a healer support in a game like apex I would probably suggest a change that makes her more combat based like making her ult a mobile respawn + her drone can pick up respawn tokens like crypto can or being able to see which direction enemies are shooting from
I started to play Apex 1 week after it came out and have been a Lifeline main for a long time. I eventually couldn't deal with the constant nerfs and reworks and respawn slowly killing her into oblivion so I eventually moved on to Valkyrie. Never looked back. I'd love for a Lifeline complete rework like Rev had. One can hope. I miss my girl.
yeah her and octane feel so pointless now tbh, I love playing Octane for his stim ability but his pad just seems useless, like if I tried using it, id be beamed out of the sky. Lifeline her abilities all together is useless, like i'd much rather med kit or use small heals than wait on the drone to heal, and the care package never has anything useful for me the only upside to her kit is the ability to revive with just the drone.
Give lifeline +1big med/slot as her passive (gold bag ability), and an instant rez to 1-25 hp that heals 50-100 shields for her ult (depending on HER armor level? or something else like how Newcastle passive depends on knockshield.). Keep her tac the same (pairs perfectly with my proposed ult) and get rid of her old passive rez. Possibly you could bump the power level even more by giving her/team faster healing for limited duration from her ult...or other passive abilities...It's honestly ridiculous how much better all the newer legends are compared to old ones.

Lifeline is so cute i love her i play everyday along with Valkyrie . It would be cool if they could make a new support character who can fly like valk but can pick u up kinda like fortnite and heal u . My go to legend was lifeline I have 86,000 kills with her from season 1 up until valkyrie came out then I stopped playing the game because of life n stuff. I recently just got a new Xbox and a new account because I couldn’t access my old one anymore, didn’t really care tbh was just happy to be playing Apex was hella exited to play lifeline until I saw what they did to her I can’t believe they obliterated my girl lmao no fast heals no shield when reviving and a bigger hit box. I mained her back in season 0. We were eating good back then. Then I stopped playing the game for years. When I came back I couldn't believe how trash she became on every level, so I switched to being a loba main.
May sound ridiculous but a good lifeline is the worst thing to fight this season and that’s because of the double tap. Let’s say your teams gone in killed 2 but both of them died as well. Little lifeline comes along and you have a choice either one usually ending in death. She’s not bad when the right persons using her. (Deffo not me). I want her to go back to her original kit tho because it required more skill and was fun to use against enemies.
What? Her passive is absolutely not the strongest revive. Newcastle does the job of combat medic better than lifeline. Most of the time you are just shot because there is no shield while being revived by drone.
@@samueldawkins shield always was just a crutch, a noob trap for bad support players, you shouldn't revive in the open to begin with, because even if you safely pull it off, your mate is still 1 shot stationary target. Being able to revive while defending yourself and your target is way stronger than a weak shield that doesn't cover you well. It can be situationally better, but again, reviving in the open is a bad idea no matter who you play as.

The scenario of a teammate going down in the open shows how superior Newcastle is since he can move the teammate to cover while rezing or create cover. It is better than lifeline in most situations. it is the lifeline passive that is only better under specific situations. The rez shield covers well and is strong on level two and close to OP on level 3 or 4. Lifeline is the noob legend.
@@samueldawkins pretty sure you're either ignorant or straight up trolling, but I'll explain anyway. The biggest upside of Lifeline revive is it being autonomous. You don't lose your ability to shoot, heal, move or use other abilities. Even if your teammates end up getting downed again, you can just tap them once more, effectively resetting their knockdown health and denying enemy kills. This is just her passive btw, which doesn't cost anything and has no cooldown. Shields aren't everything, as most competent players will push the knock and trying to pull a revive off during that essentially puts your team into 1 v 3, which is why Lifeline revives often come in clutch. The only corner cases where Newcastle revive gets more benifits is if you use teammates as meatshields with revive canceling or when you set up on a good position but one of your teammates got caught in the open. Newcastle's revive shield is nowhere near as good as old Lifeline's used to be, it doesn't cover you from above at all, meaning any enemy with slight elevation get easy headshots on you while you're essentially crouching. While Mirage and Newcastle have strong revive utility, Lifeline's is still the best.

I will take Newcastle on my team over lifeline everytime and you assessment of how easy it is to shoot behind the rez shield isn't accurate from experience and that situation doesn't even happen often.
Yeah no, I played lifeline as her name suggests. People underestimated how effective her ability to heal quickly was in a fight. I'd get hurt. Run and heal at the same time with small heals. 1.4 seconds for health and shields. I've outplayed so many people healing around corners and then popping back out with more health than they thought I would have. Ahh, I was so sad when they changed it😢
Lifeline is also suffering from all this annoying ass SMG controller / Shotgun meta. It feels like 70% of the fights these days are close range and done in 4-5 seconds. No res shield, no good ult affects her if theres no "fight".
Bruh i literally play lifeline with a friend yesterday we got like 4 wins n 2 2nd place just by staying at the tower near containment, the ring just so happens to keep pulling into the poi lol
And yes i tried playing Newcastle first he's pretty gud but i still prefer lifeline since u can almost always guarantee ur team a purple shields, her hitbox is smol n always moving with her feels way smoother, her ult seems to be in ok - gud state but her tactical n passive definitely need a buff , maybe add shield when the drone revive her teammate based on the teammate knockdown shield hp or her own knockdown shield
I remember starting using Lifeline and figuring out how strong and meta she was few days before she got nerfed. Pretty much the same sad story with every other meta stuff in the game lol

she doesn't need a buff, she is what she is at this point. the only thing they could do is rework the ultimate.

If respawn still wanna use the carepackage better to give a big buff,like add some domeshield and will give the effect 25%fast heal and revive,to cover the teammate in open area.Because it's kinda sucks when support can't cover the team with her own ability
Make her revive teammates in the downed state so they could still utilize their knockdown shields.
I hated the hands off green shield rez she used 2 have, but since new castles exists anyways, they should give it back to her to make her relevant again.

As a Lifeline main since S4, I have to say, they just should give us back fast heals. I dont even care about the double revive, let me revive manually again or smth. Me and my duo jut make fun of her since forever, for being thee introduced COMBAT MEDIC just for her to kit to be taken away by 3 DIFFERENT LEGENDS that do what sche does but BETTER.

Just give the care package a green LED and an option to res fallen teammates with it plus give her a big shield with small health like Newcastle or just give her the og res animation with the shield and skip the drone unless it’s her tac. This outright buff would massively make her viable again and would be so fun.
Her revive should re-introduce the shield. Not as long as it was, but enough to stop front forward firing from the enemy trying to get that ez free kill. Also her revives should be slightly quicker then it is now.
A step into the right direction would be to give her a passive similar to gold knock down shield. Gives bonus health and armor to the revived teammates (maybe not as much as golden KO shields)
Give her faster revives back if anything. Still baffled Gibraltar has that in some capacity.
I genuinely believe the Season 9 Shied res was removed because of Arenas, She ended up being pretty good in the Arenas meta and I can imagine she would have been even stronger (and possibly a must pick in Arenas). It really sucks since she had a decent amount of skill expression back on launch and now it's all gone...
My heart died as a lifeline main.That rez shield was crazy. She just needs an ultimate upgrade and make her viable again. I feel bad for my teammates because i always pick her now and they think i'm trolling. It is rough
The problem is that it's very difficult to balance a healer support in a game like apex
I would probably suggest a change that makes her more combat based like making her ult a mobile respawn + her drone can pick up respawn tokens like crypto can or being able to see which direction enemies are shooting from

I started to play Apex 1 week after it came out and have been a Lifeline main for a long time. I eventually couldn't deal with the constant nerfs and reworks and respawn slowly killing her into oblivion so I eventually moved on to Valkyrie. Never looked back.
I'd love for a Lifeline complete rework like Rev had. One can hope. I miss my girl.
yeah her and octane feel so pointless now tbh, I love playing Octane for his stim ability but his pad just seems useless, like if I tried using it, id be beamed out of the sky. Lifeline her abilities all together is useless, like i'd much rather med kit or use small heals than wait on the drone to heal, and the care package never has anything useful for me the only upside to her kit is the ability to revive with just the drone.
Honestly no one misses lifelines broken ass res shield. She’s probably better now than she ever was now that you can continue fighting after a res

Give lifeline +1big med/slot as her passive (gold bag ability), and an instant rez to 1-25 hp that heals 50-100 shields for her ult (depending on HER armor level? or something else like how Newcastle passive depends on knockshield.). Keep her tac the same (pairs perfectly with my proposed ult) and get rid of her old passive rez. Possibly you could bump the power level even more by giving her/team faster healing for limited duration from her ult...or other passive abilities...It's honestly ridiculous how much better all the newer legends are compared to old ones.

It would be cool if they could make a new support character who can fly like valk but can pick u up kinda like fortnite and heal u . I was a lifeline main then they nerfed her to all hell so I just straight up quit the game but now I play the legends that are meta but I’ve lost all my skill sadly

lifeline is never getting the shield back, there is a whole different legend that exists for that purpose

My go to legend was lifeline I have 86,000 kills with her from season 1 up until valkyrie came out then I stopped playing the game because of life n stuff. I recently just got a new Xbox and a new account because I couldn’t access my old one anymore, didn’t really care tbh was just happy to be playing Apex was hella exited to play lifeline until I saw what they did to her I can’t believe they obliterated my girl lmao no fast heals no shield when reviving and a bigger hit box. Still main her but damm they didn’t have to do her like that

May sound ridiculous but a good lifeline is the worst thing to fight this season and that’s because of the double tap. Let’s say your teams gone in killed 2 but both of them died as well. Little lifeline comes along and you have a choice either one usually ending in death. She’s not bad when the right persons using her. (Deffo not me). I want her to go back to her original kit tho because it required more skill and was fun to use against enemies.

Lifeline would be a great contender for a rework, despite her passive being the strongest revive passive, whole kit just doesn't synergize together.
What? Her passive is absolutely not the strongest revive. Newcastle does the job of combat medic better than lifeline. Most of the time you are just shot because there is no shield while being revived by drone.
@@samueldawkins shield always was just a crutch, a noob trap for bad support players, you shouldn't revive in the open to begin with, because even if you safely pull it off, your mate is still 1 shot stationary target. Being able to revive while defending yourself and your target is way stronger than a weak shield that doesn't cover you well. It can be situationally better, but again, reviving in the open is a bad idea no matter who you play as.

The scenario of a teammate going down in the open shows how superior Newcastle is since he can move the teammate to cover while rezing or create cover. Newcastle has a way higher chance to pull off that rez than lifeline.
Lol calling the rez shield a crutch is such a cope. It is better than lifeline in most situations. it is the lifeline passive that is only better under specific situations. The rez shield covers well and is strong on level two and close to OP on level 3 or 4. Lifeline is the noob legend.

The biggest upside of Lifeline revive is it being autonomous. You don't lose your ability to shoot, heal, move or use other abilities. Even if your teammates end up getting downed again, you can just tap them once more, effectively resetting their knockdown health and denying enemy kills.
This is just her passive btw, which doesn't cost anything and has no cooldown.
Shields aren't everything, as most competent players will push the knock and trying to pull a revive off during that essentially puts your team into 1 v 3, which is why Lifeline revives often come in clutch.
The only corner cases where Newcastle revive gets more benifits is if you use teammates as meatshields with revive canceling or when you set up on a good position but one of your teammates got caught in the open.
Newcastle's revive shield is nowhere near as good as old Lifeline's used to be, it doesn't cover you from above at all, meaning any enemy with slight elevation get easy headshots on you while you're essentially crouching.
While Mirage and Newcastle have strong revive utility, Lifeline's is still the best.

The top players are going to choose castle over lifeline. I've noticed this change in ranked specifically over the last 3 seasons. I watch or play ranked and Newcastle in played in the top tiers way more than lifeline.
I will take Newcastle on my team over lifeline everytime and you assessment of how easy it is to shoot behind the rez shield isn't accurate from experience and that situation doesn't even happen often.

Yeah no, I played lifeline as her name suggests. People underestimated how effective her ability to heal quickly was in a fight. I'd get hurt. Run and heal at the same time with small heals. 1.4 seconds for health and shields. I've outplayed so many people healing around corners and then popping back out with more health than they thought I would have. Ahh, I was so sad when they changed it😢
Lifeline is also suffering from all this annoying ass SMG controller / Shotgun meta. It feels like 70% of the fights these days are close range and done in 4-5 seconds. No res shield, no good ult affects her if theres no "fight".

Bruh i literally play lifeline with a friend yesterday we got like 4 wins n 2 2nd place just by staying at the tower near containment, the ring just so happens to keep pulling into the poi lol
And yes i tried playing Newcastle first he's pretty gud but i still prefer lifeline since u can almost always guarantee ur team a purple shields, her hitbox is smol n always moving with her feels way smoother, her ult seems to be in ok - gud state but her tactical n passive definitely need a buff , maybe add shield when the drone revive her teammate based on the teammate knockdown shield hp or her own knockdown shield
