The one problem I have with Apex is how beginner aggressive it is its so hard for someone to start when the lobbies they are in see pred badges after their first 10 games
I'd say the biggest issue would be movement for the new players if they are used to shooters they could be okay with aim rigjt away they'd just have issues with like you said the preds and them breaking their necks
@OffDeGanja I'd argue the bigger issue is how clunky movement is. Like I am an absolute god at movement on Warframe, which has very fluid movement mechanics. Apex is just...so unpolished compared to that.
Well, most of that badges are fake pred, from a certain season with busted ranked system when it used to be easier to get, or not even a ranked badge, but the "Apex predator" one, which is like to win being a kill leader or smth. Anyway, you shouldn't be afraid of badges and kills to some degree, the only thing they prove is playtime, and everyone learns the game at different pace. Your enemies are averaged by kd ratio and some other stats, so if you see a pred player that means your team has the same average stats as their team. And I would say Apex is not as beginner friendly as pubg mobile with bots in every other match, but still good enough, more friendly than fortnite couple years ago for sure
@@Movienut1992I've also got my hours on warframe (350+hrs) and around 750+hrs on Apex, and I've gotta say that is somewhat true and not at the same time. Apex has really good and rewarding movement, but comparing it to Warframe saying it is unpolished is kind of pointless imo. Apex was never intended to have such movement since most of the movement tech is based on exploits people found on the game code (somewhere along these lines, idk I'm not a computer guy). It was later on that the people and the devs came to accept these movement exploits as part of the game, as seen in the most recen season trailer where they even use some movement tech. Warframe on the other side was designed to have such smooth movement from the beggining. It is a fact that if you want to become a smooth movement player in Apex, you will have to put in much more hours practicing those clunky ass game exploits, than in Warframe. Saying this as an Apex player that knows a lot of movement techs and can even hit 50% superglides at 144 fps, Apex movement feels more rewarding for the effort you put in just to style on other players. Personal opinion tho.
@@Movienut1992 The movement in Apex is fuckin amazing compared to any other game I have ever played I would be surprised if warframe has smoother movement.

I think the worst part about the time sink aspect of Apex is that most of these badges and accolades do not encourage healthy play. They encourage addiction, poor player skill, bad habits, lack of skill expression, and impulsive purchases. All this in an attempt to corner the markets of attention span, the amount of time you have to play, and squeezing blood from the stones of the globally receding economy. Most players are not like me, in the aspect that I do not care about battle passes or skins at all, unless they give me an advantage. Many companies will just drive gaming into some kind of an addition, gambling and murdering the passion of good developers in order to get more greedy and less freedom from creativity It's just a philosophy of gaming but we are stepping closer to the dark age of this human world
That's the problem with ranked systems I guess, I love the concept of being placed to my true rank quickly, like provisional matches in valorant and this Apex season, but the latter is messed up and preds are placed to silver, so everyone wants to prove themselves that system was wrong and they deserve more
Dude for real. I played with two kids today in diamond that literally dropped alone and hid the whole game. I was talking shit the whole time lmao. So stupid. Ya u can get into masters by doing that but your skill doesn’t even back it up lol. Just goes to show how broken ranked is
I agree with you but matchmaking in ranked is so broken right now you can be an honest silver/gold player I’m still be in a match with ACTUAL masters/press/pros
@@nickcohen7748the fact that if I see a master I assume they are trash is crazy most masters on my team are playing like a fly that got sprayed with fly spray and are playing on a Nintendo switch without aa and then the enemy masters will be getting half of the teams dead before the first circle
I think the Weapon Mastery system could have been really cool if there were any actual rewards for the guns. I'd obviously change a few of the more ridiculous challenges also. I also think the heirloom system is the dumbest thing possible. The amount of people who have never even gotten heirloom shards for years is insane. Meanwhile someone stopping in for a day might get it randomly from pure RNG. Something that's considered the most valuable items in the game shouldn't be based on pure RNG or spending wads of cash.
FPS shooters are at the point of not being beginner friendly because shooters have been out for 25+ years. Multiple generations of gamers making it more and more difficult
Get good. Back in my day, you didn't have anyone holding your hand and tutorials/guides weren't available. You had to actually use your brain and improve through effort. Stop babying everyone.
Most of these grinds seem fine to me because they're not p2w not required to have fun, they're achievements done by very dedicated players. Some of those are unhealthy amounts, and the players should consider doing something different, but I prefer these being available to not being available. I won't be going for almost any of these, but I like seeing other players have them. I suppose the achievements in singular seasons are a little over the top. The one true negative I see is the ranked system. Having players set their "true" rank and getting games fit for their level seems a pretty basic requirement of fairness, and it sucks that it's not there.
I agree but to a point. While some grinds are insane and while it's obvious they are done to exploit human nature and getting them sweet dollars at the end, I'd like to point out that you can't really compare Apex to WoW or other MMORPG. In WoW and other games the grind is directly chained to your power progression. You NEED to grind in order to be more powerful and beat different aspects of the game. The grind is "built in", it's part of the core system. In a game like Apex, you have grinding features but you DO NOT NEED them in order to play the game to the fullest. As you pointed out, once you realized it was "pointless" to grind for weapon masteries you stopped doing it. In a game like WoW you can't really stop grinding for gear and levels or you won't be playing the game. It's a relevant difference. Matter of fact, I have not spent one single [insert relevant currency here] on Apex and I've been playing since week 1. I don't care about ranked badges, nor weap masteries, nor heirlooms nor expensive skins or whatever they want me to grind for. I just log in with friends, shoot people, have fun. In WoW i'd be bound to grind in order to access the endgame and even then I'd be grinding for more powerful items. In Apex, if you just installed your basic skin R99 still have the same stats of some predator who plays 10h a day with all the fancy skins. It's a grind for vanity, not a grind for power and thus, completely irrelevant once you realize it doesn't matter.
The weapon mastery is perfect how it is. It has no actual gameplay advantage, so I feel it’s ok for it to be a grind. But I would like some better rewards….
Im a new Apex player, and I've been loving the game after switching from Warzone about 2 months ago. But this game DEFINITELY is not to friendly when it comes to new players 😂 unless you have 10hrs a day to play and a shit ton of money to spend on in game items that you want.
The sad truth about life is the very thing people enjoy, they also trash verbally. Instead of obsessing over negatives, take a step back and learn to appreciate the things you and we love.
i remember when i was grinding for platinum badge season 18 i was on edge i cant tell how many times i cried sitting infront of my console 2 days without sleeping grinding out of gold then getting matched with bronze losing points after points then i had to gring out of silver just to get to the gold again at this point what the hell was i doing with my life ive played this game for years ive gained new skill im on lvel 370 green badge but i feel like a rookie or a bot all the time its like the game intentionally recognises effort and steps on it
Nothing more annoying than a game actively trying to make you play it. Not stay because there is fun stuff to do but try to manipulate you to continue. I easily clocked 1.5k hours in monster hunter world because I just enjoy it. There are other games who can't come close to that for me at times because they offer nothing but a grind.
I have almost 500 hours in the game and i am still missing 6 characters since im a complete f2p currently still, it takes like 20 to 30 hours to get a single character if not more o3o
30 hours ain't bad bruh that's just 2hrs a day for 2 weeks give or take. At that rate you can unlock around 5 legends a season which is ridiculous. It's not even a chore because legend tokens are earned by passively leveling up as you play, you don't even have to try just play the game and your xp builds.
This in addition to dropping into lobbies with 2 scrubs on my team while I see triple master and pred trails even though I only play the game once a month is why I uninstalled it.
Another great video OTTR! You are on a W streak! My honest feeling - The players has become the cheap labor for intangible virtual badges which will all be taken away when the game shut down (Apex Mobile grinder..sorry)
I don't really mind the time consuming features like the weapon mastery, leveling up and those other things except for rank cause I'm just having fun playing the game and those time consuming features are just little surprises for me
No one is going to even get the weapon mastery. Probably .0001 percent of players will shave that eventually. The games probably gonna die before people even finish that grind. Idk just seems like too much to me
I was never in danger of reaching Predator, or any other high ranks, LOL. However, I figured out that Apex is a really hard game to ever just enjoy. You kind of have to be going full sweat to have any fun in Apex and sometimes that isn't what I'm looking for.
I'd say it's true for any PvP shooter right now, or at least any BR. I learned to find joy (since pubg) in landing hot in no fill duos and doing kills and damage, or even in outperforming myself in firing range. Because if you just won a game with barely a kill - you have little fun and you want more, you don't think that victory was deserved. And when you had a good fight with a team and lost but almost killed them - you don't blame yourself, but appreciate good opponents and the things you did right in that fight. Like, you never learn winning, but you can only learn if you lose, and if you want to improve then you'll learn to have fun even when losing. I find fun in improving AND loving the process, and it not only applies in games for me.
@Giff74 like remember early live and multiplayer games like Medal of Honor? Shit was chill af. Now it's all dominated by players who no-life or stream it, and every complaint they make makes the game worse for casuals.
The problem with hot dripping is loot RNG. The new ranked system promotes rating but the final circles have 5-10 squads left and gives you a hot drop style fight without so much RNG on loot. So, I think it’s the right direction they just need to softly force fights sooner. Basically, try and make the game shorter. Maybe reduce the number of circles or make them faster. The damage buff they had not long ago was annoying so I think the speed of ring closures in the early game should maybe be tweaked? I basically like the end games now a lot better so it’s the beginning that needs a work imo
Faster circles wouldnt mean much when everyone just has an evac tower now. No one wants to fight early now because getting points for kills are literally bugged. When I progressed though silver I would regularly not get points for my kills.I know you dont get points for kills if the opponent is a lower rank than you, but if I get six kills as a silver and get nothing for it, something is wrong. You are rewarded for surviving now, not fighting.
I think that instead of setting goals for yourself based on the parameters and time limits the game provides, set goals internally and personally. In my opinion, no badge or rank is worth more than your own growth and improvement as a player. That’s where I get the most enjoyment from the game, when I can see myself improving, not the LP bar going up while I sit and hide in a corner for 6 hours straight.
Sadly 80% of this game's population does not think like that, especially with current ranked. I had a Valk in 1 out every 5 match who will drop solo and keep hiding at edges while using ult to relocate.
This. Enjoy it. Enjoy the learning process. Enjoy your own personal fun goals. The game is a BLAST even if you aren't good. Comparing your progress to others or setting rank or KD goals just undermines the fun that Apex is. Progress is earned in everything in life.
Last few seasons this game has gone from a fun way to kill some time to what feels like chores I'm forced to do. I've barely touched S17 because the idea of weapon masteries and yet another battlepass is really unappealing to me. Just let me use the legends I enjoy and stop trying to make me play ones I never touch.
Apex promotes awful teamwork habits and teaches players to be terrible teammates. It has to be one of the most antisocial FPS games I've ever played. The game is fun at its core, but you're right it's all about grinding in whatever way YOU want to play without consideration for your team.
Idk I think the reason I play ranked is not hit pred but to play the best and see if I can beat them but as of late doing that feels like shit when you have to 1v3 every battle. People see that your in a middle of fight and instead of finishing off the last one they decided mid battle to run away and die alone. I hate LP everytime hear someone say it in game chat ik we’re not gonna fight no one. Which is the whole reason I even want to play the game.
I understand that it’s a problem if everything is ridiculously difficult to get in a game, but those challenges need to be there for the dedicated player base. Imo the big problem is that most of these challenges are time based and not skill based. Rather than being locked behind 1000 hrs worth of skill and experience they’re locked behind 500 hours of mindless grinding with legends and play styles you hate, rather than giving you extensive skill based progression for each gun/legend they force you to play everything including the things you hate. Nobody likes campers, but at some point if you want to do all your challenges you are forced to play legends like caustic, wattson, catalyst etc. The problem is that these challenges are basically time based grind quotas that require you to completely change your playstyle in unfun ways just to keep to that grind quota.
It's ridiculous even for a dedicated player, simply because it's unfun. Respawn obviously doesn't care about dedicated players anymore based on the stupid easy ranked system.
The “dedicated player base” is never finishing the weapon mastery challenge. 3000 hours is literally a 1/3 of a year of gameplay. 125 days. It’s too much for 99.999999% of the player base. Even pros aren’t going to get it done
@@nickcohen7748 Firstly, in total, I have roughly 3k hours played, secondly on my friends list at least that's on the low side. The time commitment is still ridiculous, but there will be people who do it. I think most people only care about 4-5 weapons anyway and if you look at it that way it's not too bad. The bigger problem for someone who actually wants to do all the weapons is that it's going to be the most frustrating, least fun grind imaginable. 3k hours on a game that is supposedly going to be around for 15+ years isn't too terrible, but it's not 3k hours playing like you would normally, the vast majority of that is going to spent on guns you hate. Regardless I don't think it would be a full 3k hours, if I had to guess it's probably more like 1-2k.
@@shalindelta7 It being unfun for the dedicated playerbase means nothing because 90% of the time the game is unfun for us anyway. The reality is that the vast majority of the people who were here at launch have left because respawn doesn't care about the dedicated playerbase with their game design decisions starting in season 2. I know I hardly play anymore, 2/3s of my playtime are from year 1 the last 1k hours is over 3 years of playing on and off with friends. Regardless, point is, what's left of the dedicated playerbase isn't having a good time most of the time anyway. There will be people who grind all of it out, most people only care about the few guns they actually use and will max those out in a couple months. The entire point of progression like this is exclusivity, if everyone can do it there's no point to it anymore.
tbh s17 actually gave me the opportunity to take a break from Apex and try out other games out there. I didnt realize that there are games that are so much more fun, satisfying and relaxing.. Apex is really not fun.. Most of Apex is sweating, annoying, frustrating, disappointing and leaves you with an unsatisfactory experience. This is not a fun or fair game anymore. Apex just shows you a glimpse of fun now and then and swiftly takes it away from you deliberately so u grind to get that fun part again but most of the time its just frustration.
ive been playing apex for 2 years and have just passed level 400. if i want that free heirloom im gonna have to play for 10 years. thats without taking the increased xp requirement each prestige
Apex is such a money grab... I've bot season passes to support since s1 . Ive never buy skins they're outrageous prices are a joke. Ive never have had a heirloom drop in 17 seasons! prestige skins haha 160$ lmao never. How much money have they lost being so greedy & over priced. At 10 buck a skin they would have made millions and kept the community happy 😂 instead they make nothing and raises cost to sell less ❤ what a joke of a company. The games years old now and still the prices are a joke?
I was going to buy myself and my son the battle pass, but I asked him before I bought it. He was like, "why bother, we never hit 100 and what you get isn't that good. I just enjoy playing the game." So, no money wasted by me on it.
back on titanfall getting skins, doing challenges, leveling up didnt feel as time consumingly painful even tho it would proably take equally as long if not harder to get everything to gen 100 since you need to use some level of skill. is this a sign that ea has gotten greedy again or is respawn getting out of touch with its playerbase, if respawn is out of touch did management change or something? they learned their mistakes from titanfall 1 (from what ive heard since ive never played it) going into titanfall 2 but it sounds like they regressing and making the same mistakes
I don't get why people use things like badges as an example of why the grind is bad for casual players... It's only a small point but like... You do realize you are talking about CASUAL players right? Casual players aren't going to be grinding comp or and I can't believe I'm saying this but badges of all things... If you want to talk about time investment for casuals then ACTUALLY talk about what a casual player would go for which would be cosmetics... Cosmetics which in apex aren't typically locked behind grind as much as they are money. The weapon mastery is something that i feel falls in a grey line between the two tho so i definitely feel it can be toned down.
Man I remember when arenas was still around and I had gotten into apex around s11 I think? I was really confident in my skills and tried ranked arenas and I was doing really good, about to hit gold and then the split came in amd saw my rank went back to bronze and that killed all my motivation to play ranked:(
unlocking legends is also a pain. i play league of legends where theres over 200 characters, and i was able to unlock all of them in a year. i have played apex for about 80 hours according to steam now and i have unlocked... 3 characters. realistically the characters shouldnt evevn be behind a currency system. at most maybe a progression system where you will have the whole roster unlocked by the time your account can play ranked.
wouldn't be much of a problem if it didnt't extend to the legends. badges are just to show them off and grinding rank itself is stupid because ranks are meant for balance not flex, but locking legends behind grindwall is just unfair and unbalanced. it shouldn't be a thing
The ranked split honestly sucks. As someone who’s decent at the game, but isn’t a streamer or have a ton of time to play I feel like it punishes me most. It takes forever to get to platinum only playing an hour or two 1-3 times a week only to get sent back with the split
Season 13 ranked was peek apex the game has fallen into despair since also please do a vid on recoil scripts on console aka Cronus zen xim because I’m desperate to know the percentage of players cheating at this point
THATS BECAUSE ITS A COMPETITIVE GAME. Just like a sport, instrument, or whatever skill, it takes tons of time to practice and improve. It’s an incredibly hard game. If you want to play a low time casual game, then play something else. Just because more games are doing this doesnt mean all of them are- esports and competitive hard complex games are still a relatively new thing, and guess what? They do well because a lot of people enjoy the grind. The apex predator rank isnt a ‘cool badge’ like an xbox achievement you can get in 10 hours because then people wouldnt care about it. Its the same with LoL. Its not meant as a casual game. And if you dont want that, thats okay, but it doesnt mean its wrong for companies to make it.
Admittedly as much as I love Apex, the new ranked system is honestly garbage. Literal bronze players sitting in diamond and above making solo queue even more harsh than before. I'm plat 1 at best but I at least I knew I earned it previous seasons. This season just doesn't feel worth it. As for the weapon mastery system, it's just not worth it for me. All that grinding for skins you can just craft, and a mere banner. Honestly CoD does the weapon mastery 1000 times better because there's actually something worthwhile to work towards for the weapons.
I've started playing apex month ago, Im at 200 hours already and got to play without camping to top 10. Ive aldo already realized that putting a ton of time into the game is uselesss. Ranked is not fun because the team wants to camp till top 10. Pubs arent fun because there are preds and master players in my pub games and I legit get like 1 good gane out of 10. 😊
Mid-season pushbacks were the most idiotic thing I've seen in any game. Why the hell would anyone bother playing just so the game can say "Nice, but your time was a waste - do it again." Simply idiotic.
cod grinds are reasonable not too time consuming but i quit grinding in apex a year ago bc the same thing u just said, takes wayyyyy too much time to get something semi cool in that game, i love the gameplay in apex but just not the ranked system and the way u have to earn things
Ok I don’t like apex anymore and don’t agree with 99% of what respawn does with the game however I don’t necessarily think these time investment mechanics are bad. Some people want to play that much and for the people who do they should still be earning new things and unlocking new things. There needs to be a strong mix between small time investment rewards and large time investment rewards. Not advocating for the ranked system tho I think it sucks.
I havent been playing this game that long, but I can already see it has deeper problems than too much grinding for badges and cosmetics that have no affect on gameplay. Its the most unfair game Ive played so far.
The mastery system is ok, would be super cool with unique skins for level 100 but its EA so my expectations are below 0 at this point. BUT DONT UNDERSTAND why they made it so that only holding the gun gives you so much XP, just make getting kills more rewarding pls :)
I don’t even wanna play ranked anymore there’s literally no point doesn’t matter how many kills or assists that I get I don’t get any points for elims. What is the point of fighting through a whole game and masters/peed lobbies just to ONLY get placement points 🤬
i want the wraith heirloom but i might as well just work and use the money from my job to buy it. let’s be honest that’s easier than grinding to get it for free..
ngl the ranked in apex is so boring and non skilled that I dont play it. Making a ranked sytem that encourages just being a rat and not doing anything is a broken system.
Can we talk about rank because I don’t get points for kills idk way Every game make 3-5 kills and place 6 or stuff like that 80lp but non points for kills
When a game like this is introduced the player population is bound to get better. New kids hate halo for a reason. You honestly can’t solve it. Why do you think for note no builds was introduce? Kids can’t hang under pressure
Lol I’m not Chaplin on the bud but if you think that apex has a gate kept from experiencing the game, then look at rainbow six siege. You have to learn almost 100 operators, their gadgets, how to use em, the maps, the angles, audio queues, etc… I feel like apex is fairly simple compared to games of siege’s caliber, or like tarkov.
This is shown with the new ranked and weapon mastery but a quick rework on both would help. Make damage and kills worth a fair amount more that just holding the weapon. In ranked balance kills and placement points. Still thing OW2 game philosophy is worse and it did show.
Too bad you can’t merge your accounts cross platform. I have way more on pc, but I started out on ps4 pre season 1 through season 4 I think so I don’t have any of my skins, battle pass rewards, or badges from that time

It's just a philosophy of gaming but we are stepping closer to the dark age of this human world
I'll never understand crappy players hiding to gain better ranks. You just get put into better lobbies that will dump on you
That's the problem with ranked systems I guess, I love the concept of being placed to my true rank quickly, like provisional matches in valorant and this Apex season, but the latter is messed up and preds are placed to silver, so everyone wants to prove themselves that system was wrong and they deserve more
Dude for real.
Fr. I’m a week one player, haven’t ever gotten the scent of an heirloom yet 😭😭

Lmao yeah fr I agree even with like 2800 hrs I still be geting dunked on
@@fb0307idk my play time but I'm level 800 getting shat on on occasion still :/
FPS shooters are at the point of not being beginner friendly because shooters have been out for 25+ years. Multiple generations of gamers making it more and more difficult
Get good. Back in my day, you didn't have anyone holding your hand and tutorials/guides weren't available. You had to actually use your brain and improve through effort. Stop babying everyone.
I got into it pretty quick
I want better rewards as well. Legend mastery would be nice as well
Im a new Apex player, and I've been loving the game after switching from Warzone about 2 months ago.
I think the game was designed for you to lose so you'll be like " oh I can do better next time" and you just keep trying...
i remember when i was grinding for platinum badge season 18 i was on edge i cant tell how many times i cried sitting infront of my console 2 days without sleeping grinding out of gold then getting matched with bronze losing points after points then i had to gring out of silver just to get to the gold again at this point what the hell was i doing with my life ive played this game for years ive gained new skill im on lvel 370 green badge but i feel like a rookie or a bot all the time its like the game intentionally recognises effort and steps on it
Nothing more annoying than a game actively trying to make you play it.
Also 500 hrs in a single player game may be an achievement but in a MP game it's nothing.
This in addition to dropping into lobbies with 2 scrubs on my team while I see triple master and pred trails even though I only play the game once a month is why I uninstalled it.
Another great video OTTR! You are on a W streak!
My honest feeling - The players has become the cheap labor for intangible virtual badges which will all be taken away when the game shut down (Apex Mobile grinder..sorry)
bro the slinky clip😭😭 youre the man. very quality upload as usual
That's every competitive game anymore. The introduction of esports and streamers has ruined it.
@@Movienut1992 you aren’t wrong unfortunately…
@giff74 you can reach diamond with your eyes closed this season.
They did that and games seem to play better now
I think that instead of setting goals for yourself based on the parameters and time limits the game provides, set goals internally and personally.
Weapon trials need to be kills you do with the weapons the challenges are too complicated and hard … and boring
My teammates r just shitheads that ratted their way up to diamond lmao. So whenever we fight they absolutely suck. Id argue that’s even worse imo
I have yet to open the weapon mastery details. My caring is so little I never plan to look into it.
tbh s17 actually gave me the opportunity to take a break from Apex and try out other games out there.
Yup, it's free but unattainable at the same time lmao. Classic EA.
Never cared about the battle pass or the medals. Never spent any money in Apex either.
Apex is amazing fun without spending any money at all.
I was going to buy myself and my son the battle pass, but I asked him before I bought it. He was like, "why bother, we never hit 100 and what you get isn't that good. I just enjoy playing the game." So, no money wasted by me on it.
smart kid
back on titanfall getting skins, doing challenges, leveling up didnt feel as time consumingly painful even tho it would proably take equally as long if not harder to get everything to gen 100 since you need to use some level of skill. is this a sign that ea has gotten greedy again or is respawn getting out of touch with its playerbase, if respawn is out of touch did management change or something? they learned their mistakes from titanfall 1 (from what ive heard since ive never played it) going into titanfall 2 but it sounds like they regressing and making the same mistakes
Na the biggest problem is it is in no way beginner friendly
Man I remember when arenas was still around and I had gotten into apex around s11 I think? I was really confident in my skills and tried ranked arenas and I was doing really good, about to hit gold and then the split came in amd saw my rank went back to bronze and that killed all my motivation to play ranked:(
Yeh I've literally stopped trying to do anything. I just play to kill time and keep my brain active.
for game that love making you grind for time waster badges. they sure never thought of increasing the badges slots from 3 to 9
Or better yet, how about add a number to show the amount of times it was obtained. Like a 4k badge to how many times you got it.
I mean the grind in apex for me is the thing that i love the most
Kinda want season exclusive badges like season 1 but still make them very rare
unlocking legends is also a pain. i play league of legends where theres over 200 characters, and i was able to unlock all of them in a year. i have played apex for about 80 hours according to steam now and i have unlocked...
I agree with this, but if you going to address this problem we also need a solution. How can you make challenges worth it if they don’t take time.
Good thing there isn't a single cosmetic in Apex that interests me. I can just ignore all the grind BS.
Second week player I remember playing every legend when some were legit awful to try and get those stupid badges in season 1.
Season 13 ranked was peek apex the game has fallen into despair since also please do a vid on recoil scripts on console aka Cronus zen xim because I’m desperate to know the percentage of players cheating at this point
I still think rocket league has one of the highest mechanical ceilings making it the most time consuming
how many hours do u have on apex?
Honestly CoD does the weapon mastery 1000 times better because there's actually something worthwhile to work towards for the weapons.
i only play ranked because people rarely quit when downed because of the 10min ban. wish they kept it pubs.
I’ve been playing for a year. And I’m level 370. Preds play 12 hours a day religiously. It’s ridiculous
Mid-season pushbacks were the most idiotic thing I've seen in any game. Why the hell would anyone bother playing just so the game can say "Nice, but your time was a waste - do it again." Simply idiotic.
Simple. Just don’t worry about badges. Just chill and have fun. At the end of the day it’s just a game and badges don’t prove anything
cod grinds are reasonable not too time consuming but i quit grinding in apex a year ago bc the same thing u just said, takes wayyyyy too much time to get something semi cool in that game, i love the gameplay in apex but just not the ranked system and the way u have to earn things
The sad truth is that my ps4 can’t even connect to the internet without me disconnecting every match.
Honestly, if Apex didn't have unlockable conent and a cool class system, I would still only play RPGs
4:20 Sicko mode 💀
Honestly if you started late this season, I think it would be damn impressive if you hit Predator.
Well yea ofcourse, but the fact that you can still hit master if you start in the last week or 2 is retarded.
the demand to get some of this badges is just ridiculous !
Time based challenges for badges or non op skins is ok to me just p2w features in money or insane hours is bad.
ngl the ranked in apex is so boring and non skilled that I dont play it.
Making a ranked sytem that encourages just being a rat and not doing anything is a broken system.
I just want the wrench for the girl with the big gun that go brrrrr 😔
this game will train You to genuinely be a master at aiming after 3 months of aim training
Can we talk about rank because I don’t get points for kills idk way
Every game make 3-5 kills and place 6 or stuff like that 80lp but non points for kills
i got to level 3 in the Glory Seeker badge but I Lost track of my progress so I couldn't go higher
They want it to take long do achieve something in this game cause if it was quick no one would continue to grind and quit.
3 years of playing apex, STIIL NO HEIRLOOM
When a game like this is introduced the player population is bound to get better. New kids hate halo for a reason. You honestly can’t solve it. Why do you think for note no builds was introduce? Kids can’t hang under pressure
Lol I’m not Chaplin on the bud but if you think that apex has a gate kept from experiencing the game, then look at rainbow six siege. You have to learn almost 100 operators, their gadgets, how to use em, the maps, the angles, audio queues, etc… I feel like apex is fairly simple compared to games of siege’s caliber, or like tarkov.
This is what summer break is for
This is shown with the new ranked and weapon mastery but a quick rework on both would help. Make damage and kills worth a fair amount more that just holding the weapon. In ranked balance kills and placement points. Still thing OW2 game philosophy is worse and it did show.
Not even mentioning the fact it takes over 600 hours just to unlock all the legends 💀 (I have 640 hours and I’m still missing rampart and vantage)
Too bad you can’t merge your accounts cross platform. I have way more on pc, but I started out on ps4 pre season 1 through season 4 I think so I don’t have any of my skins, battle pass rewards, or badges from that time
This is why Mathematics is important
So people don't simply guess, inadvertently creating challenges that are practically impossible
All the way back to 2019 🥺
You think apex is grindy? Try ark. Then try playing them both and titanfall all at the same time.
To be honest, if you played games like Titanfall, before this, you would be more comfortable with the gameplay
My biggest problem with Apex is the TTK, 3 mags in just to kill one person.
Not it doesn't. Yes mag sizes are small, but long ttk creates a decent skill gap
@@m13848 oh really, with your 'decent skill gap' wishing u good luck being chased by a 3 stack across the map in ranked after your teammates did smth stupid and died

Tbh the entire heirloom system is trash. It's an often mediocre melee cosmetic, like few of them are actually interesting enough for the price tag they have for them. Now the new skins, I'll admit those are pretty nice, but just another time dump. Pretty sure they just do this to keep people from walking away.
I want legend mastery as well, and unique skins for the weapons and legends you max ☺️
Lmaooo did you even watch the video? 💀
You know who runs this game right? Best case scenario, legend progression gives a badge.
@@C1TheLegendary Its really sad. Games these days just want you to grind for eternity but God forbid they actually reward you anything good for it. Cosmetics only really show who has either the biggest wallet or the worst prioritization skills
Character cosmetics are cool, badges are a waste of time, just don't grind them and maybe they will change them.
Great video! Time really is our biggest enemy! I play 10+ hours a day sometimes and I still know I have a lot to learn. Question is, will I be able to learn it before Apex dies? haha
so in other words its all a bunch of stuff for the pro players and not the casuals again. im getting extremely bored with apex because everyone is so much sweatier then me. its not even that satisfying of a game to play. im kinda sad iv played it as long as i have and it seems like iv accomplished nothing.
Season 4 was the last season ranked was actually worth anything
I come from a background of destiny 2, grinding is pretty much a hobby
Well they could set the bar really low, we earn everything in a short span of time & have nothing to play for until the next season. This generation of gamers is the worst man. Grinding is just a part of gaming guys.
