Big Driver and big shell wasted when you think of the shy bass.. what's even the point or over egineering the thing if you wont use it's massive driver. Makes no sense.
Hi, odd question to ask here but where do can I see you EQ settings for different IEMs? I saw your settings for Tangzu Wan'er on a reddit comment but I want to know where or what video/site did they get it from. Your also the reason why I bought them
After Hisenior shipped me a balanced Manta cable I can say that it's going to take a lot for these IEMs to impress me or make me move away from the Mega5EST Bass+. I would love an AKM equipped DAP to complement them...we'll see what the new year brings to the table...
By "smooth," I mean how the sound flows naturally without any harshness or sharp peaks, especially in the treble. The heavy notes on the Meteor don’t sound thin and they’ve got a nice sense of body. That said, it’s a bit less compared to IEMs with stronger bass.
I like your assessment of IEMs, but the Meteor has put reviewers in two camps. One has bass and the other doesn't have bass, so I don't know whats going with this IEM.
Yeah i agree, what's the point of using a massive driver if you won't utilise it?🤔 I bet these will sound fantastic if they added a bit more warmth to it
I think they sound pretty different. The Meteor has way less bass, better (and not thin) vocals, and smoother treble, but the overall sound is totally different. They have a similar driver setup and price, so you could call it a "Variations 2" in that sense, but in my opinion, the Meteor isn’t a replacement for the Variations, it’s just tuned differently.
Got to try them out today at the hangout, gotta say they didn't weigh as much as I thought they would and were quite comfortable to wear. Didn't really have any problems with the bass but that's probably just personal preference and I absolutely loved the smoothness.
Glad I waited for more reviews before pulling the trigger definetly not my type of tuning. Thanks for the review.

after I fell down the IEM rabbit hole I soon realized how flooded the market was i stoped making the IEM makers rich. same for the DAP market.
I always eq for more bass so I'll try this set soon. Great review!
Damn, this Meteor got slammed.
😂
i am sure this 2025 will be about implementing these micro planars for treble. Good review axel.
how would you compare it vs the cantor? especially the treble
So! for $500....Sounds like I should stay on my homebrews.
Expected a bit more bass, like a variations successor. But it seems like a different beast altogether.
are you going to be doing reviews for the Questyle M18i and iBasso Nunchaku?
Yes.

Nice review. Bass is easy to eq, if the treble is good the bass can be fixed.

kefine klean or truthear zero red which is best for gaming and content consume like movie anime and music
Does Smooth mean heavy notes füll sounding ?

Typical Moondrop… no bass, thin mid bass
Funnily enough, the Variations - which the Meteor is supposed to replace - has huge bass boost
@ they do have some sub bass, but the mid bass tuck makes it sound thin and not have body
@@shaunbrady15 don't know about you but it had a lot of impact as far as I remember.

I heard it's "Variations 2.0". Would that be a fitting description?
very different tuning
More neutral tuning, but similar bass lacking attack and great highs for it's time.

@@Gizaudio do you think that meteor outperforms the variations in terms of technicalities? cuz variations is almost 4 years and price is similar
@@moraye5056 In my opinion, it doesn’t beat the Variations when it comes to technical performance. Pretty similar.

This is good for Classical and Opera but for me based on the review this would have been great at 200 dollar range
I don't get these tunings... Are these for people who only like treble and nothing else? 🤦🏻

Bass could have been better
