Some of the other marucci bats in early Bbcor (Black, Black 2, elite) were awesome. Personally thought they were way better than some of the cats. You need to find some and try them out! I still the OG black and it’s still pretty hot after 5+ seasons.

First AB hitting with the black I was in 8th grade playing in a high school league I hit a bomb. Completely shocked me how much pop it had for a bbcor.

I currently have a cat 7, I really like but I swung my teammates cat 9 2 peice and I could definitely tell I got a lot more distance with it

I have a cat 8 connect 31” it’s AMAZING the sweet spot is MASSIVE if you get ahold of the ball you can go deep relatively easy. It’s also surprisingly pretty light.
Dude marucci has kept the same exact design with minor MINOR variations of swing weight. The only difference has been the ringless restrictor which honestly is not a big difference. The main difference is a few grams of swing weight because they've done different shapes for their restrictors
I saw a kid using a cat 9 32" and he wanted a 33". I told him to get an older Cat and he actually thinks it's better but it's the same thing
Marucci didn't have a metal bat before so they bought a company called Albin Athletics, who pioneered the vibration dampening system in the knobs. If you use an old Albin Athletics besr bat, you can see the traits of a Marucci Cat 5 in there
Cat 5 was HOT my senior year in 15-16' one of the best bats on the market at the time. Along with the 5150 🤘🏻
The Cat 6 model bats will sell out everywhere pretty soon.
I love these videos and I just made a good purchase on a bat and I finally got the cat 9 connect and I love it so much. I think you should definitely make a vid with the F5 my buddy just bought one and I kinda like it but it’s a little weird to me but keep up the amazing work dude I love the vids

My son had swung CATs exclusively (with one little flirt for the String King) and loved them. The only bat that got him to switch was the VooDoo One we got him for Christmas. He needed to size up, but that was the only reason.

Before this spring I had a one piece cat 8, and for the spring I got a cat 9 connect and I almost instantly saw the difference in power and I also had a .420 batting average
Swung my old faithful cat 7 this year and batted .700 with .850 obp. Love that bat.
I’ve been using a cat6 for my last 2 seasons, got it for 50$, and I am not a hard hitter, I’m more of a guy who can get on base alot, but it was definitely able to help get my hits through the infield more than my old bats were.

The cat 7 is my current BBCOR, and I got it for around $40 lightly used.
now i feel robbed, i got the cat 7 like 1-2 years ago for $219
I gotta say, the Cat8 with that Yellow is my favorite if it performs the same. It's color is fire!
U guys should try the knob cuff. We rewrap Every bat except the missile 2. Then we put a knob cuff on and both my boys love that feel. They r both swinging a missile 2 and neither has felt the need to change anything. They need to pen it up a touch more to almost met the edge of the knob but not quite.
the F5 is definitely a sleeper. I bought the black and blue one for my son 2 years ago. And i use it now for kids struggling. usssa 29 drop 10.

I have a white Cat 7 for hitting in the backyard. Picked it up for $100 off ebay new in wrapper and for the money and what I'm using it for I'm happy with it.

I picked up a cat 9 connect after one of your reviews, that thing hits absolute nukes. EV’s are crazy and it’s suprisingly easy to get through the zone! I hit .436 with it this season!

With the rounded knobs of the demarini the knob cuffs work perfect
Oklahoma sonner have the brand new unreleased CAT X. They used them in the regional one piece and connect and the ball was jumping off the bat.
I swing the cat8 and man it won't hit as many homers as some of the other CAT bats but it'll keep that batting average up. Huge sweet spot which will really help you push through those jam shots and turn them into hits

I have 2 cat 6 and a cat 8 and I went back to my cat 6 because it felt better in cold weather
I have had the cat 7,8 and 9. I think the 8 is the best by far
Suggestion for bat scale: since there are a lot of bats tied on score make exit velocity the tie breaker. For instance there are 10 bats with a 22 score and the String King Metal 2 is ranked towards the bottom of those yet has the 5th highest exit velo of all bats. Thanks
Can you guys make a video on the 918 and 919 Louisville Slugger Primes. Those bats were hot when they first dropped but no one really covers them on UA-cam
Another great fun video. Forget Lizard skins try out Vuk Grips nice and thin very very grippy you wont need any tar or anything else with it and reusable if need be. The batting gloves are great but only for a few BP sessions and games the grippy material on the gloves doesn't hold up the bat grips do though.

Sure, the Cat 9 composite is light-swiming, but if its light swing weight is the only real positive about the bat then you may as well add a Cheeto to the lineup for exit velo testing. Those are also light-swinging.
Starting with the cat 7 Marucci made the cats with variable wall barrel. The cat 6 had the same thickness wall barrel.

Stinger missle 2 is a much much closer resemblance of a voodoo one. Its not going to have as forgiving of a barrel from my experience as a cat8 but the pop is greater it seems like for me with the missle than the cat 8
