Another great review, of was has been shaped up as one of Bachmann's best tank engines to date! Bachmann have done amazing work on their pre-grouping liveries, such as the SECR lined green. I've always likened the E4's as the LBSCR equivalent of the LSWR M7's. The running quality is unbelievable yet again, for a model straight from the box! Really must pick up the L/C black one at some point. Superb review mate, looking forward to the next one!

Nice review. I'm just awaiting mine to be delivered, having already received the late BR version. This is the first proper view I have seen of the LBSC livery, as opposed to the catalogue pictures shown even on shop sites, so far.

Detail is terrific Callum. Especially in the cab. But I do wonder why they don't supply optional crew? It is such an open cab that no people notices. I'd Blu-tack some in I think. Bachmann are doing a wonderful job these days. Laurie.

I hope they do an pre Marsh umber brown livery LBSCR E4 with a Name on the side hopefully good thing I got some 4 wheel LBSCR coaches for one to pull if I go & buy this one ;-D

Yes. An Extended Side Tanks LBSCR E2. They Were only Produced by Hornby in the 80's before discontinuing it and changing the Tooling for Thomas. I Say Its a shame no Company has Remade the E2 yet because it is a nice engine. I'd love to see How Bachmann would do an E2 that isn't Thomas or a "Junior" Model.
Hi, I've had unreliable running issues with this loco over insulated-frog points. I've made a video to demonstrate this, "Bachmann OO Class E4 review". I watched your review of the Oxford Adams class, which seems to have excelled in having pickups on all wheels.
+Whaddney1 Thanks mate! Funny you say this, as mine has started doing that too. Which is annoying. Glad you enjoyed that review too! Sadly I made a bit of an error when I mentioned the pickups, missed read the instructions which actually say pickups on all drive and rear pony wheels. Like the E4 I have spotted it does not like some points, but it's no where near as bad as the E4. Apart from that is a great runner and a full running video of her will be coming soon. :)

Same here, I try to find a black 0-6-0 LBSC e1 but the only ones that are out there are really hard to find and they are Tri ang
