Douglas DC-3 - Auckland Scenic Flight - Ardmore Airport

On the 18th of April, I was lucky enough to be taken on a scenic flight in a DC-3 over the city I call home, Auckland. It left from Ardmore and headed East up the coast. We buzzed past Waiheke Island, Rangitoto Island and then did a loop of the CBD. We then headed West towards Auckland International Airport before touching back down at Ardmore. When we arrived back, we got a special ride in the DC-3, our own private taxi back to its resting place!

My family and I were on holiday from the UK and were on Dudar point that day and saw this fly over, we would have been on the hill at 6:08 in the video. We went to Maraetai for food before heading to Ardmore Airport for a look around. Beautiful plane and great video thanks for sharing.

We did enjoy New Zealand. We have family in the Bombay area so stayed with them for a few days before heading off and touring around the north island. It's a beautiful country and I would move there at a moments notice if I could. We will be back soon for a second visit.
