Heck Yea! Its my life. I Will always love flying. You will love it. The first few lessons were amazing for me. Everything is so new and exciting and you really feel the magic of flight as you feel the plane leave the runway and into the sky!
this is one of the best first flight video I have seen for a long time, you looked so comfortable at the controls, and your instructor was great.this has given me the bug to do my ppl now.i went up in a chipmonk with an jaguar fighter pilot when I was 13 so seeing this video makes me want to do it more.best of luck with your flying
It feels amazing to fly, I just had my first lesson too, and if your instructor feels very comfortable, let you do things, let you see some things and learn some stuff, thats just awesome! :) Also nice that you have the whole video! ;) love it man
Great video! I just started watching your videos, I had my fingers crossed that I'd find someone that's doing the same thing I plan to. I start lessons for my Private certificate over here in the US in 2 weeks, and I'm going to be using 2 GoPros and a voice recorder to keep record of my training. Looking forward to seeing your future videos! Subscribed :)
Really? Well, We didn't join long final we were in the circuit which is a short final. Also looked on profile all the way down to me. Still had plenty of altitude for the windsheer as we were coming up to the runway and touched down just beyond the numbers. Looks like a pretty good approach to me. But everybody has their opinion. Cheers
To record the audio I use a Sony Voice Recorder which I keep in my pocket, I attach a small lapel microphone to it which I slip into my left earmuff of my headset (if you look closely at the very beginning of the video you might be able to see me slip it in). The GoPro records audio as well but all you can hear is engine sound from it so I record the audio separately and edit it in later. The only settings I have the GoPro set to is FullHD and flip so the image isn't upside down.
Currently I use a GoPro HD Hero2 Camera. To record the audio I use a Sony Voice Recorder which I connect to the aircraft headset jack via a splitter cable. I later edit the audio and video together. This video however was Filmed over a year ago and at this early stage I was using a small microphone which I tucked into the earmuff of my headset.
I really enjoy your videos! I hope to start training for my PPL soon. How old were you when you started training for your PPL? Also how long did it take you? Thanks
Thank you. I was 28 when I started training for my PPL. It took me 13 months. Im 29 now. I was only flying in the weekends. It can take you less time if you fly more regularly. Hope that answers your question. Good luck with your PPL!
hello there im student pilot in US,i'd like to know what kind of adapter do you use to record the intercom ? And i have a gopro too, while using the external mic , will it record from its original mic simultaneously(i mean will it record the intercom voice and the voice in cabin).and finally,do you turn the gopro "sport meter settings" model on? Thank you for your answer~
Fantastic instructor, just the sort of guy you want!
