I actually liked how anime Goku Black didn't have a normal Super Saiyan form, fitting with the idea that Super Saiyan Rosé was truly a godly form of Super Saiyan. In fact, I have a headcanon that Super Saiyan Rosé functions like Super Saiyan Blue does, except instead of drawing upon the power of Super Saiyan God to empower the Super Saiyan form, Goku Black instead draws upon his own godly potential as Zamasu.

I remember back when this came out I called BS for him attaining this BUT it made perfect sense when it was Zamasu who took over his body.

Ain't gonna say exactly what happened in case someone reading hasn't yet watched the arc but Zamasu is inside Gokus body (not a spoiler, it's everywhere whenever you see Goku Black, he's called Zamasu and Goku Black interchangeably) so he gets the same ability to grow stronger as he fights and gets a zankai boost when taking sufficient damage in battle, like the Saiyans do. Also, Goku Black is genuinely a badass villain. The arc is shaky but Black, even tho he's basically just evil Goku, is still a great villain because of how Batshit crazy he actually is, imho. Watch the arc, it's the best arc in Super. Ending of the arc is pretty bad but the thing as a whole is pretty good!
Goku should have had this ability as well but maybe it depended on a type of darkness that he doesn't have. But goku that never bumped his head probably would have turned into this. That little thing changed the course of all of history
@@spartanheart6948 the reasons Goku Blacks form is like that is Zamasu asked the dragon to switch their body’s so even though he was in a saiyan body he was still a supreme Kai a divine being, but in this case this “wicked Kai” already mastered divine energy and just learned how to go super saiyan in gokus body which already put him on a level rivaling super saiyan blue bc he already mastered divine energy
My favourite form in the entire series. The unique skillset that Black used in the anime with the clones, spatial rupture and that Scythe was just epic.

Super Saiyan Rosé is just Super Saiyan Blue but because he is just Zamasu who already has God Ki & not a mortal, the hair turned Fuchsia instead of Blue. Super Saiyan Blue is for mortals.
I remember when the form got leaked everyone hated the pink hair. Then once the anime released and everyone saw it with the black aura it looked beautiful and frightening at the same time. It's got to be one of my favorite looking forms of all time.
Facts. Some people hate on super forms by calling them recolors, but each of the forms have the most badass and unique auras and techniques in the entire franchise
I don't hate nor like but Goku Black is the only character that I give a pass about all this recolor transformation that DBS been abuse. Simply because he is an evil counterpart to Goku, therefore make sense for him to have a different color of SS form in order to give a contrast to Goku. The rest of the forms introduced is just pointless recolor, unnecessary.

I was one of them, at the start I absolutely hated the transformation, but when I saw it in action I really started to like it even more, but personally what made me love it was the manga version, with a more sinester pink aura with added bolts and black eyelashes, it was beautiful

I always assumed Fused Zamasu's hair was white because Zamasu's hair is white. It took on Goku's shape but Zamasu's color. I think the green skin further backs up the idea that Zamasu influenced the colors of the fusion.
Which makes sense since the new soul is just Zamasu's soul from different timelines merging together. Aside from the mixed body, Merged Zamasu is really just a new Zamasu.

The fused version is just his normal hair coming out. Since it’s him fusing with himself I always assumed he just took on more of his normal appearance. Without the need to transform.
Ah let me add this it could also be because they fused transformed I remember old Kai saying fusing in a transformed state would be stupid as you’d never be able to power down! Or that it’s suicide as you’d be in a powered up state all the time basically killing yourself

@@gio_el_santo0099 It's not retconned, that drawback is offset by Zamasu's immortality. Other potara fusions like Vegito in Super and Kefla were formed when the fusees weren't transformed.

I always thought that Rosé was just the perfected version of SS God🤷🏾♂️ Its kinda hard to compare since Zamasu already trained and understood God Ki.
I always liked that thought since SSR didn't have any stamina issues like with Blue (at least at the time) and the color was definitely more inline with the magenta from SSG.

I like it being “rose” as in the flower since he’s known as Black, making him a “Black Rose.”
And in MasakoX's video on the color meaning for Super Saiyan Rose, he does break down that black roses are usually a symbol for great change through the death of old habits. Which is why the black rose is usually the symbol for a lot of anarchist groups over the past 50 years or so. Because Goku Black is an anarchist.
But "Rosé" gives him an alcohol themed name for the form, more like the Gods of Destruction's names, which suits him for the Zero Mortals Plan.

I remember when Goku Black was first introduced, there were theories about Goku Black actually transforming into a "Super Saiyan White", because Toriyama said that the villain if the Future Trunks arc was going to have white hair. The white haired villain actually turned out to be Zamasu, & the whole "Super Saiyan White" thing was for Fusion Zamasu, who is Goku Black fusing with another Zamasu.

All the speculation and theorizing surrounding this arc was so much fun. Had its problems esp towards the end but was a fun ride.
The neat part about Goku Black’s aura is that sometimes it creates the shape of a rose, especially during the “YOU WILL DIE TODAY!” moment
For Fused Zamasu hair, I think because Kaioshin’s (I think) aren’t able to change their appearance while Sayia-Jin’s do with different forms.
Zamasu was dominant for appearence of the fusion, so it took the hair design from Kakkarot Black (with one of the bangs being Zamasu’s) but keeps normal Kaioshin hair color.
The aura is the same, it’s not affected but for the rest, the body is from Zamasu who’s speicies don’t change appearence so what’s left is a Kaioshin with a hair of a Sayia-Jin and color scheme from the Sayia-Jin on a Kaioshin’s out-fit.
That’s my guess.

To me the white hair are simply because Zamas' hair color is "dominant", sort of speak, with Potara is not like with Metamor Fusion, there's no half of this and half of that, otherwise Fused Zamas would have a mix of pink and white hair.
Unless you go with "non-official" sources, like DB Fusions/Heroes, where Fusions don't follow the standard design, but are all over the place because they think more of what is cool (to them).
So, what I'm saying, is that Fused Zamas IS in Rosé, but doesn't have pink hair because only Goku can change hair color when achieving that power. It's like Toppo using God Ki against Goku, he doesn't have red mustaches and eyes, just the aura changes. Unless you count that time where TOEI turned him into Broly of Destruction Toppo... 🤦♂️ But that's TOEI's fetish for uber muscular transformations.

@@darkman452 Of that war the case, then he wouldn't look like a mix between Gokū and Zamas. Most of the hair and the body are Gokū's, the face and skin are of Zamas; even the clothes are a mix, shaped like Zamas' but colored like Black's.
From what I see, the Potara Fusion took Goku Black’s transformation, the other Zamasu’s immortality, and adapted it into one Merged Zamasu. The appearance of Merged Zamasu is permanently in Super Saiyan Rosé as a result and would not need to transform. It wasn’t until Goku shot Merged Zamasu and Kaioken kicked him in the head is what caused his corruption to kick in essentially killing Goku Black. The immortal part is what contributed in making his body to act out.

I remember the rage Geekdom, QAAMan, & MikeLSM displayed in the all star DB talk about this arc and how trash Super’s storytelling was. Those were the good ol’ days. Those talks were more entertaining than Super itself. Vegito being teased then only shown for minutes was the biggest disappointment in Super outside of Trunks suddenly forming a spirit bomb from a desolate planet.
I always theorized that since Zamasu was a god, Black had god ki by default or in his base. So rose to him would just be super saiyan but functionally blue. And the stamina issue is much less prevalent because he doesn’t have to consciously transform and maintain god ki at the same time.
There's Super Saiyan and Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan (SS). Super Saiyan God SS is just the first Super Saiyan form combined with the power of Super Saiyan God. In the DBS manga, Super Saiyan Rosé is the deity version of Super Saiyan God SS.
In the DBS anime and SDBH, Super Saiyan Rosé is the first Super Saiyan form alone, but Zamasu's god ki affected the color and aura (and possibly raised the power boost), hence why we get Super Saiyan Rosé 2 and 3 in SDBH, but not Super Saiyan Blue 2 and 3.

Goku Black Super Saiyan Rose might be the most overpowered super saiyan form in Dragonball Super. The stuff that Goku Black could perform :Spatial/temporal disruption and creation of different weapons out of ki is just incredible. Makes me wonder, did they purposely create merged Zamasu just as a way to destroy Goku Black?

I think that the aura is a manifestation of one's soul (intends, behavior, deeds, personality). Ki itself is a manifestation of the soul represented and granting a living being powers from inside out. That been said, depending on who is using the ki energy, the aura will differ in colour, shape and so on. Captain Gyniu for example also has purple aura, even when he uses ki energy in Goku's body. Goku Black in base form on Goku's body has blackish purple aura and ki; which Goku has never used before, because Goku's natural energy has always been blue or white (white for his aura and blue for ki blasts). I say this, based on all previous Goku's ki blast and aura in base form. They were either blue or white. In other words, ki energy has nothing to do with one's physical body. It has to do with one's soul. It doesn't mater if they are cells of a saiyan or if it is a god entity cell (DNA). The ki manifests differently depending on who is using the ki and not the body of who (it's not the body that manifest ki, but the "will" of who is using it). Of course it has nothing to do with the regular ssj transformation, because Vegeta's energy in base form is purple too. His Garlick Gun and some other energy blast are in most cases purple, and despite that, not only Vegeta, but every saiyan who transformed into ssj ended up with yellow hair (even if their souls shines differently if we could describe it like that).
I believe when you master your ki (resulting in god ki) allows you to have a deeper access to yourself (soul) and pulls it out in a way that takes over your own body, in the case of a saiyan, it takes over the S cells within their bodies. It's like this: you take over of yourself. Your true YOU shows up, and the body in this case is nothing more but a shell. Goku and the others are strong not because their because their bodies are strong, but because their both mind and spirits are connected. For example, if a standard human switch bodies with Goku, that human if shot by a regular gun will probably die even if he is in Goku's body. I clarified this, because saiyans transformed into ssj because of their S cells within their bodies that every saiyan has, but it also has nothing to do with ki itself, and the manifestation of their aura, because cells (physical body) has nothing to do with aura itself. Regular ssj is a transformation to the body, it's not related to your soul, but it does shape who you are when you transform (personality, behaviour and so on). That's why saiyans undergo that transformation on their physical body when they transform into regular ssj and ends up with yellow hair. It's a mutation to their DNA. Their aura also turns yellow not because of the transformation itself, but because of the behaviour needed for that transformation (rage, anger, pride).
Zamasu's energy has always been purple, so when he uses god ki, he access his true self and manifest it in the inside out. Basically, the saiyans cells matters nothing to who masters their soul, so Zamasu turns "Zamasu" even if he is in Goku's body, taking over the S cells of Goku's body. It seems that S cells react to the god ki allowing it to shape and mutate according to the user. It's hard to say this, because we have only seen Goku and Vegeta in blue form; which makes us wonder why they both have the same hair color even if their souls differ. And of course, we have seen Zamasu in rose... god ki does mutate the S cells for some yet unknown reason... Fused Zamasu got white hair because his original hair is white, plus spiked because of Goku's black ssj rose hair, just that... Why it's not rose? Because his original self took over the S cells. It seems only the S cells allow someone to mutate when using god ki. His aura is purple not because of rose, but because he had always had purple aura within him.

It's very hard and complicated... It's either that or it works just for looks and sell products :)

Great video! So glad you discussed that SSJ Rose' is a varient of SSJ Blue and not just his version of SSJ. Those of us that have even minuscule knowledge of the manga have known this for years. I do wish they would've shown this in the anime, as well as SSJG Vegeta. Would've made chronological sense when Vegeta uses the form in DBS: Broly since we would've seen it much earlier.

Not trying to be a hater and I feel like that’s what you chalk up as anyone saying something negative towards you or your content: this video was just not particularly good and I see in the comments immediately im not the only one who is thinking the same thing:
1. Rosé is, quite literally, never stated to be the “dark or polluted” counterpart to Super Saiyan Blue.
2. You even put the manga panels up yourself where Zamasu says this is what a deity looks like as a Super Saiyan God.
2a. Head canon talking: my interpretation of this was.... basically if Goku and Vegeta somehow ascended into an actual God. Like a GOD or, somehow, a Kai... their transformation into Super Saiyan Blue, would become Super Saiyan Rosé
2b. Goku Black is literally a deity soul in a mortal body, while Goku and Vegeta are transforming their mortal bodies into a state of being that is of a deities. Goku Black doesn’t need to transform to become a God. Ergo, Super Saiyan Rosé, is quite literally, the divine counterpart to a mortal’s Super Saiyan Blue
3. Your tangent about the white hair was just stupid. It’s not a perfected form of Rosé. It’s just a fusion blend between the two characters’ appearance. The best reach for Rosé in Merged Zamasu was when he powered up against Vegetto and had Rosé Ki. It simply has Zamasu’s white hair as the dominant appearance.
3a. Merged Zamasu’s body was failing due to him being the product of a mortal and an immortal.

@@enesaslan8622 Thank you. That was more or less my primary objective here. For him to evaluate the fact: the content quality has gone down a bit. I mean, he may say fuck my opinion, but shit I’m a fan if you don’t care what your audience has to say, and not to mention acknowledge the fact I took the time to write this out-it kind of proves one doesn’t give a damn about their audience.
Geekdom almost always is the first to get on someone if they either 1. Say something well misinformed about the series or 2. Say something slightly incorrect.
To that end, and he may or may not agree, I believe he’s a perfectionist of the series, or at least has been doing this for so long and has said comments about “other people are getting a lot of this stuff wrong” - who are also trying to make ends-meat by creating content; that I’d expect him to innately hold himself to his own standards.
And like I said in my original comment - all of which I stated was straight forward information and not something hidden in a guidebook or secret extra. Just kind of am shocked he’d post a video saying Rosé is the dark version of blue which is shitty head canon. (Edit; not even head canon cause it’s just never even implied it’s a dark transformation, just a poorly articulated thought)

I know sources in this are probably more scarce than other forms, but it seems weird to me that Geekdom referenced the colored version of the manga. If I'm not mistaken, hasn't he dismissed the colors in that version as erroneous regarding other topics?
I like how it is Goku Black's version of SSB with twisted abilities thanks to him bring Zamazu.
Ssj blue is also multi colored in its aura, it's interior is white, it's second lair is blue and it's outline is yellow
Also fused zamasu most likely has white hair because he, Future zamasu and goku black and one and the same in that they are both different versions of zamasu and his hair was naturally white before they fused so, it kept the color of his natural hair color but changed to the ssi hair shape
Geekdom, THANK YOU. People have thought that Rose was Black's "Normal" Super Saiyan form when it's painfully obvious by the form's use of God Ki, which a Normal Super Saiyan doesn't have. I'm glad that the manga actually showed Black using normal Super Saiyan and his version of Blue (Rose), but the lie still persisted. So hopefully, you can silence that lie more concretely, even though there still will be people in the fandom that hold onto that lie.

The white hair to me makes more sense because in essence it's basically 2 Zamasu's merging but still has the super Saiyan rose from Goku's body and his essence in that body.

The only reason bardock transformed was he somewhat died but was caught in a gray area where he did have the properties of his tail even though he physically still has his tail.
This is my own personal head canon though. It probably will never happen. It's fun to come up with fan stories or theories to explain Dragonball lore.
I've heard of a similar theory usually connected to GT. That the "true" SSJ is basically the golden oozaru and the humanoid versions are just lesser forms with the exception of SSJ4.

I know in the manga it says that it's a version of SSJ Blue, but in the anime especially how base Black thought SSJ 2 Goku than took shots form Blue Vegeta in BASE. That sounds like it's just blacks version of SSJ in the anime just with a rose tint color hair. When I hear about black's new form I was like ''okay that's cool'', but when they showed it in animation it was awesome it just worked, miss those days.

i remember seeing the episodes of this form, super saiyan rose was so powerful even goku and vegeta super saiyan blue fighting together was no match.
I always figured that Fused Zamasu was like that because Goku Black was Super Saiyan Rosè when they fused. Kinda like how in the Buu Saga Elder Kai said to make sure they weren’t super Saiyan when they fused with the Potara earrings because the roll was too great on the body and it would shorten their lifespan and I thought that was also what was happening to fused Zamasu
Super saiyan rose is when the soul of a god takes over a saiyan’s body. But what if a saiyan became a god? Not meaning the transformation but the actual position and divine energy, or does that only apply for kais. Also this and Ginyu prove the chi is related to the soul and body, both play a part in one’s energy signature and possible physical abilities. Maybe rose is due to a general soul transfer, could the soul of a god have caused a genetic mutation thus giving super saiyan rose? There are so many possibilities.

It makes sense in a way because when Goku and Vegeta fuse they can only use a form they both know how to use like ssj, god and blue. So it kinda makes to me that fused Zamasu is in his Rosé form but with Zamasu’s white hair like some sort of mutation.
Still to this day one of my favorite forms of ssj. Goku Black is just awesome
I've seen it mentioned in the comments about the hair and that it could simply come down to the fusion and Zamas' hair color taking dominance. Not every mixture of colors need to occur in the way Gotenks does, at least in my opinion. Though even if we want to say the white hair is some ascension of Super Saiyan Rose, I think something with mentioning that Geekdom did not if a potential explanation for Merged Zamas' deterioration.
In Dragon Ball Z, the old Kai warns Goku not to use the potara while transformed. Not only would it likely be unnecessary, but it would then make that transformation a sort of new default state. Likely maintaining the same disadvantages of remaining in a transformed state. In both tellings of the goku black arc, Zamas and Black fuse while Black is transformed, which was a TERRIBLE misstep on their part and I wish was mentioned by Gowas or Kaioshin. It may not be directly confirmable but precedent by word of mouth does exist.
I do wonder if Rose was made solely so that Goku and Goku Black's close up faces wouldn't look identical when they were both in the same place. I feel like that's why we didn't see regular SSJ Goku Black in the anime, and only against Vegeta in the manga. Either way, it's a great color, I love the aura.

The reason that merged Zamasu hair looks like Super Saiyan Rosè but white instead of pink is because Goku Black was using Super Saiyan Rosè when he fused with Zamasu if Goku Black was in his base form when he fused with Zamasu then merged Zamasu would have been able to transform into Super Saiyan Rosè its like what Elder Kai told Goku to not fuse while in Super Saiyan or they will always be in Super Saiyan and be unable to transform back into their base form
The toriyama and anime statement of ssj rose being goku blacks ssj are both valid, it’s just which one you prefer to use.
The only part of the potara fusiuon that got "retconned" was the time limit for mortals and kaioshins. Didn't elder kai say something in DBZ in the BUU Saga that, goku and vegeta should fuse in their base then go super saiyan after fusing. What we see in DBS is Goku Black in his SS Rose fusing with Zamasu, which is where he's getting his spiked white hair. i'm pretty sure if goku black fused with zamasu in his base, the fusion would look different. I think both fusing with a mortal and fusing in non-base made the fusion corrupted.
It was because Goku Black was a mortal and Future Zamasu was immortal. This tainted the fusion. It wasn’t tainted until Goku shot a powerful God Kamehameha Wave at Merged Zamasu. This obliterated Goku Black which is why at one point you hear only a singular Zamasu’s voice instead of an unison voice.
It is worth remembering, and I'm surprised you didn't touch on this, that this is, I believe, the only occasion in which someone fuses with the Potara while already in a Super Saiyan form. And Elder Kai suggested (at least in the anime I can't remember about the manga) that using the potara when already a Super Saiyan could cause your body to undergo unstable side effects due to the overwhelming power it provides. He specifically cautioned Goku against transforming first, saying after the Potara fusion is complete, if they feel the need to go Super Saiyan, they can, but should not do so before fusing.
Zamasu may understand godly ki but he is in a mortal body. So the white hair (as well as the part of his body going monstrous) I would imagine was caused by that. Fusing while evolved was too much.
Or not. The Potara have been retconned to hell and back so it could just be a design choice, fusing Super Saiyan Rose's hairstyle with Zamasu's color.
Fusion Zamasu is actually in the Super Saiyan Rose form. No one mentions it in the anime, but in the DBS manga, Vegeta says Fused Zamasu is in Super Saiyan Blue (Rose) form. Also, there is an official Dragon Ball Super danger scale guide. Fusion Zamasu is specifically called "Super Saiyan Rosé Fusion Zamasu " on the danger scale (in which Fused Zamasu ranks a 12 out of 12)
@@quanthebronxny3996 Sure. I'm not saying he isn't. Quite the contrary in fact. I'm saying that this is the only time a Saiyan enters into a Potara fusion already transformed. My point is he's permanently stuck in that form, which given what we know about Potara, is likely partially what causes his body to begin breaking down. The reason his hair is white is just because that's an attribute taken from Zamasu's body for the fusion.

If anything, SSB would be the “corrupted” version of Rosè as Rosè is achieved by a Saiyan who was born with god ki, while ssb is only obtainable by a mortal, as such Rosè doesn’t have any of the drawbacks, and the reason for Zamasu’s hair is because Goku Black was in Rosè when they fused and Zamasu’s hair color was dominant

You must really love time travel and having a Hero come back from the future to stop the extermination of the human race by those that you could even call Terminators ....Honestly I was super Hyped when I saw that Future Trunks was coming back and I felt it made sense that Trunks SSJ 2 could keep up with Gokus SSJ3 because like the Prince said himself ,Human and Saiyan offspring have more power potential...

A thought about why the angels are considered stringer than the god's of destruction: maybe it's about consistency. If a destroyers powers are linked to their internal state and thoughts about destroying, they won't always be in full power GoD mode, but angels are always in Mastered Ultra Instinct form, they are always at the top of their game. This also begs the question of, is Beerus weaker whem using UI? He may be faster and harder to hit, but since his mind is tranquil and calm, does that mean he can't power up as much with his GoD abilities and ki? Would love to hear anyone's thought on this.

To be honest in the anime to me it made more sense of ss rose was goku black going regular ssj because in his base form he was already getting blows on ssb vegeta so I feel the power jump from base to ssb should’ve been enough to 1 shot goku and vegeta in their ssb forms, but that wasn’t the case.
