I really like the Roland Micro Cube, so I was really interested in taking a look at the Cube 10GX. It has a lot of the same features that you might expect, if you know any of the other amps in the Cube series. It's really affordable, which is nice. This thing could be a really good practice amp solution for many guitarists.
    Hope you enjoy!

Elmo thank you for another wonderful video! This was a pleasant way to start off my work week. I agree this sounds pretty fantastic. Especially with you playing through it. When I got to the rectum-fryer I thought to myself "This isn't too bad" and was happy that you agreed. I also felt the same way about what you said concerning the Katana. I don't own one, and as I have the original CUBE 80XL I see no need to to join that cult. 🎸🤘😜🤘🎸

I love the older Cube amps. I have the Micro and the 20X. Both are phenomenal practice amps, and do a decent job at recording. The only knock against them is when you go above halfway on the volume. That rich, lush sound gets small and boxy real quick.

The app is OK and I appreciate your thorough review. But what is really outstanding (other than your obvious talent) is that awesome guitar. I have never seen a mahogany Strat and even better with a scalloped fretboard. Totally awesome! As would be expected with a mahogany body it has a really sweet tone. Thanks for the review.

Back in 1980 G&L made a F-100 strat with a mahogany body and dual humbuckers, I think it was Leo Fender's take on a Les Paul, I have a left-handed one I special ordered in 1981. Cherry red with a maple neck, great guitar.

My favourite setting on my microcube is Brit Combo (which I think is modelled on some kind of Vox). But on my Cube 40gx I really like to stay on that Tweed setting. It has a nice kind of interesting 'edge' to the sound - hard to describe. I know this is a matter of personal taste - but the GX does give plenty of usable options to choose from.

I had one of these. I remember liking it but I remember it was very dark and not very tight. But I dont remember why I got rid of it. Anyways thinking about getting another one. I remember these being way fatter and fuller sounding than most other amps in this price range. Its funny the sound that you recorded sounds exactly like them amp. You did a great job with that.

I had gone through several other amps - a Mustang, an old Traynor amp, a Crate, and was dissatisfied with all of them. I found a Cube 15XL for just 60 USD on Marketplace and am extremely happy with it. I also subsequently purchased an Ibanez GRG121SP, thanks again to your review.

I love my micro cubes and this is not much different. Recently having watched many pedal boards and effects units in use (blame Dave Simpson) I bought a Mooer GE 100 at less than £70 new. After much angst trying to learn how to use it I find it works brilliantly as a front end to a micro cube and also my 75 watt line 6 amps through their clean channels . No need to spend fortunes. Not professional level sounds but good enough for practice :) .

Not sure I've tried it. I like most of the Cube series though.

Elmo Karjalainen I just purchased a micro cube and I’m loving it! I tried allot of modeling amps and non ( for me) came close to the response and tone of the cube. I play with vst on my computer but I was tired of looking at the screen and turning on my whole set up. The micro cube is just plug and play, and it’s inspiring me to get a real tube and a few pedals.
May I ask, is there a reason why you prefer the cube series over any other modeling amp?

It actually didn't sound too terrible from here although when you upped the bass it did sound like you put a couple of winter socks over the speaker. I don't much like small amps though. I like to move more air than they're capable of. If you live in an environment where you need to keep the noise down it's ok I guess. For the price, it's ok for the youngsters.

My Katana MKII 50 would chew that thing up and spit it out plus yes it significantly heavier but it does low Vol practice and you can Gig with it !! Cant believe you compared the Two . Not a Boss Fan Boy I have a Marshall and some Older Laney & Randell , Soldano Heads . But for practice and small Gigs the B-K MKII 50 cant be beat and the price is fantastic for what you get ....

Personally i thought this was a great review of this amp. He was honest about the effects (somewhat passable) and while his playing is extremely good, i thought this amp actually did highlight his skills thereby signifying that this amp will support superior playing with great note definition.
