Godly play from both. Sparg0's spacing was on point, so many trades where Kazuya would miss, and Cloud would connect. Great air dodges from both sides, and absolute killer instinct. Sparg0 didn't want to give up that 2nd stock game 5, but Riddles took it with incredible skill. I saw a few small mistakes with the options chosen by Riddles, but his combo game is unmatched

Super hot take but I genuinely enjoy watching the "Tekken", "Street Fighter" or "KOF" combos more than watching sword characters just wave their swords around abusing their range until an attack lands. I once watched a match between this same Cloud and a pro Ryu and it was awful because Cloud just kept spamming Back Airs, Forward Airs at a safe distance and spamming the literal hell out of Cross Slash through focus attack. Everyone was rooting for and complimenting Cloud for the "spacing." But the moment these fighting game characters managed to squeeze through the onslaught of "spacing?" Nah that's OP

there's a massive difference here, riddles would never take these sets nor win majors without kazuya. He isn't good enough with terry to do so. Meanwhile Sparg0 can take sets off anybody or win any major using only cloud without the need of aegis.

Riddles is amazing and very good at the mu, but i'm quite surprised that a lot of players are saying that Sparg0 should try other character (Aegis can get cheesed too also), i main cloud and this mu may be a pain for both sides, the problem i see is that players tend to put a wall with aerials against Kazuya, space really well and move around kazuya using jump a lot, and doesn't respect kazuya at the ledge also, BUT the problem is: kazuya doesn't care, electric beats back air, short hop, full hop, fair... But it doesn't beat movement. There's a wolf that beat riddles at smashpros, and he moved so much that riddles was unconfortable (wolf punish game was on point to make it clear), so you whiff punish electric or every tilt kazuya does with movement, and force an aproach (expecting kazuya will come at you like a torpedo with crouch dash and electric), but you can react. The problem i see with Sparg0 is that he plays way to agressive sometimes, doesn't stay grounded or camp charging limit when he shouldn't aproach, and his worst mistake is not respecting kazuya at the ledge because gates of hell is the worst enemy of many characters in this mu (the only time you play agresive is when limit is up, or about to be online). If kazuya players think they can cheese you with broken gimps, or with his combos tools, the response is to make every kazuya player a living hell while playing their character by not aproaching, force an aproach with movement (not just mashing safe aereals), get a opening with a whiff punish, and then beat the crap out of him during advantage and finally reset if you fail. Ryu in smash 4 was broken with tilts and tru shoryu, and nobody in their right mind aproach him, i don't see the difference with kazuya and terry in this game, Cloud may be very efficient at deleting stocks during advantage, but you should know how to play campy or defensive when it matters, same trend i see when he played versus muteace during the final stock, he shouldn't aproach, play super lame, get limit or force a bad aproach, but we know how the story unfold. I know i don't have the skill (and probably never will) to beat riddles, and sparg0 is just way better than me, and i would't be mad if Sparg0 tries other character in this mu, but i strongly believe this mu can be improved a lot from Sparg0's side, he just need to know when to slow down and have a sonic main mentality (you know the vives kinda thing... Meme or not, it fuc**ing works) and dont get tilted when kazuya delete your stock, because it's gonna happen no matter what you do 😂. Also, shielding sucks against kazuya, if you keep lossing against him remove your shield and try movement as a defensive tool.

Nerfing Kaz is hard because of the way his kit is designed. They basically gave him everything but made him awkward to use as a result. Most heavies have this problem, but they're not as good or awkward.

This comment section is so aids. Nobody is enjoying the gameplay here. All i see is bitching and complaining about x-character broken and op and carries players and y-character so bad and shouldve won.

It’s like Spargos plays a more skillful fight but all Kazuya has to do is get one hit lol.
Kazuya is very hard to use in top play. Those combos are not easy to do. It's just riddles
If Riddles dropped the game, you'd barely see Kaz top level. And he doesn't even solo main him
