@@muhammadtahir1425 Crypto is entering its 5th super cycle based on Bitcoin (there is a finite amount of BTC that will be mined and it will be halving next year).

Canada (where this TED talk happened) needs to update their freedom index from green to red, considering their response to th Trucker convoy and how they froze assets through banks of convoy participants and tried to stop crypto too when they realized truckers turned to it because crypto couldn't be traced Peer to Peer.

What worries me is if you have 200,000 or $300,000 in bitcoin and the market takes a dive , you can lose a lot of your net worth if it’s all in bitcoin right?

These ideas are dangerous to the establishment and status quo which seeks to preserve its domination over human life on this planet. Ruling the world means controlling money and resources so that "lesser" humans are forced to work for you and do your bidding. And this is why school systems work like a public babysitter service for laborers' children with the goal of keeping laborers working and training the children to be docile and controllable replacements for their parents in the future. No, it's not a conspiracy it's just a result of a lot of greed, incompetence and unwillingness to change. When you're wealthy and powerful you support things and ideas that will make you more wealthy and powerful and keep the worker bees working. Greed and incompetence has also lead to the end of the great experiment with democratic republics: we've reached a point of stagnation where there's no longer choice or fairness because all options are controlled by an aristocratic elite. Large organizations and system, like a government or a corporation, sort of take on a life and personality of their own by the collective thoughts and actions of the people involved in it. And these systems don't want to change, they just want more money and power. The last thing they need is an educational system which trains children to be free-thinking intellectuals that ask questions. They merely need compliant workers to keep serving the people and organizations involved, so that is what they produce.
Fiat currency and central banking is the parasitic curse at the root of it all. It enables modern aristocracy to exist and exert its influence over nations and the world at large. Those people fear new ideas like Bitcoin because if it replaced fiat currency and central banks they would no longer have a blank check to make unlimited withdrawals from our economies and savings. Some try to embrace it to hedge their bets, and use their existing wealth to try to buy their way into positions of influence in this new system. Others outright oppose it and try to preach propaganda against the concepts of free and decentralized systems. They want things to stay the same, centralized and under their thumb. For them and the organizations they control and represent, these ideas of blockchains and decentralized methods of organizing and governing society are terrifying, just as the American colonists clamoring for representation in government frightened the English monarch and sent tremors around the world ...

@@cryptomo1135 I think people should be discouraged from day trading unless they've earned the financial experience and knowledge to be successful at it. Long term investing in crypto is super easy, extremely profitable and requires minimal time, effort and skill. You can literally just buy Bitcoin, increasing the amount little by little, and just wait. Start during a period like this where sentiment is bearish and fear is widespread. Unfortunately, most people get encouraged to do the exact opposite and purchase large amounts when prices are high and irrational exuberance is off the charts. Or they try to be day traders without the market experience or financial knowledge. Pretty big losses typically result. I have day-traded for at least 15 years now, but I've mainly switch to longer-term investing because it frees up a lot more of my time and reduces stress (i.e., a better quality of life) and still makes some significant profit.
