Great presentation! I have a question - if blockchain can be used to store business transcripts that everyone can have access to, including banks, what if I don't want I don't want everyone to know my business? Also, if used in the health sector, won't people have access to confidential data?
Yes, the answer to this question could be private/protected blockchain. Where you can control who can have access to your data.

Am watching this from Africa KENYA and my country has been used as an example of poor countries. I am a computer science student studing from kenya and has some interest in block chain.. It kept me thinking "I thought i live a good life, how fancy is the life out there that mine has to be considered poor". Looking forward to learning more of blockchain and Atleast try improve the situation in this country of ours..

@@DipJyotiDeka its not yet that much efficient. But its growing rapidly. In start it was 5 per second but now we have reached to the level around 1500 per second. So the feasibility would be a country like Liechtenstein or Luxembourg for now.

thank you. i do get the generalize concept of the use of blockchain technology ... the areas in a bit puzzled about is the reliability of the information.. this would have to depend on the system/practices put in place to verify that the information is 100% accurate? how would this be done? i can see how blockchain can be implemented in the finance area, but for other general uses like the example you used for the poor, is that every system that we know of in our societies, in different countries, will have to be remodeled using blockcain technology so that from birth every information that can be collected from us will be held in blockchain which can be accessed where ever?
Yes, that could be one scenario collecting data from the start. Also, the verification of information could be done in a way that you enter your information, your family members/friends would verify that. In case of a report, a local body representative would validate that and then finalize it. But this is again just one possible scenario out of many.

It's one of the feature is that it's transparent, but what about the privacy? Will it be safe to make available our personal information Publically available.. Like the Doc. Or anything.
Transparency is the key factor here. But blockchain has 3 types. Public, private and protected. So based on the application or use, you can integrate it into your system. It doesn't has to be always public.

The explanation at 6:05 about three friends being able to know what each of them owns on a blockchain is misleading. It runs counter to a blockchain use case: "Let the decentralized ledger keep a record of my transactions without allowing other users I don't trust to associate my assets with me." In other words, "Let the ledger keep a distributed record of my transactions like a receipt so I can prove them, but associate my transactions with a unique identifier that cannot be associated by the general public to me."
