  • I bought this used 2015 Honda Civic 1.8 EX with 120,000 miles and when I was checking the brakes I found one caliper was not sliding very well.
    Then I discovered the rubber boot (bushing) had a hole. If you don't fix that, water and dirt go through it and start seizing and rusting the caliper pin.
    Then you will have issues with uneven brake pads and premature rotor use, costing you a lot more.
    I spent $13 on new bushings and caliper pins and fixed it in less than an hour.
