Your diff cover reminds me of my oil bath air cleaner. I found a hole rusted through the bottom pan. Rather tha spend a couple hundred dollars on a new one, I slapped some Permatex over the hole. It's been holding for seven years now. I had to chuckle that your plug threads that were almostt rusted away. Enjoy your wall hanger
@@SunkCostGarage The difference being, if my air cleaner leaks, it just makes a mess, if your differential cover leaks, it makes a mess and could trash a freshly rebuilt axel assembly. You definitely took the right choice
Once I saw the threads gone, I realized how bad it was. Really neat that you were able to reuse it as wall decoration, it looks great!

I thought about blasting it to bare metal and slathering some JB Weld on it but I didn't think there would be enough metal left after blasting it.
