I'm a flight attendant and many airlines do not allow that foot rest thing to be used on their airplanes including the one I work for just fyi. The policy directly from my airline's SOP: "Passenger convenience items may not be attached to any part of the aircraft. Examples: footsling/hammock" Just because something is manufactured, marketed and sold on Amazon doesn't mean it's FAA approved or allowed by the airline, so YMMV.
In case this helps, "chemical" sunscreen is aka "organic" sunscreen. Mineral sunscreen is inorganic. It's not really that one is "healthier" than the other. If your skin is deeper than fair, mineral sunscreens will likely leave a white cast unless there's s lot of pigment added that matches your skin. Pick what you like. As the derm MD's say, "The best sunscreen is one you will use every day"😊
Love everything! The foldable hangers are a GAME CHANGER! I packed 15 velvet slim hangers in my luggage and wow, they took up way too much room. 😢 I’ll be buying these!
So many of these carry-on travel items like the pillow/blanket and neck tube thing take up so much space… even all those makeup bags and bulky toiletry bags take up so much space. I use ziplocks or flat thick plastic bags for everything. Its easy to pack flat and very lightweight containers. Sometimes, less is better, especially when traveling… even if you have room in first class or business class, space is still limited around your feet…
I bought those luggage tags a month ago for our cruise. And love them! The giant pill dispenser is great. I put my vitamins on the AM side and my husband's on the PM side. Great for travel, but it worked so well that I'm using it all the time!
I love the hangers, I have purchased them before your video. I swear you spoke about this before, but they are so handy. We go to a resort in Florida and I love hanging my clothes in the closet when I come in and the people I was with were a little jealous that they didn’t bring those, but they were awesome to have love this video Shea!

Love these recommendations especially for travel by plane. Going to Italy later this year and can use all the travel recommendations possible to help make the flight a little more bearable! Thanks for these ideas! They’re great! 😊
I have the Bagsmart carry on bag in black and I agree! It is the perfect carry on bag. Lots of room with easy access pockets and very comfortable to carry on my shoulder or cross body. And it looks so well made like a higher end bag
I like the idea of the neck pillow. When I was cabin crew, I rapidly realised, when flying as a passenger, it was so much nicer to only have a light backpack (that had an extendable bottom for snacks on board, then could be zipped away to smaller size backpack after flight when they have been eaten. ) Walking around airport with just a small backpack or cross body bag is sooooo nice. I do always like to have a change of clothes, silk pyjama set that folds up so small, toothbrush, hairbrush and face wash/basic makeup. With me, in case my luggage goes astray. Otherwise I just want power bank, iPad, phone, and travel plugs. Having hands free, when travelling is sooo liberating.
Those magnets are great on a cruise. You can hang anything on them and they will not fall off the cabin walls. And you are right, you are not allowed to leave anything, including towels or swimsuits on the cruise balcony. The foldable pill cases are great, not only for travel, but just to keep miscellaneous medications in one easy spot at home.
Wow, Shea, the motion sickness patches are a great find! My parents want to take the kids on a whale watch and these will be awesome! I am so glad you shared this!
I’m on vacation right now, and this is the second year I used the puffy black bag you recommended from Walmart as my carry-on, and it’s perfect. I also use a backpack as a purse, and use those zipper clips to keep it secure.
I cruise a lot- several times a year and the folding hangers are a must. I always take 2 or 3 (even carry on only) for bathing suits. They work much better on those in shower clothes lines than the big wooden hangers that the cruise lines have. I also bring a couple of bag clips to use with the hangers for longer trips - great for washing and hanging socks, etc. from one hanger.
Thank you again for another great video. I have learned a lot about the new things available for travel! And I will be traveling at the end of June! Have a wonderful weekend!
Instead of seat covers I always travel with flushable wipes and antibacterial wipes. I wipe the seat before I use it. Usually there is a trash can in a toilet area that you throw it in. Many countries you need toilet paper and I find the flushable wipes come in very handy.
@@lindaroyalty6522 yes there is. You may not want to flush them but that’s what it says on the package. They are meant for the tush. They are not the hand sanitizer wipes. If there is no toilet paper in the bathroom you can use these wipes. Throw them away. I have a bad hip and can’t hover over a toilet. I have no choice but tho wipe the toilet seat. These were options I use.
I just bought the motion sickness patches last week before I saw your video! I was actually thinking it would have been something you'd recommend! I'll be testing them out this weekend and will be so happy if it works, since Dramamine has unpleasant side effects. I'm trying out the magnetic pill container as well, and I'm excited because some of the compartments are large enough for bandaids, etc. so I think I'll set it up as a miniature first aid kit.
@@BelleMort6I feel like they do work to a decent extent! For me, if it’s a long car ride/that type of thing the patch really helps, but over the summer I did some train travel where you have to sit facing backwards from the direction of travel, and there were a few times the patch didn’t cut it, but I do have a motion sickness bracelet that stimulates a nerve, so the pair worked together. I hope it works for you!
I used to use water shoes, but I then found some water socks. Just lycra on top and neoprene underneath. Not suitable for rocky beaches, but good for protecting against plantar warts in pools, and weigh nothing and don't take up space in your suitcase. I got mine on ebay years ago, so don't know if they're still available.
Important note: that iron/steamer is adorable, but you CAN’T bring that on a cruise! It will be confiscated by the cruise line due to fire restrictions. Just sayin.
I travel for business a couple of times a month. At home, I am an avid castor oil user. What suggestions do you have for storing castor oil to take on the plane?
I was just traveling for work for a week and was struggling to hang my clothes up with the 7 hangers the hotel gave me. I was piling clothes on top of clothes. It happens every time and I was kicking myself for not bringing hangers from home. And today you introduced me to the foldable hangers!!! They immediately went in my cart! 🙂 Thank you!!!
Yes to the laundry sheets! I brought some with us when we went to Disney and was able to wash our clothes a day before we left so we came home with fresh laundry. They also sell really convenient zipper laundry bags that unzip and fold out so if you are on laundry on vacation person you can easily keep your dirty laundry all in one spot and easily transport it to the laundry room of your hotel
I have the Apple kit but I’ve lost the adaptors through the years. Would be nice if it came in a reusable case you could just place back when done. But then again they probably want you to buy it again.
I have the suitcase. It’s fabulous! Perfect for a short stay with so many unique amenities! I also have the quilted bag and it’s been great to throw so many last minute “essentials!”
Just got back from an overseas trip with my husband 2 days ago, and I have the foldable hangers. They were AWESOME, as there were 2 of us and, like you said, hotels just don't have many hangers. Super recommend them!!!! 👍👍👍
the zipper clips are GENIUS and will also prevent my cats from escaping their carriers on the way to the vet!! I have previously just been using little twist-ties from the grocery store to attach their zippers together.
Great list! As I'm about to head out on a 3 week vacation in July to North Dakota, Montana, Idaho, Washington, Oregon, and Alaska I ordered at least 5 things from your list! Happy travels everyone!
Personally I wouldn't get the Apple travel adapter kit. I would get the Epicka adapter instead. It has a USB type C outlet, 4 USB type A outlets, and 1 outlet that fits every type of plug in the world. It's a big block, but all of the adapters for essentially every outlet in the world are built into the block, so you don't have to carry a bunch of different adapters. It also comes with a spare fuse in case you blow the one already installed.
Those travel hangers look awesome! My hubs and I got to Disney every winter and by the end of the week there are clothes EVERYWHERE 😆😆 and it’s really hard to rewear stuff that’s been crumbled up the bed or dresser
The middle part of the toilet seat cover does not go in the toilet. Flip it around and put the flap over the front to protect your pants from touching the seat or the toilet flushing and taking your cover down before you sit down. Dang motion sensor.
Water shoes!!! I could go on! Great for ANYwhere there is public water. Showers, pools, spas. Athletes foot is very contagious and wearing these? Well it's protection for your feet!!!
They are actually good for the aircraft. I see a lot of people walking around with bare feet or just their socks. As cabin crew, trust me you want some waterproof barrier on the soles, when walking around the aircraft, especially for the toilets, as it isn’t always just water you see on the floor. As feet do swell a bit, having a soft expandable, easy slip on shoes, with some waterproof barrier, for jumping up to go to toilet, or just walking around is great.
I’m trying to talk my husband into a motorhome or a travel trailer. I want to travel. We have three dogs so we can’t just take off and go on vacation. But with a trailer or motorhome we can still travel. I guess it will be sometime next year when we get our truck paid off. Then we’re getting something I can drive. And that can pull a trailer I guess. He doesn’t know that part. But I’m determined to get out of this house and go somewhere, with the dogs.
I made myself a foot hammock 8 years ago and have used it on 30 plus long haul fights. I have not had swollen feet since. I am short and my legs go numb in airline seats. No one has ever stop me using it. When your feet are out of the hammock is really not in the way.
Amazon sells a 5 pack of the luggage tags that I believe are identical for the same price as the ones you have. They come in 5 bright colors in one pack.
I tried the foot rest last month on a long flight, it wasn't that practical. It was more of an inconvenience carrying it around. I think the same will be with the pillow/blanket bag. Traveling comfortable is important but having to carry with all these items is an inconvenience and you are tired on your way back, you regret taking them or just feel like throwing them away 😅
The dangling footrest is for people who retain water. Water retention can actually be really dangerous for people with certain health conditions not to mention unattractive to have ankles the size of water balloons when you get off the plane! I don’t why the change in altitude swells certain people up - but it does!
I have to wear compression knee highs…I’m one of those people whose feet swell….they are very comfortable…and leave your legs feeling rested…a foot swing would not do it for me…
Swelling in gut, ie bloated stomach, (and uterus in women) is due to cabin pressure changes in during ascent and descent. Certain foods can exacerbate it. You can notice it with plastic bottles on board, if you squeeze it slightly then close it, it will expand to full size after take off, when opening it you can hear a hiss as you open the seal. Within the gut it it can fill with the gas that naturally occurs from digestion. It can also make the gut a little more sluggish It usually dissipates within 24 hours. Cabin crew, suffer quite badly with this if they are flying long haul (as generally fly at higher altitudes) as they don’t always get a suitable time frame for bloating to subside before flying again. Peppermint capsules or peppermint tea, is a cabin crew trick. It increases gut motility, so the body is able to move the gas out more effectively. (lol just stay somewhere private if you have a big build up and stomach cramps, as you will pass a lot of gas) I was told about it, by a pharmacist about six months into my cabin crew career, when I was getting severe stomach cramps and had gone from a size 8 to a size 12 in my waistband (size 4 to size 8 US). After about four days of drinking 2-3 cups a day, I wasn’t decent to be around anyone for 48 hours. After that I used to drink 1-2 cups a week to maintain gut motility. I flew for 13 years then became a nurse. Swelling in the legs, is due to immobility and being unable to stretch legs out (unless cardiac problems in which case immobility combined with increased fluid intake can cause oedema. The leg rests help by supporting the legs in a straighter position allowing better circulation. Getting up a walking about can significantly help. Obviously the lather someone is, with their legs, the less space they have to move their legs. As I specialised in endoscopy after a few years, understood properly why the gut expanded, and why peppermint helped there. Compression stockings and massaging legs can help alleviate the pain some experience. I have an old leg/knee injury from a car accident. Not being able to stretch my legs out for anything longer than an hour can cause me severe pain. I’m interested to find out if the footrest may help me.
I just got back from a trip where I wore shorts to travel in. Let me just say, "Don't wear shorts on airplanes. Not because of the air temp, but because you will stick to the seat! Yuk!" I will definitely get some of those foldable hangers! I usually pack some, but these will be a much better option!

And that can pull a trailer I guess. He doesn’t know that part. But I’m determined to get out of this house and go somewhere, with the dogs.
Baggy pants tent to touch the floor, especially if one HAS to sit on a toilet. Slightly snug around the ankles is best. Don’t ask how I know this…🤦🏽♀️
For item 10 alternative. I have always been using scotch tape for my toiletries and it has never leaked.
Hi Shea! Great video! Please can you relink the wide makeup bag? It keeps going to the zipper locks. Ps love your videos!
Ahhh sorry about that...just fixed!!!

Hey Shea. I have the luggage tags in bright orange and they're great. FYI. The flap for the toilet seat cover goes to the front.
The dangling footrest is for people who retain water. Water retention can actually be really dangerous for people with certain health conditions not to mention unattractive to have ankles the size of water balloons when you get off the plane! I don’t why the change in altitude swells certain people up - but it does!
I have to wear compression knee highs…I’m one of those people whose feet swell….they are very comfortable…and leave your legs feeling rested…a foot swing would not do it for me…
it's not the altitude, it's the cabin pressure
I have to wear compression tights not even the knee version works
Have you had tsa issues with those toiletry bags?
I just got back from a trip where I wore shorts to travel in. Let me just say, "Don't wear shorts on airplanes. Not because of the air temp, but because you will stick to the seat! Yuk!"
I will definitely get some of those foldable hangers! I usually pack some, but these will be a much better option!
What a great selection, thanks Shea xx😊
Thank you for watching!:)
