ibrahim fletcher I can’t answer that. But I can tell you this, if it’s approached in the typical “more is better” mindset, it could lead to injury for any age group. Use your judgment. Listen to the athlete.
Eric Herrmann It wouldn’t hurt. But this is intended to address the demands of the Centers position, specifically. I guess you could wear wrestling shoes for sprint training, but they’re made for a specific purpose. Thank you
@@LBentleyOlinePerformance Thank you for the reply!!! I was thinking of younger athletes that don't have a left or right side yet. (Or could be center as well)
Eric Herrmann ahhhhhh, got you! Yes, absolutely. Posture is everything, especially at that age. Appreciate you clarifying! Gave me an opportunity to answer you more effectively. Thank you!
For center position, is it alright if I have one of my feet farther than the other under center, like a tackle stance on pass pro. But my other foot is like 1 or 2 inches farther up than my other.
I’m going to be a freshman next year and I’m going out for center. I’ve done middle school tackle football but there is still a lot different between HS and MS. What are your best tips? My weakest part right now is pass blocking.
@@parraonios5756 You’ll be fine just keep working hard im only 5’10 200 and i was named first team all-league and second team all-county and i have a bunch if college lineman on my team. My brother is a 5’8 185 linebacker who got all-region as a junior. Just work hard and play like an absolute animal. No fear.
Would a freshmen in high school be physically developed enough to do this? I would like to do this but don't want anyone to get hurt.

Would it be beneficial to have this drill done by all OL instead of just centers?

Thank You for including women as players in your terminology. We play too and its awesome that you respect that. Thanks again. :)

JayDehFunnehBaller Perfectly ok. 👍🏾
Do you have a suggestion if you don't have people to hold the bands?
Great video.....again
Coach Bumpers 🙌🏾! Thank you! Let us know if there’s anything specific you’d like to see.
You're welcome.

For me it’s getting a hit on the nose before I start kick stepping. It doesn’t allow him to get as much momentum.
Do you have any advice for an undersize center that has to rely mainly on firing out fast while snapping the ball?
Man I have been having the same problem the only tip I have is snapping is the first priority worry about the lineman next
I’m having the same problem I’m not starting center but I’m second team center and I really don’t have size.
work on chop blocking of it’s a 1v1 and you’re outsized and chip blocking as often as you can
