I believe the entire world should help to preserve this as in my opinion, the best place to visit on earth. It has a combination of glaciers, hot springs, just pure beauty unimaginable by any person. It's so surreal, so, amazing. This is a place I would consider living here one day. It looks so amazing, I know I'm only 15 but I'm saving money to visit this place one day, maybe try to be a foreign exchange student for somewhere in Europe. And I can say after page after page I read about it, it is where I hope one day I can visit.

Iceland is such a beautiful destination, last year I visited here with my buddies and rent a car from Avis to explore it. It is one of the best destinations in the world to visit. It is one of the best trips of my life.
Okay, this is coming from an icelandic person. Please, please, PLEASE be careful while driving on icelandic roads. They are really dangerous and sadly way to many foreigners get involved in car crashes. A few tips, our sheep roam free during the summer until september and they WILL be on the road, crossing them or just chilling and not giving a fu*k. Also Iceland isn’t called Iceland for nothing, the weather can change so quickly in just a matter of minutes. NEVER go unprepared on the highlands, do not go driving that rented yaris and think that you can cross rivers and go over mountains. Last, icelanders can be a bit of a jerks when it comes to driving but if you see horses don’t park at the middle of the road, make sure that cars have plenty of space to pass by you in both directions, and if that isn’t possible just keep on going, i promise you will see more horses. Please be kind to our nature, if not you can get some very high and expensive fine, respect the signs and have fun! Sorry for the long post and most importantly, enjoy your stay in Iceland❤️
Birta Dögg I went and it was the best Experience of my life but I do agree with you with the driving. If it wasn’t for Google earth out of nowhere, the roads are completely turned white and you couldn’t see more than 1 foot in front of you. There were no guard rails ... illicit almost 10 four minutes and I was lucky enough to have one person driving in front of me so I can see the red lights barely...I went in July and for the most part it was DAY the whole time and I still Ran into this type of weather. Please be careful and be aware of your surroundings. But it is the most beautiful place I have ever seen in my entire life. Summer is a time when most tourists coming here, because of the weather.. well our summers may by disappointng for some folks as summers here are not very hot. Autumn, is also nice, and prices are lower as I've heard... Autumn also can be nice... same goes for the spring... It all depends on what do you like to do and see. For example I know some Northern Lights fans who came here in the Aurora season which is Mmm... September to April..... Winter is a right time for some folks as summer for some others. Our languages are not that different :) I've got some cousins in Norway, and they speak Norwegian only, and we do understand each other (sometimes we're using English).

Winter in iceland brings out a completely new side of the country. The glaciers turn vivid blue and there are things that can only be done in winter. It's worth a 2nd trip if you have already been in Spring, summer or Fall. As good as this Video is there is so much more to see and explore than can be put into any one video. I went ti iceland a few years ago. Went to all the places in the golden circle as well as the waterfall you go behind, the blue lagoon, skogafoss, the black beach and Reykjavik. It was an amazing trip and I hope to go to iceland again someday.

What a great place. I also met a lot of great people there and most of which are still my good, loyal friends. I love traveling. Some of my favorite memories are from this place. The skies were especially beautiful at night. I felt a strong sense of calm and inner peace, even more than before, while I was there, that has stayed with me to this day. It may not look like much of a place for city dwellers like me, but it’s a lovely break from the city when you want or need it!

Are the roads dangerous or really high without any barriers? We took a roadtrip out to Yosemite a while back and were shocked there were no barriers between us and the cliff edge. I want to plan a trip to Iceland but am afraid this may be the case there as well.

What a great place. I also met a lot of great people there and most of which are still my good, loyal friends. I love traveling. Some of my favorite memories are from this place. The skies were especially beautiful at night. I felt a strong sense of calm and inner peace, even more than before, while I was there, that has stayed with me to this day. It may not look like much of a place for city dwellers like me, but it’s a lovely break from the city when you want or need it!

Are the roads dangerous or really high without any barriers? We took a roadtrip out to Yosemite a while back and were shocked there were no barriers between us and the cliff edge. I want to plan a trip to Iceland but am afraid this may be the case there as well.
