Is there a lot that is still closed from the east troublesome fire? Is it worth visiting right now?
@@tpfrk8977 it’s worth visiting the east side for winter recreation; some of the park is closed due to the ETF (Cameron Peak Division) as well as the Cameron Peak Fire, but there’s still a lot open (most hiking trails are like normal). I’ve gone several times this winter and it’s gorgeous! Some of the places that are closed include beaver meadows & moraine park.

It is. What's crazy is just a 3-5 hour drive and you're in the desert. You go from mountains with rivers, to deserts with arches in a short distance.
Last year, I finally made it to Rocky Mountain National Park for the first time. I was a bit hesitant because I had heard that it gets crazy busy, but I’m so glad that didn’t deter me! Not only was the hiking absolutely epic, we scored last minute campsite reservations, and found the crowds on the trails to be quite manageable, with a few caveats.
We ended up staying more than 10 days, hiking as much as could and had a fanastic time.
Could you suggest for the stay, apart from campsite as we are flying from California. Thanks

Thank you for this video. Rocky Mountain Park is gorgeous. I've crossed over the Continental Divide once when my Mother and I were traveling West. Unfortunately I've forgotten where we were going at the time, as it's been over 40 years ago. But the Rocky Mountains are great. I do remember that we went from Truth or Consequences New Mexico to Silver City New Mexico. It was very slow driving because of the many turns on the road we took. We stopped at a pullover where there was a pipe sticking out of the ground with water spewing out and we tasted that water which was the best and coldest we ever drank. There was even snow on the ground among the trees as it was in March and we were on our way to California, back in 1979. It seemed like every turn of the road the rocks were different colors. I wanted to stop but Mom wouldn't let me as she was afraid of the narrow road. That was the best vacation I can remember. God bless.
I was lucky enough to visit this place in February this year (right before the COVID lockdown). The view is completely different in winter. All the lakes were rock solid and people were walking on top of them. It was so much fun

@@satyamsingh4653 since I heard the accommodations close to national park are more expensive, I booked a motel in Boulder, a town located between downtown Denver and Rocky Mountain national park. The price is reasonable. It is less than one hour to national park and there are many options. I had a rental car.
@@xihuantiyu how about near the grand lake entrance on west side ? There is a small town is that too, expensive?

Don't they believe in guard rails up there on the side of the road? I was there in Rocky National Park, Estes Park in the summer of 1974 right after graduating from high school and my first time away from home by myself. Had a summer job with the park service by making sure the trails were cleaned and safe for hiking. I worked with a crew of five and worked 10 days with 4 days off and hiked about 12 miles a day and then making camp. Sometimes people from our barracks would bring us some beers from town and kept them in the snow to keep them cold. Remember one time, a buddy and myself hitch hiked to Denver to see a concert. Johnny Winter, I think. Drink age was 18 back then. 3.2.. Anyway, I live in Northern, Virginia now. Would like to go back. So many memories of that summer. Partied more than we worked as I recall.
I baking on a cool summer's eve, strumming my guitar in cgcegc tuning, so sweet a maple swell. About to roll a nice spliff and lie on a hill behind some trees. There's a lot of shit in this world we've tried to build, but so many beautiful things still stand today. I'll dedicate my life to showing others a way of living whenever I can, which sings to the tuning of the beauty and love that is truly life. A being born into this universe to love a universe all it can. I love to meet people who feel the same, and I love to see others brighten their day with a fresh air of waking life, as they continue on their way, as we all do, a living uncertainty. God, force, whisper on the winds, I hope we can steer us all away from the decadence and decay that tries so hard to occupy our minds, so we may get a chance to lay on the paths of well loved beings, and get to see the sun again, rise and set on a cherished land, every day until the sun that we've appreciated the warmth of for so many years carries on its way to another state.

GREAT video coverage. I was born& raised in the Rocky Mountains of Montana, many a moon ago. I am left with a deteriorating hearing, turning 84 this yr. This brought back many memories Thank you.
But in you production/ editing ... due a BIG favor for old codgers like me and DECREASE the volume level of your background music which is more of a distraction and just drowns out the audio of the person specking. When I increase my volume to hear the speaker better, all that effectively resulted was the music got even louder. NOT just this one but 90% of any presentation as this.
EXCELLENT video presentation, please make accompanying music volume reduction of future compositions.

RMNP is a beautiful place, but it has become crowded and now you need to schedule a reservation for your time to arrive at the park. Just check it out and make sure you have a reservation just to get in so you don't foul up an otherwise great trip.
My second favorite place in Colorado after Twin Lakes near Leadville. Proud Colorado native here. A ColoradOAN, not ColoradAN.
Hey guys, I went to the Rockies in December, but now I’m planning to revisit this august to see it green and without the snow. But I’m actually just passing through, the main trip is to Yellowstone. Anybody know if it’s possible for me to enjoy a good handful of attractions in the park in a day?
