Gorgeous. But why would you mix orange in with blue and red into green? These are opposite of the color wheel so they cancel each other out causing the color to muddy out. And why add white when your cup is white and then you go back over the white drops you just added with a bright color?
Love these colors so much!!! 🤩👌💯👏👏👏💯 I know I tell ya in other videos but I just love to put your videos on when I’m creating my stuff and listen to ya talking - it’s like having an artsy friend (who doesn’t mind if I zone out a little 😂😂) .. & I learn a ton from you. Of course I LIKE every video & I’m starting over bc I’ve been thru the list but now I have a different comprehension so it’s great to listen & repeat. Thanks for sharing your beautiful art 🌹🌹🌹
Gorgeous. Two questions. 1. Do you put anything on top of it before the next coat besides the vinyl? 2. Do you sand it before the next coat or put it on. 4-6 hours so you dont have to sand?
Just a friendly tip, latex or vinyl gloves are not as chemically resistant as Nitrile gloves when using epoxy. I have eczema also and I am very sensitive to epoxy and have to use Nitrile gloves.
I actually just read about the nitrile over latex last week. I haven’t had epoxy or skin issues yet with the vinyl but plan to try nitrile on my next box. That’s good to hear that it actually has a noticeable difference for you, I have some eczema as well! I’d love to hear how your next cup turns out! 🥰
If you don't like the say your tumbler turned out, after the epoxy dried, can you just mix up a whole new batch of epoxy and start over on top of your first layer? Or can it be sanded down like a glitter tumbler can? Which would be best?
Thank you!! 🥰 Is it dry and you can see the base coat underneath? Like a white dot? What I’ve done in the past for that is get ink on a Q-tip or my gloved finger and dab it to blend it.
Hello thank you for the tutorial. My supplies are coming in as we speak and I'm going to give it a try. The ones that you showed on the other rack are those still drying and you just leave upside down to dry?
I set them aside to cure completely (or enough before the next step). Sometimes it’s days, sometimes it’s weeks. 😆 the cups do not have to turn the entire cure time, just until it has set up and not move. I usually let mine turn for about 4 hours or so.
These cups are GORGEOUS!! I've been doing different versions of this for a while now, but lately when I do this, I get these weird spots where it's like the epoxy just decides it doesn't want to be anymore once I've put the alcohol ink on. I'm thinking it must be an issue of either too much ink or too much epoxy. Have you had this issue before? Generally I can just epoxy it a second time and no one notices because the black spray paint underneath masks it and the hole fills with the 2nd layer on epoxy. But it's kinda irritating when you're working and random holes appear in the middle of your art 😭
I generally only touch them with bare hands for a moment inbetween the dried spray paint stage and epoxy stage. I guess that's enough to do it though! Thank you! I'll try that out and see if it works! 💜
my white ink always blobs up when added on why think it is old or something is not it suppose to have a shaker thing in it like the gold does i shake it so much so i am lost why
It came from Frans glitter and more. I love everything I’ve bought from her and she’s a sweetheart! Here’s a link to it: www.fransglitterandmore.com/products/graffiti?_pos=1&_sid=61847b35d&_ss=r
I started off with using vinyl gloves mostly. But I started reading about how it can allow the chemicals to leech through. I have switched to nitrile gloves now. It’s recommended to wear gloves for sure and face protection as well.
Thank you! My mom bought it off Groupon. It was maybe may/June so they might still have them! I’ll warn you though: it was only pretty for about 2 or 3 months and rubbed right off. I ended up removing the rest of the print with alcohol.
love it i have a question so can u use blue or pink any other color for base color and not just white
You sure can! Just keep in mind how it might change what inks you use.

This was a looooong time ago, I have no answers. 😂 one of my first few ink swirls.
Those colors are so vibrant. Very pretty.
Thank you!!

I like a layer of epoxy before vinyl. A lot of the process is just personal preference. 😂 I only sand between if it has been a few days.
Great tutorial, I've been hesitant to try this method but I'm gonna give it a shot

Beautiful cup❣️ I made my first one today but I’m going to try again with your method for sure! I really like this! Thank you for this video!
I love this tumbler!!

Too many layers of epoxy could make it heavy. I’d go with stripping and starting over.
Great tutorial--new to tumblers but planning to try this method! Thanks!
Good luck! I’d love to hear how it turns out!
Great tutorial! Thanks for all the information you provided.
Beautiful cup, have a couple of dry spots on my cup, don't want to strip it, what do I need to do? thank u.

I’m almost certain those spots are caused by oils on the cup. Since I stopped handling them bare handed, I rarely get them! I got them all the time!

Thanks for responding btw! 💜💜💜
Super pretty!! Can you put the colors of the inks in your description?
Sure will! I used piñata brand: Baja blue, senorita magenta, passion purple, calabaza orange, and white. Tim Holtz Botanical for the green.
Absolutely beautiful!
my white ink always blobs up when added on why think it is old or something is not it suppose to have a shaker thing in it like the gold does i shake it so much so i am lost why
My white does not have anything it in to mix it. You could possibly be shaking so much that it is getting too bubbly.
You mentioned graffiti glitter... Who is that by?
It came from Frans glitter and more. I love everything I’ve bought from her and she’s a sweetheart! Here’s a link to it: www.fransglitterandmore.com/products/graffiti?_pos=1&_sid=61847b35d&_ss=r

The Purple Stitch Thank you
Love your videos. Can you tell me where you got your watch band and name of it? Thank you

Thank you so very much for allowing me into the Facebook group... I absolutely love watching you do the alcohol inks
