You'd lose a smidge of space, but I'd have suggested you put a washer or two under the bottom as a shim when you glue it up. that way you'd have far less contact and help it slider more smoothly
Thanks, yes I did consider that bit they’ll never bear any kind of real weight, and they run pretty smoothly now, more so if I get a coat of wax on them! 👍
