I do not see category when importing a image in the base parameters section, I am following the tutorial step by step but this option seems to not appear?, All the other option do appear however?
AI recognition of materials has become more accurate, which is a huge update! The previous AI intelligent recognition was actually relatively single, this time it will completely change! I hope to support more recognition of different types of materials in the future, and finally look forward to the release of a new version!
The tiling feature feels dated in its tool design philosophy. I wish the Substance team would consider AI inpainting to help create border edge tiling to help with more complex image inputs that aren't easy patterns. I hope the tiling feature eventually allows you to make completely non-tiling input images into AI inpainted tileable patterns. THAT would be game-changing. The currently available method of fading edges to haphazardly blend them feels super dated in its design. Imagine being able to input a photo of a complex cobblestone with no tiling edges and being able to have AI inpaint the edges to make it perfectly tileable. The technology already exists. Please implement it.
I’ve tiled a lot of different material. AI is not the best solution for all the materials. Structural material needs to be realign before tiling anyway (perspective transform, warp transform, paint warp).
i want to learn deeper about the new tool, is there a published paper that provides all the tech details of "carbon"(im not sure if it's this name)? thx for your reply😍
its funny, last summer, i was walking down the street and i saw that texture on the ground and thought "I am gonna take a picture of that yellow pavement and make a material, but that was before i got sampler and made my PBR materials though blender, inkscape/ photoshop, which is lots of work; so i never got around to it 🤣
Same over here, every new feature on any of the Substance Suite updates (Stager, Designer, Sampler or Painter) it’s never clear what works where. Just found on one of the documentation pages, regarding Bitmap To Material, it does say that it is explicitly only Windows or Linux, and strictly NVidia cards… and maybe not all NVidia cards as it says that if the feature doesn’t appear to update NVidia graphics drivers.
We need the ability to import 3D Characters so it can process several maps at the same time without breaking continuity between materials, is this not already possible? It would benefit creating maps for skin pores, fur etc Even body bark, everyone needs body bark.
Hi here! If you need any advice on that, come on down to the Forum & ask our experts about it. Let’s have a conversation here: [adobe.ly/47x1Vli] ^Rohan
I'm trying to make a pizza material and the closest option is "organic", but the result is worse, than in the previous version. Please add the "other" or "misc" option with the previous algorithm.
Does this update make AI powered Image to Material hardware agnostic? When I last used it, it only worked on Nvidia and was told it would eventually work on all hardware.
Hi, This tutorial is showcasing how to use Image to Material. This tool takes an image as an input and creates a 3D material. The material is then used to apply to 3D models.
Hi there, thanks for reaching out. Yes, the AI needs an online internet connection. I am sorry, but we do not have perpetual licenses anymore. Here is the link to our website with plans and pricing: www.adobe.com/creativecloud/plans.html. Please feel free to reach out. Thanks, ^Sam
Is it any better than previous one really? I had the last Steam version and uninstalled it because never been able to get anything as crisp and good looking as typical photogrammetry. Normal maps was always a bit blurry , features shape Ai recognizes was always a bit unspecific and soft . Shadow removal basically non existing . Content aware just hanged it instantly, never working really. Tried it few weekends and been back to Designer and Photoshop . Should I give it another try? This tiny 10x10cm artificial material is not very informative demonstration really.
How do you light up how do you make selection such things we dont see. you are doing things without to tell or show us small things but I don't have chance. this is beginner show us all
Does anyone know why these functions are so slow in the project? It's really really slow. In the video it takes moments. I have a powerful hardware. Sampler version 4.2.1.
Hello, anybody who knows where to get image material that high-quality, HD or looks clean enough to use as image to bitmap in substance ? Sometimes searching by Google doesn’t come as best solution image
Ur literally commenting this on an update video tho 😂 ngl Idk how u say this but u have this update plus the new painter and designer curves updates within the last few months.. like??
i could listen to this guy talk all day.
Sampler is absolute madness! 🔥🤯
Interesting, i just started using sampler and i am enjoying it
never used sampler, but this tiling feature looks promising
Holy potatoes! Finally I made a good normal map for my texture in 5 minutes :) Thank you!
Nice! Happy to help :)
Amazing! I thought this software was going to fade into oblivion.

same with me
how do I save a material so that its appears in the library? a simple basic tutorial is missing?

Content Aware Fill is already implemented in Sampler 😉
@@guillaumemeyer4112 does it seamlessly tile from edge to edge?

2:15 in 2d map viewport you have the bitmap repeting in all sides. how to preview the tile like that?
Can't wait to try !
When can we try?
@@UnchartedWorlds just waiting the update on the Adobe portal

Es genial!!!!!
looks great!
is it possible to assign metalness to specific areas like little sequins over a tule? I couldn't find any explanations about it
I can't find categoryies on my side. Mac M2
:/
B2M seems to work, but ai powered not - all chancels just grey and no color Chanel…

Designer, Modeler and Painter are all available on steam, but this isn't for some reason.
I'm not seeing the "Category" parm when i go img to material...?
Could you make a more detailed tutorial about seamless tiling please?

That would infinitely more amazing if it could produce a procedural tile of the material with no tiling effect.

I have also tested this pizza material and the effect is very poor
Excited

But can you view on a custom mesh?.... Do I still have to import my texture set into painter to view on my mesh? This is the adobe way...
which version is this?
why the clone stamp oanything related to pain works on Sampler I haven't get a proper solution so far
That's amazing!
It is a pity that the Substance 3D Sampler can't work with 8k textures if Image to Material choosen

Does the AI need online connection, is it improving over time or is it offline? What if I buy the steam version, can I use this forever?

I always get a black image and it saying: "Failed to compute."
It seems not to support opacity mask. Imported a png and it didn't work.

great, but please , lower your prices on Adobe, it's radiculous i have to pay for ADobe products and separetly Substance 3D softwares
and TBH when Adobe consumes Substance softwares there is significant lack of development and updates and fixes
