- In this video, I'm going to walk you through the process of creating the 3D mesh of a plant from just a few photographs taken with a phone camera. This is a very simple and automated process that can be applied to virtually any object using Substance 3D Sampler.

Hi Pablo - your tutorial is a fantastic resource for the 3D community, and we've added it to a playlist on our channel so others can learn from you!
Awesome, thank you!
Wow loved it my friend! To see the 3d Sampler was great, and is was a great surprise to see the Adobe 3D Stager in action! Looks like a nice replacement to Marmoset for making quick testing renders!
Hey, great tutorial really helpful. When I try to recreate this in Substance there is no mesh reconstruction phase, I haven't managed to create anything at all useable and have tried multiple cameras, parameters, lighting conditions and experimented with the amount of photos I am using. Do you have any idea why there would be no mesh reconstruction phase? In the sub-window I just have dataset/alignment & post-process.
Excelente. Thanks!
can you have multiple photo groups i.e. if you had different cameras on a tripod of different resolutions?
Do you think that I could achieve similiar results with an iPhone 14?
tanks fot tutorials🙏🙏🙏🙏
You're welcome 😊
Great video. I have a question, I would like to do this process to my College's mascot, is it possible? And then I would like to animate the asset, is that a possibility?
anything is possible but you'll need a different set of software and a few more steps in the process after you have the object scanned to be able to animate it and all that
would you be able to do this with a tshirt that someone is wearing? will it detect their head/body or only the shirt?
Yeah it will detect the body and head. You can just scan a head following the steps
Hi, would I be wasting my time if I want to try this with jewelry pieces? - I've scanned a few pieces and it doesn't look realistic at all, it's very lumpy and muddy when it's processed.
humm yeah I don't think if would work as well because of all the reflection and refractions that usually are present in a piece of Jewelry. unless you have a very controlled environment I don't thing it would work
How it will be with heads? Did you test it already? 😁
Good question. I'm curious about that too.
yeah I'll try that and see how it goes
Hey i need help.
I wanna do photogrammetry inside my room.
What kind of lights setup do i need?
In my experienced, this technique works well when you can go around an object. If you want to do something indoors, I'd suggest you aim for a very diffused light.
@ yes that's why I'm asking.
Can u name those kind of lights names and other equipment names please?
vaya crack
🙏🙏
interesting, Sampler is an additional fee to the regular full adobe subscription.
yeah all the 3D tools are (painter, designer, etc)
that's why you just use blender
You could share the assets (photos) so we could replicate the steps 1by1 to learn better but thanks anyways. This was useful (after tons of useless videos.)
