Beautiful part of the country . Days like that you remember. Just being out there is rewarding. I have just got back in to detecting after a very long lay of . Equinox 800 is just awesome . 3 weeks in found 3 silver hammered. Few medieval piece's. Musket balls etc . Lots of lead. Lol . Enjoyed your video . Put a smile on my face . Thankyou . Me I am up early tom . Out near Ipswich Roman country . Come rain or shine I will be out all day . Thanks again . I will keep watching . 👍
Hi David, yes the Equinox is a brilliant machine and if there's something in the ground it'll find it. Well done with your hammered coins, they're a rarity for me. Have a great Christmas and I hope you had a good detecting session. 🙂
Andy, that double bleep is the equinox double D coils seeing the item very shallow. If you you lift coil up a few inches the double bleep should disappear.
The multiple sound you got indicated multiple targets. I got one like that and pulled up 3 one pound coins. So always take all targets out and recheck the hole. The lead pencil looks oldish but could have been used by military for marking clothes. Best to get PAS to look at it. Good video work. Cheers
Hi Andy, another cracking video, I sometimes think that with the amount of buttons we find our forefathers clothes must have been falling off them with frightening regularity! lol
first thing u found reminders me of a leather punch tool, the second item with the bird looks like a lipstick top that smashed flat i have found similar before, the lead disc could be a seal they used to mark transportation of goods. Just few guesses, but in metal detecting i think researching finds is just another fun part of the hobby. New viewer love the vid spring time swing time baby
Hi Rich, thanks very much buddy and I appreciate the info too! I totally agree about the research, I think that's the reason why I like finding artifacts more than coins. All the best, Andy. :)
I know this video was from last year but @ 2:35, the target you were looking for was right at the tip of the pin pointer on the top of the plug. You even touched it with the pin pointer. It looks to be a coin. Then you pulled the plug back, moving the coin away. I don't know if you re-scanned the hole afterward. If not, you would have recovered it. There may have been multiple targets in that hole, like that pellet.
Terra Englandia - Hello T.E. Yea, It’s a little hard to see, but at the top off the plug, in the muddy part, your pin pointer goes off and you actually pushed it away with your pin pointer. Then you touched it with your gloves and pulled back the plug. Maybe it was or maybe it wasn’t a coin. Just thought if that is a place you frequent, you can try that spot again. Could be a hammie. I have a Nox 600. Great machine.
@@luisvillarreal5262 Thanks Luis, I do appreciate you taking the time to share the info. I think that field is long grass at the moment (I'll have to re-watch the video), but due for cutting this month. If it is the field that I'm thinking of, I've visited it lots of times since, as it's been by far my best field to detect on. Sadly I think I may need to wait until the land gets ploughed again, I think it may be on a 5 or 7 year cycle. All the best.
Hi Andy , that lead pointy thing is interesting , don't know what it is though ? , maybe Holly knows LOL , and the round lead disc with the design could be a medieval seal ! nice one , i would have been as happy as Larry with that mate , and the item at 19.30 is part of a buckle my friend , i think you had some good finds !! , because the item at 22.16 could be what's left of a spindle whorl , enjoyed it pal , ATB GL & HH Rob .
Hi Ryan, at the moment I'm using Multi-frequency, Field 1, Iron Bias 0, the Recovery Speed varies on the type of ground. If it's a rocky/stoney field, I'll tend to use a higher recovery speed, perhaps 5 upwards. If it's a fairly quiet field, perhaps where the finds may be deep, then I'll lower the recovery speed to around 3. It really does depend on the ground though. Cheers ;)
Thanks Rick, I am pleased with the Token, the Stylus too. I haven't been able to find one like it on the PAS site, I'm guessing that it may not be very old?
Terra Englandia you should get it. It makes a huge difference if you are in trashy places. Also easier to pinpoint. The 11 inch coil will go a little deeper though. But the 6” will find smaller targets. If you want to use the 800 for gold nugget hunting it’s a necessity.
The find you get in the video at 20.26 time. I have some think that look exactly like it I’ll send a picture and has little drawn I g on it was plated I believe if you send me your email comment with you email I’ll send tit to you cheers

Great day out, let me know your email address, I'll show you the stylus I found recently, I'm hoping Roman but they used them in medieval period also, well done
Hi buddy, I won't put my own email on here, just in case, but if you can send a n email to this temp address, I'll reply with my own email. terraenglandia@guerrillamail.info I think the temporary email is only open for one hour, so if you're not able to email me just yet, comment later and I'll set it up again.

@@TerraBritannia not a problem I'm just glad you received it
I think the tube thing you found with the bird emblem embossing is the top protective cap that goes over the cork of a wine bottle.
Thanks Milo :)

They can be a real pain can't they? You just have to dig them though . . . the same goes for shotties too . . . .hate those things ;)
@@TerraBritannia A very late reply, but it's called shoddy.
Farmers used to cover their fields with old clothes as a form of fertiliser
