You could argue that she could’ve been released on parole, but chose to remain on temple grounds to be far removed from the rest of society and everyone’s lives (kinda like an indefinite house arrest).
But it’s also an Ace Attorney game and she could’ve just been erased from existence at the start of the next case.

Ehh anyway, it is rather sad how we can’t even acknowledge Iris in future games. I’m still new to the series, but would it really hurt for us to see a letter in a drawer from her somewhere to Phoenix? Don’t even have to read it, just something that tells us she did something after prison and she sent a letter to Phoenix.
Also, geez Godot isn’t shown well here? Is this really that bad for him? Uhh he could of thought that Phoenix wouldn’t defend Iris well and would reveal things at last minute (why doesn’t the bad ending show that, because it would spoil how he’s connected to this).

TBh, I seriously doubt that Lana, Iris and even Godot got long sentences. Adrian committed a simillar crime and she was out within a year. Lana was being blackmailed, Godot did it to save Maya's life and Iris only really moved the body.
It's more likely that they had nothing left to do with those characters as their character arcs were over. Godot/Diego could probably still be a practicing lawyer given as Phoenix managed to return after getting busted as well.

Considering real world murder accomplices honestly Iris is lucky most murder accomplices get life in prison or death sentence knowing she didn’t help in the murder and only covered up the body she would most likely get a 56 year sentence if Iris gets a lawyer she may be able to reduce it to 42 seeing other murder accomplices Iris is lucky to get out of this one with only a 40-60 year sentence if we are speaking the lightest punishment

Well there's actually no way Iris could've prove Godot was the murderer or even that he was there. It's even plausibile that he contacted her in a way she didn't know who it was.
Besides it's not the wound of the knife the only proof required to establish that, it's also Maya's testimony and the knife itself.

If they didn’t bridge to the turnabout wouldn’t exist cos it’s planned by Morgan and Adrian Andrews wouldn’t be in case 2 cos then you’d know she’s innocent in 2-4. Also Phoenix believes for the first half of JFA that Franziska wants revenge for him arresting Manfred and that’s a big game one spoiler and in SoJ there’s a poster with Thalassa Gramarye on it and in AJAA they don’t show you a picture of her till the finale so u don’t realise she’s Lamiroir till case 4 and most importantly in AAI2 there’s a whole ass DL6 prequel case, something they would not have made if they didn’t want to risk spoiling the previous games
Tldr: your wrong, they spoil it all the time

It depends if you are playing a game written before or after Apollo Justice. Before, they will make strong allusions to previous cases (example: 4-2 referencing 1-5 during the investigation). Afterwards? A wink and a head tilt. That's why Klavier in 5-3 doesn't show any development, and why in 6-4 Blackquill kind of just ... exists? It's lame, but there aren't too many references to other cases in games 5, 6, I1, and I2.

@@0rangeeccentric no the reason Klavier shows no development is cos they stupidly decided to reboot the series in AA5 and erase everything from AA4 and the reason for no reference to AA5 in AA6 is because blackquill doesn’t fit anywhere since he’s not directly related to Apollo’s story and they decided to forget the reboot thing and make it a sequel to AA4 (like seriously it references AA4 so much and not 5 so they clearly trying to forget that game lol) Trust me I have been rewriting AA5 and slightly modifying 6 so I know all the story details by heart at this point…(also the concept art for sad Apollo has some that look like he’s wearing Dhurke and concept Dhurke’s stuff instead of clays so make of that what you will)

@@myboatforacar Is it though? Like stolen and recipe are alright from a story and characters point of view but actually playing them can be kinda annoying at times. Memories is a nightmare. I like the part where Edgeworth faints in bridge but I feel like the whole Dahlia being a Fey and having a secret twin thing is kinda convoluted and kind of like the backstory someone’s oc might have (couldn’t she just help Morgan cos they both hate Mia or something or just not be in that case?) Bikini is great tho. Beginnings is carried by Grossberg. The case itself is a bit boring and the fact that Dahlia’s terrible attempts at manipulation actually work infuriates me (Ik the judge is a simp but he’s usually not that bad). Pheenie I have mixed feelings about because he is funny but I think they should’ve used a different character (possibly new or just Larry) because that ain’t Phoenix Wright. I understand he’s in love but nine year old Phoenix was way more intelligent than that dumbass.
Meanwhile JFA has Reunion and Farewell, which are both amazing like Phoenix finally gets called out for his dumb hero complex thing AND the psychelocks aren’t annoying and actually make sense?!! Hallelujah!
(Seriously the only time they’re used well outside of JFA is AJAA) Jokes aside, reunion is one of the best cases in the series, it’s honestly very relaxing to play and is probably my most replayed case in the first trilogy.
Then we have BaNaNaS which is very clever in giving Phoenix amnesia so they can do the tutorial again and Phoenix’s dream at the beginning is a great introduction 😂. Yeah bigtop is kinda infuriating but Regina and Max are fun and it’s not the worst case in the world plus it’s the only bad one in the game so it’s forgivable.
I could go into more detail on this but I don’t want this comment to be even longer. Wouldn’t mind elaborating though, this is actually super fun for me cos I don’t usually have conversations with people in the fandom. The only hate is directed towards T&T for not having Northward, Turnabout express as a playable case (Ik the anime came out way after the game but I watched it first and was very disappointed)

Ehhhh idk, i think the easiest way to explain it for me is like the entire AA series is a show, each trilogy or whatever (idk if Apollo has 3 games in a row) is 1 season, each game in the trilogy is like... Idfk an arc?? (Something larger than an episode but shorter than the whole season. Its like the week of a month.) And the cases are episodes. And for some reason they dont want to spoil the previous seasons.

Her entire reason to exist at the end, was to justify Pheonixes' behavior for the purpose of the plot.
Plot translation:
''Hi Pheonix just like to mention here before the end of the game, you're not completely stupid, just moderately stupid, very naive, extremely oblivious and also completely incapable of comprehending obvious malicious intentions''
Which also doesn't work because he accuses people of murder every trial, managing with a miniscule quantity of evidence, despite the fact that that's not even his job in the first place, and the slightest bit of competence would get him out of trials twice as quickly, as demonstrated previously by Edgeworth.
Also I'm still fairly sure Godot could pretty easily argue he didn't do anything wrong in this one, in a way that's odd even by Ace Attorney standards, with which we can already be pretty lenient, but I don't have enough knowledge in Japanese law to be 100% sure. Still though...
