Another very entertaining dig, with perfect weather, not too hot and dry! Love the George III half crown, I only ever found a few bullhead shillings myself, so very well done. You actually outdid Mr Tweed today, so a great day for you personally. Cheers Andy
I know… I think I out did everyone that day which is a first. I like to work a section and sometimes that pays off for me but more often than none it means the good stuff is in the other section. It’s just like luck right 👍👍
Great stuff matey... Just looking at the find @ 9mins and wonder if it cud be a handle of sorts? It looks like a tiny spade handle, but perhaps a sword/large dagger handle?... 🤔🤔 (So, the 2 concave features would be for fingers, a bit like a knuckle-duster... , and the flattened end would fit against the palm... ) Cheers as always, Bobby
Hey Bobby, I thought it might have been a knuckle duster at first too ha. I recently learned that it’s the top to a barrel tap screw. I like to think they broke it off to use as a knuckle duster though 😂👍
@@OMA_MetalDetecting Ha, yes those ancients were fond o' the old k/ds hey wot?... 😅 Btw: 1st Hammered for the Deus 2 matey (now back to v0.71). a sweet little Lizzie 3p @ 1579 !! Happy Days eh?... 🙏👊

@@OMA_MetalDetecting Hey thanks 🙏 matey... Sorry, but it's only my 1st with the Deus 2 - I've had one other (last winter) with the Deus 1. Still very special tho' o' course... 🙏👊
Cheers Marty, thank you as always for watching and commenting. I’m still yet to find out what that lead thing could have been used for but it certainly gets the mind wondering doesn’t it. ATB buddy 👍👍
The solid bronze piece at around 8 minutes. I think it could be a part of a tap handle? But I could be way off. Just subscribed. Nice video 👍 I'm sure your channel will grow quickly!
Is it that they hurt you’re ears? You can get over ear ones which are great in winter as they keep you’re ears warm but they are very noise cancelling. I jet could flyby at low altitude and you wouldn’t know a thing. I’ll ask mr tweed what ones he uses and get back to you 👍👍
Hey buddy, I mainly use my Forager program with this coil to great success. If you want to check it out search “xp Deus forager” and it should take you to the video 👍👍
Thanks John, I’m still working on trying to find out what regiment it belonged too but it’s proving to be a little tricky! Did you get around to doing that site you mentioned mate? Hope you’re well 👍👍
Hello again 😀 might i ask you to take a closer look at your army cap badge? The reason being that it looks remarkably like a WW1 Army Service Corps cap badge as its hard to see on my phone. It should read ASC intertwined within the garter. Also it looks to be a solid pressing which should mean it was an economy issue from 1916 as the earlier versions had " cut outs" around and between the central letters . The back doesnt look quite right either. In the photos of the ASC badges i have the economy strike has a vertical bar for mounting on the cap but the earlier version should have two lugs on the back which accept a cotter pin to hold it in place. Would be intrigued to find out what your version is 🤔🤔😀😀👍👍 Great video btw 👍
Wow Steve, love this comment!! You seem to know you’re military stuff mate. I’d happily send you better pictures of you want to take a look for me. Drop me an email on: onlymeagain2018@gmail.com 👍👍
Would be glad to. My father was with the RASC when he enlisted in 1942, got demobbed at the end of the war, didn't enjoy civvie street so enlisted again into the Gurkha Army Service Corps and retired from service in 1969.Sadly passed away eight years ago. So being an army brat one tends to pick up a smidgeon of regimental knowledge .😵💫😵💫😂😂👍👍
Turns out it’s the top part to a barrel tap. It’s one of those that’s a complete bit rather than the one like I found in my previous video. Someone on here spotted that so all credits to them 👍👍
The piece of lead that you have found at the 6 minute mark looks like a Bullet that could possibly been shot at a tank and dropped off and since you Did find a WW1 item There.... but it's just a guess but that's how bullets look when they are flat.... and hit something that is hard and can't penetrate like a Tank and shot from a small possibility that it was from a Boat Landing from the World Wars....... and bullet's will travel a long distance before they will become unstable and Or hit something and can't penetrate it.....
The final item that you have found I believe is a rather corroded medieval kings head type belt mount , nice find! I have just discovered your channel ,thanks to West Country Clegg and I will definitely keep watching now ! Excellent channel!

We know you weren't expecting this kind of comment regarding "Craig Denny" AKA west country clegg, we are monitoring this character because of his blatant exaggerations and claims about his finds. what you dont know is this person is also trying very hard to introduce LGBTQ and drag queens into the class rooms of our very young impressionable children. Keep your vids pure you are a very good narrator and we are sure you will go far (without !!) clegg. Its unfortunate that you have already given him what he is seeking "credibility". All the best HH...John

I think the rolled lead with the initials on it is a Roman curse or wish request. Well, I heard references to such items as found before.
That would be awesome if it turned out to be Roman! It’s currently sat on my windowsill starring at me so it would be a good story to tell. Thanks for commenting 👍👍
