Wow cleggy, your videos really are the best. You wouldn’t get these Videos from any other channel. That gold ring an amazing find and you deserve it 👍🥇
Great hunt Clegg it’s -34c here in New Brunswick Canada. Can’t wait for warmer weather so I can get out and hunt. Thank goodness for your videos it keeps me going until I can get out there and dig. 😊
Wow,wow, wow! One of the most beautiful gold rings I have ever seen recovered. Good for you. I suspect it is at least 18 carat , perhaps even higher with the beautiful gold tone. Congratulations and continued success. By the way you are correct about using a harness to manage the weight of the detector. I use a mine lab harness and makes any detector very manageable.
On the CTX channel 11 was the highest frequency and 1 was the lowest…I normally set mine to 11 when looking for low conductors… small hammered etc On the Explorer range of detectors the frequency weighting was the complete opposite to the CTX.
@@WestCountryClegg the size of the coil makes no difference to the frequency weighting under the noise cancel. On the CTX channel 11 was around 27.71khz and channel 1 was around 22.18Khz….the list of frequencies shown in the video was for the Explorer range of detectors. Great finds Cleggy 👍
That ring was amazing!! Everyone is always chasing the next greatest detector! It’s amazing but the next one you bringing out isn’t a daily detector right? Is pretty much one to locate hoards or large deposits right??
Learn something new everyday, I was not aware that the annealing process as applied to silver used a quenching process. I'm used to other metals, where, more often then not the annealing process calls for a slow air cool. Keep up the great work Cleggy! I'll tell you a secret, the "epic-ness" of the finds matters not. It's the entertainment and knowledge you impart to your audience that's draws most of us in. 😄👍🏼
How could a holed silver coin be considered “reportable treasure?” Sorry brother, I’m from across the pond, as far as I know its finders keepers here unless its found on a historical battlefield.
Thanks for the journey 😊

Same video you released earlier today on your 'Hoard Hunters' channel???
It is, I'm trying to get that channel over 1,000 subs and 4,000 hours of watch time.
When you found the fabulous ring, there was another one close to it, but, in your excitement, you didn't see it
Go back again and get it
What happened to the other detector u got the one u spent thousands on you haven't used it in ages
I've got a re-modified coil coming for it on Wednesday
