King Nijam was so caring about the artistic of food and he ordered his chefs to add an exotic vegetable and that time the only vegetable goes well with the biriyani is only potato ( aloo).

Princep Ghat is also a sublime place and is mainly preferred for wedding photoshoots.

The real story of Biryani is that when Portuguese came to India, Potato was cultivated and was the most expensive vegetable in the market at that time. And after that The King Of Awadh wanted to impress his friends and relative just by calling them to a feast at the Palace. They just added Aloo to the biryani and all of them loved it so much that that they suggested the King that whenever they visit him they should be fed with at least Biryani with Aloo in it....... And the addition of ALOO IN BIRYANI is still a CRAZE in Kolkata, and we dont consider anything a biryani until it has big pieces of meat and Potato in it.
