For the 401k match you have to work 3 years, otherwise if you quit before, you pay it back, means they taking their matching % back so it just stays what you self paid in.

Where I’m at they’re paying $15.50 for daytime workers and up to $17.90 for nighttime workers so there’s a little more to it then that

My location is paying 16.60 for week nights and 19.50 for Saturday and Sunday

Their are some part time shifts that are under 20 hours I’m sure we wouldn’t qualify for benefits. But what about holiday pay?
From my memory....
If you work on that holiday you get holiday pay but you don't get paid if you don't work.

Sad isn't it I just seen a story where a man applied to 1000 places entry level and only 1 called him back in Florida. Florida is the saddest excuse for working class you'll ever see. They use more of who you know then caring about if you really need a job. Working wage is low but the living wage is high.

@@HumanEncoded it's because they don't have the sense to know that they deserve better for example I work at UPS where it's $22 an hour your in there from 10 A.M. to like 3 sometimes 2: 30 PM 5 hrs a day at 22 equates to over 100 dollars a day where as the same job in Florida at UPS is around $12.76 an hour and the starting shift is 4 AM to 9 AM. See the difference same hours different times different money

I was told all benefits including parental leave starts as soon as you are hired.
You only have to be a full-time employee.

I got terminated from Amazon on November for safety violation of knowing it. I was wondering if am I eligible for rehire or not after a year?
If you got fire you can reapply after one year.
If you quit you can reapply after 90 days.

What are those 19-hour flexible shifts that Amazon offers? What's the 19 for? Why not make it an even 20?
I signed up for one of those shifts from what I've seen it's mainly to keep you from getting some of the benefits that they have

@@HumanEncoded yep they told us this during orientation they said not to make it our #1 job or anything shifts are first come first serve on A to Z however they do give you blue badge status rather than a white so I guess that's a plus

Interesting approach from Amazon. It's kind of how they do their Amazon Flex deliveries with 1st come 1st serve..
Amazon pays us $17.75 an hour and shift pay is $2.00 so basically $19.75 an hour. Do you think we will get a raise also to $22.75? Because I got an email saying Amazon is hiring and pay can go up to $22.75 please and thanks
Pay is based on the area (in the county) you live in. Cost of living is higher in different places than others.
Some areas will start as high as $22+ & others as low as $16.
After peak season is over they may not be looking for as many workers so they may not increase pay after peak.

What is DSP? Amazon starting pay does vary based on where you live in the country but could start as high as $22 per hr.
The bonus part is very frustrating. for the first month i was supposed to get 500 dollars and i had additionally worked around 20 hours and at the end my paycheck was around 430 because of the taxes, i basically lost all the money i had actually worked for that week and didnt get the full bonus. It was the same thing for the covid vaccine bonus. They advertised $100 to everyone who got vaccinated but it only ended up being $80 because of taxes. Theres so much more things they advertise that sound great but end up being bs once you look into it

The sign on bonus is bogus… They apply tax on it and add it to your paycheck. I’m basically getting paid $3 from my paycheck.

Yea unfortunately I've heard... I think it was Amazon's way of getting ppl excited about applying work there plus giving incentives to only the locations that were in very high need for workers.

As an employee you just have to make sure you're not getting the short end of that exchange.

Hi, update a little bit about the mask thing. They just lift the mask mandate if vaccinated. Of course it depends on states and local but I see my location people stop wearing that now. I personally feel so much better cuz dude you can't believe this but I recently quit Target warehouse with higher pay because Target still force everyone to wear a mask and it sucks lol. I almost die in a trailer from the heat. And feel so miserable
I can't imagine having to wear a mask doing that kind of work. 🥵😵

@@HumanEncoded I'm in Minnesota. Target at my location starting at 22-23$ for warehouse associate and 24-25$ for warehouse worker that drive PIT. My Amazon delivery station I work start at 18.35$ and I work night shift so I have 2$ differential. Another thing I don't like about Target warehouse is the long ass period waiting for benefits. 90 days for health insurance and 6-7 months for 401k. Also, Amazon I think better for a long run since they're not just a retail company like Target.

Florida employees didn't get their $18 an hour yet. I'm still waiting. It's 2022 and we are a week into January already!!!! I work overtime, which is lovely but the $15.50 an hour is killing me because it's not competitive anymore, everyone today or most companies today offer $15 an hour even small companies. ;( I have bills to pay!!

You should look at other offers if ur not satisfied b/c like you said other jobs are paying $15 & up these days & are hiring.

Amazon fulfillment centers never close but a shift or two maybe off for Christmas.
You'll have to check with HR at your location to confirm Holiday schedule.

How does overtime work?
Anytime over 40 hrs is OT and you get paid your hourly rate + half of hourly rate
Ex. $10 per hr + $5 = $15 OT pay

From my understanding no you won't have to pay back.
They don't give you the bonus as soon as you start working there. Some say you get it after peak season & others say after 6 months.

I’ll definitely talk to HR . I’m seasonal right now working at Receiving workin as decant, water spider a little bit, and just basically did a 8hr out of 10hr doing the dock . I just finished my 3rd week there .
I’m going to ask HR to keep my eye for permanent because I’m about to quit my other job and focus on Amazon fully picking up shifts . Obviously my supervisor and all vests people know I’m tryin to work
