@@deessports1650 Yes, you should get all of the hours you have worked on your next check. I think pay cycle starts on Sunday & ends on Saturday. If you are seasonal, you get paid every week. If you are permanent, you get paid every two weeks. Hope this helps Daniel
Is it possible to work at Amazon again as a seasonal warehouse associate when you've been let go the first time as a seasonal when production slowed down? Thanks for all your info.
@@Soto-Yes, you can reapply anytime they let you go due to your seasonal assignment ending. Sometimes even if you got fired you can reapply, pending how long it's been & the needs of Amazon... hope this helps David 📦
What I learned from working there is that working hard only gave me harder positions. The slow workers got easier positions and still got converted to blue badge from seasonal. 🤷🤷🤷🤷
Man that is SOOO TRUE! They love to see you work hard but most of the time it's not worth over working yourself Those are the exact same things I talked about in this video ua-cam.com/video/yHMkUCIIxUA/v-deo.html
💯! When I started there I worked my ass off ending shifts so beat. Soon as I saw how managers took advantage of me and how they left lazy workers alone I said hold on I see whats going on here! Dont ever be a "yes man" at a warehouse like those. We are just numbers in their system
@@IlIlIlIlIlIlIlIlIlIlIlIlI This is true! I learned my lesson a long time ago. I started off working my butt off as a seasonal worker & got laid off then got another job with Amazon later (seasonal) & later got hired permanently (blue badge). The only different was I told myself I wasn't going to over work myself like I did b4 lol
This is a terrible outlook. If you like to work and working hard means something to you on a personal level you shouldn’t compromise your moral and ethics because other are lazy or don’t work as hard as you. I worked for Amazon 4 days and was offered a blue badge. The ppl I got hired with still have been offered a position.
To add to the seasonal thing, it could be location based on how they transition people from seasonal to permanent. I work for Amazon fresh location and when I started off I was seasonal and literally was only their for 2 weeks. They didn’t give anyone a heads up, email or anything. Some people found the day they came in and the ASM was asking them what they were doing their because they no longer were scheduled to work or it was in my case, I worked my last shift at 6pm. I later got a email at 620pm from HR saying my last day was x amount a days ago. ===== The Amazon fresh location I’m at let us have our phone on us and let’s us play music from our phones. We just can’t have earbuds in . The delivery station I worked at, was a big no no with having phones on the floor. So the phone thing just depends on the site
Wow, didn't know Fresh allowed phones. I worked at the fulfillment center (warehouse) and no phone was allowed just like yours. I know I used to pick up Fresh deliveries at a grocery store called Sprouts Farmer Market but after Amazon bought out Whole Foods operations shifted to those locations. Amazon's communication is not the best & as the demand slows down they have to let go of some of the workers.
im two months in. i got converted to blue badge 3days ago. got a raise. i like working there. its easy money. only hard part is waking up early. but overall its good
Km 5 months ago My son went from working hard on a hay farm to being a package driver for Amazon for one dollar more an hour. He loved it at first but that love quickly wore off. As he kept making his delivery time goals each week, they kept pushing him more and more without any bonuses. It was never good enough. He was working 12 hour shifts. He was exhausted, going up flights up stairs carrying packages daily. The better he was, they more they worked him until he completely gave out. Once he tripped on a step and he was terrified to tell management so he wouldn't get yelled at n get a mark against him or get fired. I cleaned his elbow and super glued his elbow skin together and put butterfly stitches on it send sent him back to work. A year later, after 2 years of no raises, tighter goals to meet, no recognition for safety, and reaching his goals, he gave up n quit.
Wow unfortunately this story sounds very common on many levels at Amazon. They're a super large company will an ever-increasing consumer demand. As customers we benefit from Amazon's infrastructure but as employee's we are pushed more & more to our limits.
Jeez this happen to my brother at UPS brownies but at least they are pay him f***ng $45 an hour!! If I was your son I quit and put that effort into UPS brownies they guarantee $40+ an hour after 5 years . Way better benefit than Amazon
I was with Amazon for almost 2 years. Got promoted to a Shipping Clerk after about 6 months, stayed that way for the remainder. I ended up having to leave back in October due to my personal life having too much going on (on top of a very spiteful AM who hated me for no reason and was trying to get me in trouble for things that happened on my days off). Doing this seasonal thing, at a different facility from where I was. I'm sure I've got this in the bag. My initial idea? Stop by HR and and OMs to express interest in becoming permanent. Now? Idea hasn't changed, good to know I had the right idea right off the bat. Show up. Do job. Express interest.
I appreciate you talking about becoming a permanent worker at Amazon because all I could get is seasonal and if I enjoy working at Amazon I would definitely like to stay for good
Today my seasonal work ended out of nowhere. I woke up in the morning got ready for work and when I arrived I had no access to the building. I have been working my butt off hoping to be converted to blue badge, man I really liked working there. This sucks
Yea unfortunately this happens often. My first seasonal hire I was let go too & I worked hard to get converted to blue badge. The good news is if you want you can reapply & try again. I ended up getting converted to blue badge the second time around at another fulfillment center.
@@SandySquirrelofBikiniBottom So basically I received a phone call telling me my seasonal position ended & that I can reapply at anything other Amazon position online.
@@walter_white4953 No, it will just show on your file that the seasonal position ended & you are eligible for rehire. You can reapply right away unless you quit or was fired.
I am 61 and retired. Taking on working at Amazon in Alamogordo NM to extend my retirement for 5 years or more, and the facility in El-Paso Texas which is much larger doesn't have any positions available. I hope to get more hours than the 19 hours a week (part-time) hours because of the distance (72 miles) from home. But I hope to get more hours or get on with the facility in El Paso Texas to reduce the drive and save gas eventually. Thanks for the video. One of the better ones out there.
Wow 72 miles is a long drive but I really hope you are able to find an open position available at the El Paso location soon or a better-paying job closer to your area. They normal hire a lot around this time of year due to the holiday season (peak season) so keep checking. Really appreciate you sharing & thanks for watching! 💪💯
I'm starting October 24 as a seasonal warehouse associate part time second job. If i don't like it, I'll just ride it out till they let me go. No biggie.
You should talk about Amazon fresh location vs fulfillment, delivery center. Having worked at a delivery station and now a Amazon fresh, no way I could go back. It wasn’t rocket science. Same pay but but much more easy on the body.I was like Sign me 🆙
I never worked at Amazon Fresh. I am a little familiar with how it works b/c I used to pickup Amazon Fresh as a driver. Thanks for bringing this up & giving us your experience work at both places Babs. I'll see what I can do 👍
I got a 3 day 12 hour shift, 36-40 hours. then they emailed me saying that shift was no longer available 5 days before my start day. Thats some shady ass shit man.
Yea that's messed up.... Either Amazon filled that position before you finish confirming everything or they did not need as many people for that shift that they thought. This happen to me before too! I just end up finding another shift or location that worked for me.
That's a good idea D Nell! I'll look into adding this to my videos coming soon.... Be sure to subscribe if you haven't to make sure you are able to get notified when I do*
I appreciate this video a lot I just took a offer just now to do a full-time seasonal position for Amazon in Florida over in Ruskin. I want to get switched over to permanent but I'll see what happens once I start working and I'll make sure that I do everything I need to do for the job to meet eligibility requirements. I don't think it will be hard as I used to work for XPO Logistics but I will keep my eyes sharp on the job. I'm trying to keep myself stable with a full-time job as it's pretty difficult with some companies not wanting to hire you for whatever weird reason that they give you but I'm hoping Amazon can give me that opportunity so I can continue on my path of where I want to be. My main goal is to work in cybersecurity but I'm trying to get money made for now just to keep my finances balanced. If Amazon does elevate me higher I will be very happy to get push in that direction. Huge big thank you for coming across your video I appreciate that
My pleasure! Much thanks for watching & leaving this comment. I hope you are able to reach all of your goals. Also Amazon offers training programs from time to time like tech positions that are available for Amazon (permanent) employees.
@HumanEncoded okay for sure I appreciate that I definitely would like to go in that direction if the opportunity presents itself for better advancement for job opportunities
I was just hired as seasonal part time, I work a 9-5, and had my 1st day orientation, last night. This afternoon I got a offer to transition to blue badge, I technically haven’t even worked a shift yet, what’s the difference?
Wow that is definitely not common! Sounds like you were put in the perfect situation of being at a location & department where they really needed to hire blue badge workers. There's no clear-cut way to become a blue badge & every location has different needs. In this case, you kind of won the blue badge lottery lol :)
Been seasonal for 9 months, seasonal dont get raises or vacation hrs,if in 2 month i dont get it am out,i know UTR,OTR,RTS,what yard marshall do(wich that position got taken of now i run the whole dock)also ran the floor few times for the same pay
Sounds like you should be a blue badge by now if you doing all of that. I would be checking with them every week about making me permanent. Hope it ends up working out for you. 👍
Wow! It should've let you know when you picked the shift to work. Not sure why they didn't. 🤷🏽♂️ You can still get hired permanently if you really want to stay there if they pick you. If they let you go after the season is over you can always reapply as well.👍🏽
i just got converted after 4 months .. i started off in pack then moved to stow nd then moved to pick so i switch on nd off to src nd pick .. i hated pack so i jus moved from there
Congrats! The quicker you can find a department that you like best the better. It will help you stay at Amazon longer & hopefully make the time go by quicker. Thanks for sharing. 💪💯
I got hired(seasonal) but willing to work on Dec 2. So, I'm still waiting for Background check/Drug test for final results. After that should I ask the manager about getting a blue badge? Or just be quiet and be good worker? This is my first time going to amazon on the first day of amazon.
1st check with HR/Help Desk located at the front of warehouse to see what are the requirements to become a blue badge. Make sure you stay within those requirements. You can then let your manager or supervisor know you want to become blue badge. Also let them know you want to get all the license or certifications available. These will let you operate more things in the warehouse which will make you more valuable. Hope this helps 🤞🏽👍🏽
thanks for the video. I recently left Fedex because I was not getting hours. (being sent home after 1 hour) got hired on at Amazon and have my first start date in two weeks. The position I applied for is 16 hours per week, but I was kind of hoping for closer to 25 hours. My question is, do they allow you to stay later or work extra in order to reach desired hourly goals? If so, is this applicable to temps or only permanent employees? Thanks in advance for any insight
Yes, this is possible... When they are busy & need workers just let your station manager know you want to stay longer or come in on your off day for more hrs. Just like FedEx, Amazon will let ppl leave early when production gets slow (just fyi). Hope this helps Raechel
The issues is when I had applied at Amazon. It say as a Fulltime. After that when Amazon hired me , put me into “ Seasonal “. What I have to do continue. I need the full time job.
You can be hired full-time and still be a seasonal worker. Full-time just means 40 hrs per week. If you want to try to get hired permanently, this video should give you some type of guideline. Some people get a blue badge the first week, first month, or never, it just depends.
I'm on a fixed term contract, at first it was only supposed to last 3 months but then they've extended it for another extra 3 months. What are my chances to become permanent? I've not had any absences but the other day I was checking my performances and there was this feedback about my productivity not being good (for 1 particular week or day) but generally I'm a very fast packer. I've won a few power hours as well. Let me know what u think, thanks.
I think as long as they are extending your contract then you in good position to get hired permanently. It's kind of tricky tho b/c your location may have enough permanent workers & are only needing seasonal or contracted workers until the work load slows down. Companies these days aren't really trying to hire permanently unless they have to b/c it's cheaper to hire seasonal workers. Just keep checking with your managers to see when you can get on permanent. They know more than they act like they do. You sound like you're doing a great job 👍🏽
@@HumanEncodedI appreciate your response man, even though your video is 1 year old, thanks g. Just one more thing, would it be wise to switch to part time just before my fixed term ends? Since we're not in peak time, I'm assuming amazon would prefer to have more part time workers than full time. And then I will probably try to switch back to full time as we approach peak. Let me know ur thoughts on this when u have time. Thanks again
When I was seasonal through a hiring agency it took forever for them to convert me so I ended up going on their website and applying for the same position I work and I ended up getting my blue badge that way
no cell phone on the floor warehouse? that worried me because my kids...but also I seen some people film themselves working in amazon warehouse while they were scanning packages?
Yea it just depends on the location. Some may allow phones on the floor & some may not. People did sneak their phones in when I was working there. 😅 I'll say just check to see if that location allows you to or not if you can.
Do you lose that seasonal pay differential if you become permanent? I’m three weeks in, but if they think I’m good enough to train me in other areas which hopefully they will, then I would only want to be permanent if I keep that same pay.
Yes, the pay stays the same no matter if you are seasonal or permanent..... Good question Lotuskayj! If you have any other questions, feel free to ask*
Hey I have a question , my girlfriend has an interview Thursday. the drug test, badge all the paper work and things. But we have plans to go on a trip to Puerto Rico in April around the 29th-4th, do you think she’ll be able to request those days off?.... I’ve worked at Amazon for 2 years but I was permanent and really don’t know how seasonal workers point system work ☹️. Also do seasonal have bereavement pay?
Apologies for late reply.... yes you can take days off do to bereavement of close family with no pay. She can talk to HR (front desk at warehouse) and let them know in advance. They will either put it in the system there or tell her how to go to AtoZ & take off. Hope this helps Fiddle
I don't think you get a raise while seasonal but to be honest I forgot. I think you get a raise every 6 months (25-40 cents) being a permenent worker. Hopefully someone reading this can confirm.
It's almost mandatory that you cross train if asked. Most of time it's b/c it slow in your area or another area needs help. If you express to the manager you prefer to stay in your area they can keep you there & pull someone else. Your relationship with that manager is key.
It's more of a website than an app but you can view it on your phone. They should give you the domain name & login info during orientation. Thanks for watching. 👍
as a seasonal flex do we go to the same station to work everytime we go in or do we talk to a manager first to see where should i go everytime i pick up a new shift? how does that work. I just dont want to be confused everytime i walk in to go to work. Anything can help thanks.
It depends on the location, some warehouses operate differently than others. You can always request to stay at a particular station, sometimes they may let you.
If I'm not mistaken, if you are a full-time (40+ hrs per week) seasonal worker you are eligible for some benefits starting your first day. Check with the location you are about to work at to confirm benefit requirements. Hope this helps
Good question PozzieRozzie! It WILL NOT keep you from converting to blue badge. VTO is like a free unpaid day off. When Amazon send VTO's out they are trying to reduce workers on that shift b/c production may be slow that day. Hope this answered your question. If you have any other questions feel free to ask! :)
@@HumanEncoded yea, I was confused cuz sounds like VTO means you can't come in cuz there's no work for you so how could you get in trouble when its like a notice they made a decision to see if you can not come in when production changed on them.
Very informational video quick question if id work 40hrs, graveyard shift Tuesday-Sunday. 5 days and they payday would be Friday how does that work, do I get paid for 3 days then the next week id get paid for the reminded of the day? (I have direct deposit set up)
You should get your full weeks pay on pay day. I worked 12hr shifts Thurs - Sunday & received my whole weeks check every week. I do remember my 1st week check was not paid the 1st week of work. It was paid the next pay day which is common practice.
@@HumanEncoded thank you for the clearance I really appreciate it. So in that case on the 2nd week will I get paid for the hours I worked the 1st week?
Sure! You can reapply at the same or any other location when your seasonal work ends as long as you didn't get fired or quit without notice. Hope you are able to find the work you are looking for soon Destiny :)
If I work at a fulfillment center that was JUST created 4 months ago is it hard to become a permanent worker? If so what do I need to do in order to become permanent because I desperately want permanent I just don’t want them to get rid of me. I’ve been working hard lately to get this job and I hope they get me.
It should be easier since they are just opening up. I suggest building a good rapport with the managers & make sure you are within the blue badge conversion guidelines (e.i. not missing to many days, etc.). Check with HR/Front desk to see what the guidelines are. As long as they see you working hard, being productive, & they like you, you should be ok. Nothing is guaranteed but even now I don't think they will be firing anyone anytime soon since production demand is so high.
Not sure... it would depend on what is available & will HR (front desk) allow you to change your schedule. Just check with the front desk at your warehouse to see if those options are available.
if you want 40 hrs or more and a consistent schedule then the full time offer would be the option to choose. You may get 40 hrs with Flex and you may not.
Is it necessary to have an ID ? To get there at least the first days ? Bc I just went to the mvc of my city and they’re gonna send me my ID on the mail but it takes almost 10 days business days to arrive
I think you need an ID in order to apply or definitely when they need to run a background check. I can't remember when it's need but it's needed at some point.
So needless to say I'm so confused as to what hours I'll be working because I started out as permanent a couple years ago did the 3 12's so I was set but idk what the heck 1:20 am to 11:50 am means I'm so confused. Does that mean that my shifts can vary from any of those hours? One day I'll be working at 7 am til 2pm next day 4pm to 12 am etc etc. ?
1:20AM-11:50AM (usually Tuesday-Friday) is a 10 hour night shift with 30 minutes unpaid break. (with some premium per hour). I’m currently doing this shift and they pay $18.35 per hour ($17.85 + $0.5 premium per hour)
Having your phone in Amazon won’t get you fired. It’s a verbal warning and beside I always have my phone only time I don’t have my phone is if I don’t have a pocket and I was caught on my phone before and the manager just said Mam? Get off your phone! I was like yes sir! And besides it’s who you know too and on top of that I’m protected my the most High
Yea I think you do not suppose to have your phone on the floor. It's apart of Amazon's policy. Some managers maybe more strict than others. If they see you & record it in your file, then over time you can get fired b/c of that. It is good to be cool with your managers tho
I Would like to give it a try to work there at an Amazon but at same time I'm still waiting for my Job Coach to give me a call. So he can let me know about an opening position at the Amazon, I don't know how long Will it take for an Opening Position at the Amazon. I hope it's not going to take another year for them to be open at the Amazon I want the process to be finish so I can move forward So I can paid a lot of Money..
Most ppl wont transfer to blue badge but it's still possible to go from season to blue badge (see video). Worked for them twice. The 1st time I wasn't hired permanently, the 2nd time I was. Hopefully things work out for you Cory. 💯
40 hrs plus (Pending if you do OT) / Days vary based on the schedule you choose / $15 x 40 hrs = $600 per week - Can possibly make a little more by working nights or weekends and with OT. Hope this helps Jean

I'm glad you enjoyed this content & thanks for subscribing Sean! You are doing the right thing by building those relationships. It can sometime be the extra push you need to get converted to blue badge. What department (area) do they have you in?
@@HumanEncoded it's been going pretty good actually, after 2 weeks packing, they made me a water spider, than after 2 weeks of that the non inventory came and got me, that was this week and they liked how I worked they said it's very very likely that after January 2nd Non inventory will make me a permanent employee , this week they also made me attend a training so I could use the motorized hand jacks, so I'm excited I got certified in that,
@@caylee3277 That's great to hear Sean! You are doing actually what needs to be done to make yourself seen & promoted. I received a hand jack license as well. The more you become invaluable to Amazon the more likely is for you to convert to blue badge..... keep it up my guy!
It can last as long as 1 year but usually it doesn't. No one knows how long they will stay hired as seasonal. It depends on how many workers they need to operate & when they don't need as many they will start laying of seasonal workers first. Yes, you can get hired permanently but it's not guaranteed.
If they don't have enough workers & have increased orders they will need them to work longer to fulfill those orders. That's why Amazon has increased their pay b/c they really need workers right now.
Yes it will depend on your location. It can become an EXPENSIVE liability to Amazon if something were to happen. I think that's a good thing for the workers to help the time go by. Hopefully it won't be a distraction. 😬
I currently have a part time seasonal schedule. If I am kept permanent, would my schedule stay part time or would it get moved to full time? Curious question
I got a seasonal part time and i start next week. Can i work from 3pm-9pm from mon-friday like a regular job or how does the scheduling work? Because im still in highschool so i would be working afterschool.
Every location shifts are different. They should've told you the shift you are assigned to before you start working. Once you start on your assigned shift it's hard to change it. If that shift doesn't work for you, I would recommend going back to Amazon job site & finding one that works around your schedule then reapply. Just my opinion... Hope this helps UEFA God
Thanks for the video, so check me out, I was hired for full-time, but when I went to choose my shift, it said no times available, so I called and they told me to check every Sunday and Monday so I waited and check for 3 weeks nothing ever came available so I said screw it I had to reapply and all they had was Seasonal, so I said screw it and I need my foot in the door, I want to make sure I'm hired full-time tho, what do you recommend for me and how can I get transferred to my blue badge? This week was my first week. Thank you
Unfortunately Sean that kind of stuff happens often smh. Amazon gets prob thousands of ppl applying daily so those types of positions get filled quick (1st come 1st served) no matter if you are halfway through confirming everything. Converting to blue badge is not guaranteed but certain things can help..... * Check with the ppl at the help desk to see how many days you can missed before it disqualifies you from converting * Try not to get caught with your phone on the work floor. Last time I checked if you get caught more than two times it could disqualify you & could even get you fired (check with help desk to confirm). * Watch my video & start at 4:43. I put some other tips that can help you go blue badge. Let me know if you have any other questions*
I applied for seasonal PA, so question is i am getting a $1. Raise..am i getting the rest full pay wich is an extra 3.25 after 3 months and transitioning into permaninent?
I worked at cle2 in Cleveland for a year and three months. I applied again today and they said I was eligible for rehire but only seasonal so I look at the shift available and it says like sun mon Tue wed 1:20 am to 11:50 am so I'm sitting there like huh 🤔🤨
Hopefully you seen my comment on your other comment but if not..... It looks like they have you working a 10 hr shift + 30 min break... that's a crazy odd shift tho
I'm also super sad I have to start seasonal, I've done problem solve pick pack amnesty and was learning Ambassador for SRC and cycle count before my resignation so I kinda wanted to hop back in but I know that is not realistic.
@@Conway2024 once you start back working there, just get in good with your supervisors & let them know your previous experience. Let me know how it works out Tia 🙂
Try not to work at there main fullfilment centers there definitely the worst. There sortation centers or there electronic warehouses are much better to work at
I applied for the seasonal warehouse delivery team member job and completed the application process and then booked an appointment date to visit the amazon office. After all this, the application status shows Offer Extended, what does it mean, I got the job or something else?
Should mean that Amazon has officially extended you the offer to work for them. Just means that you can now proceed to the next step in the hiring process. Hope this helps Sandeep. :)
hi can you tell me whats a sort i appiled to amazon as a sort team member and i just want to know what im gettin into im new to amazon so idk what to expect.
Sorters just take the packages (most of the time) while it comes down a conveyor belt & puts them into bins or sends them down another area that will eventually go to the docks to get loaded on the trucks. Hope this helps Jasmine

Depends on your location's rules. At my location they didn't allow it but as you know ppl find ways to get around it. The reason is since Amazon ships a lot of electronics they don't want ppl trying to steal & try claiming it is theirs.
I was hired as a permanent Amazon employee in 2021 I left the company after a month because I got a hospital job. Fast-forward to 2024, I was rehired on 10/24 as a seasonal and will start working on 11/2024. I'm going to talk to HR to see if they can switch me from seasonal to permanent.
Yea let them know you used to work permanently before, it may help. It's no guarantee you will be able to convert but they hire for the holidays (peak season) & lay off around the end of December/January. It's based on their production demand just fyi.
Good question Justin! Yes they give you at least a week or two to make rate. If you are ok with standing the time you are on the floor, you should be ok.
Hi. I know this video is a year ago. I just received a call said my seasonal position is ended but my schedule is still up like normal. Am I supposed to turn up like usual? Or am I off from there????
That happened to me before as well. Amazon AtoZ is going show that until the company updates your schedule. Unfortunately once you get that call your seasonal assignment has ended. The good thing is you can now reapply to any Amazon fulfillment center that's hiring now. Hope this helps you out. 🤞🏽
They would start letting people go right before Christmas or shortly after because that's when the shipping demand would start slowing down (when I was working there). People rush to place orders on Amazon to get their products delivered before Christmas. Hopefully you will be able to get hired permanently.
That's definitely different from when I was working there. When you were seasonal you had a white badge and when you became permanent you received a blue badge. I worked at an Amazon fulfillment center and Amazon has many different types of warehouses now. Maybe at the warehouse he is at the majority of the workers are seasonal & they give them all the same badge. 🤔
Last time I checked you have to be at least 18. As far as tax, that depends on how many hours you work & what state you live. Some states do not have tax. Ex. If you worked in Texas (no state tax) and got paid $15 per hr & worked 40 per week. Total of $600 gross per week. You would bring home about $509 per week. Hope this helps 👍🏽
THANKS BLUE1Q3 LOVELY!!!! 😍 Couldn't find out who gave me this Super Thanks until now. Yes, the best thing to do is let your manager know you are interested in being a blue badge so they can possibly recommend you to become permanent. Also check with HR to make sure you are meeting the requirements. Example; if you miss to many days you won't be eligible. Hope this helps 🤞🏽
@@HumanEncoded thanks for the information that was helpful they just extended my contract for 3 more months my store rate was good I didn’t miss any of the days they hired me Thanks man

That's very odd b/c when I was there they would almost have to force people to cross train. That's how bad they wanted people to cross train. Maybe you are in a department where they need workers & that no one likes to work in. When that happens they don't want you to go anywhere. 🤷🏽
Hines Enterprise I’m Inbound Stow 🤢🤮 and yeah I don’t think anybody wants to be here . Oh well I got email saying I qualified for blue badge , turns out they are doing automatic conversions at my building , now I just gotta wait to get it , then I can switch to Afe packing where I belong .
What if you already have a bachelors degree and you’re about to start in sortation warehouse. How long will it take to move up to manager. When I start should I tell them I have a degree?
Amazon does try to hire from within but some just get hired as managers & just go thru their training without starting as a normal warehouse worker. If you happen to already be working as a warehouse worker just check with HR and see what type of programs they may have to train from management and requirements.
@@HumanEncoded I haven’t started there yet was curious to see if I should just straight up ask hr that I have a degree so I can do management type position
@@kool8800 It'll be best if you would just apply for a management position (if available) instead of working another position to get promoted to management. If you start working in another position, it's not ganranteed you will be able to get promoted to management & how long it will take. With all that said, you can speak with HR once you are hired if you want.
I'm also confused lol... They must have change the policy. You can be a blue badge & work part time or full-time but I haven't heard of being a blue badge seasonal 🤔 Check with your HR/ Front Desk next time you go to work to get clarity & let us know what you find out.
@Hines Enterprise i have to wait 1 month to start work but why is it that? I just want to start early can you please reply. I called them and they gave me answers for my employment but i need it early not late.
They hire as needed. The location you got hire at may not need anymore workers until your start date. That location need for workers many change from day to day or week to week. Your starting date may also have something to do with the shift you chose as well. If you live in an area with multiple fulfillment centers you can attempt to reapply at another location or look for available shift at the location you got hired at.. That move could possibly get you a sooner start date but that's not a guarantee. That's the only options I can think of. If you don't want to risk reapplying & losing your current offer then I recommend just waiting Andrew ⏳
@@HumanEncoded i really appreciate your reply thank you. I will just wait until i get the job i dont want to risk loosing this position. Have a blessed day 🙏
PIT 101, Standup, Electric Pallet Jack... Those are certifications so you can operate the forklifts & Electric Pallet Jacks. I also received a cert to operate a machine in the packaging area
full time is just how many hours you work. Season is the time frame in which you are hired to work. So most of the time they hire seasonal workers at the end of the yr during Christmas (busy season) and it may just last for 2-3 months. Hope this helps answer your question.
Sometimes they do slow down on hiring based on production demand. Surprised you can't find any listings in Houston as big as it is. Amazon website would have listings as well as jobs sites like Indeed.com. Hope you find what you are looking for. 🤞
I enjoy your videos and looking to apply at Amazon. Where I live in California there are three places within 20 minutes of where I am. The XL warehouse pays 19.55 but never hire can I transfer from another warehouse if they have an opening at the XL spot?
Thanks & glad you enjoyed the videos! From my understanding if you work with Amazon for at least 30 days you are eligible to transfer. In the employee site Amazon AtoZ there should be a job section to see what positions are available. Hope this helps 🤞🏽
I had my orientation on the 22 so I’m going to my second day on the 26 I’m doing seasonal to they sent out a email saying I’m eligible to switch from seasonal to regular and it was a link to it it was just basically saying if you didn’t want to convert you have to click on decline but I do want to convert so I just let the link because I do want to work regular shift but they said I have to wait 30 days until I can switch over to regular shift is that true
Not sure how that works b/c Amazon has change a lot of things since I've worked there. From my memory, once I was immediate once I converted to blue badge (permanent). Maybe the benefits start in 30 days.🤔
If you have any questions about Amazon that I may not have answered, feel free to ask!

@@deessports1650 Yes, you should get all of the hours you have worked on your next check.

They love to see you work hard but most of the time it's not worth over working yourself
Those are the exact same things I talked about in this video
ua-cam.com/video/yHMkUCIIxUA/v-deo.html

Same is on kimko
This is a terrible outlook. If you like to work and working hard means something to you on a personal level you shouldn’t compromise your moral and ethics because other are lazy or don’t work as hard as you.
=====
The Amazon fresh location I’m at let us have our phone on us and let’s us play music from our phones.
I went to my day 1 last night and got blue badge offer this afternoon. 🎉 so cal sort center

My son went from working hard on a hay farm to being a package driver for Amazon for one dollar more an hour.

Thanks for sharing this. Hope you are able to get on permanently (if that's what you would like). 🙂👍

Really how that’s good . I was told I have to wait 6 months and I do the same job as you . Does it depend on location ?
@@Rennatheeomnipotent it must. I think it depends on how busy the location is and how much they need workers. I am in a super busy location.

Yea unfortunately this happens often. My first seasonal hire I was let go too & I worked hard to get converted to blue badge.
The good news is if you want you can reapply & try again. I ended up getting converted to blue badge the second time around at another fulfillment center.
Did HR approach you to go from Temp - Seasonal to FULLTIME POSITION? They ask you to go online at the facility to reapply and they will let you know.
When you’re let go as a seasonal worker, are you considered “fired”? Do you need to wait a full year to reapply?
@@SandySquirrelofBikiniBottom So basically I received a phone call telling me my seasonal position ended & that I can reapply at anything other Amazon position online.
@@walter_white4953 No, it will just show on your file that the seasonal position ended & you are eligible for rehire.

I didn’t even know it was seasonal till I got hired .
Wow! It should've let you know when you picked the shift to work. Not sure why they didn't. 🤷🏽♂️

These will let you operate more things in the warehouse which will make you more valuable.

thanks for the video.

@@HumanEncodedI appreciate your response man, even though your video is 1 year old, thanks g.
Just one more thing, would it be wise to switch to part time just before my fixed term ends? What happens if they tell you to go learn at another station and you say no. Will they get mad? Or how can you tell them you don't want to?
It's almost mandatory that you cross train if asked. Most of time it's b/c it slow in your area or another area needs help.
If you express to the manager you prefer to stay in your area they can keep you there & pull someone else.
Your relationship with that manager is key.

It depends on the location, some warehouses operate differently than others.

Check with the location you are about to work at to confirm benefit requirements.

What if you’re seasonal and you accept VTO? Would they hold that against you if you wanted to convert to blue badge?
Good question PozzieRozzie! It WILL NOT keep you from converting to blue badge. VTO is like a free unpaid day off. When Amazon send VTO's out they are trying to reduce workers on that shift b/c production may be slow that day.

They are the same. Your lunch breaks are based on how many hours your shift is.... hopes this helps Jasmine :)
so if they let you go from one seasonal shift, can you re apply and get hired for another seasonal shift when available?
Sure! You can reapply at the same or any other location when your seasonal work ends as long as you didn't get fired or quit without notice.

Once you get the seasonal job and full timer can you switch to a Part time ?
Not sure... it would depend on what is available & will HR (front desk) allow you to change your schedule.
Just check with the front desk at your warehouse to see if those options are available.
Hi is it better to accept a seasonal warehouse offer that is full time or a regular Flex Time locker offer?
if you want 40 hrs or more and a consistent schedule then the full time offer would be the option to choose.

Is it necessary to have an ID ? To get there at least the first days ? Bc I just went to the mvc of my city and they’re gonna send me my ID on the mail but it takes almost 10 days business days to arrive

Wow I never seen a shift like that.
Looks like you are working 10hr shifts along with your 30 minute break. That's an odd shift tho 🤔

Hopefully it doesn't take that long to get hired.
They normal hire quite often b/c of high turn over.

I got hired as permanent just from applying, and they told me it was rare.
That is rare, congrats! 🙌
Hope you enjoy your time at Amazon.

Most ppl wont transfer to blue badge but it's still possible to go from season to blue badge (see video).
Worked for them twice. The 1st time I wasn't hired permanently, the 2nd time I was.
Hopefully things work out for you Cory. 💯
How many hours, days and money can you make a week while working at an Amazon warehouse ?
40 hrs plus (Pending if you do OT) / Days vary based on the schedule you choose / $15 x 40 hrs = $600 per week - Can possibly make a little more by working nights or weekends and with OT. Hope this helps Jean
depending on where in the country you in jersey our pay starts at 17.25 thats 25.87 an hour for over time and we do 20 hrs a week because we're understaffed my pay last week was $ 1,207, × 4 week thats a good live total of hours ,,, but where off the street easy interview process cann you make that and work with great fun people and get benefits

How to find the work location inside amazon warehouse . The location keep changing just try to find out the easiest way ! Pls reply
Are you asking how to find locations when searching for jobs on the Amazon website?
So there are no interviews for a warehouse job?
Not at all 🙂

Hey so you long do usually seasonal last ? How long is the assignment ? Yes , I’ve heesrs that you work hard they will do permanent
It can last as long as 1 year but usually it doesn't. No one knows how long they will stay hired as seasonal.
It depends on how many workers they need to operate & when they don't need as many they will start laying of seasonal workers first.
Yes, you can get hired permanently but it's not guaranteed.
I heard that amazon hours Full time are not good and part time hours are crazy some say they get off 3am and leave at 1pm
If they don't have enough workers & have increased orders they will need them to work longer to fulfill those orders.
That's why Amazon has increased their pay b/c they really need workers right now.
he mentioned phone,at my location we can have our on us and a ear bud in with music
It would be the same schedule unless they ask you if you want to accept another position with another schedule.
Hope this helps. 👍
How it going u still there?
@@free4nemm558 hey! Yeah I am! By any chance do you know how conversion works?? Is it automatic??
* Check with the ppl at the help desk to see how many days you can missed before it disqualifies you from converting
* Try not to get caught with your phone on the work floor.
Raise..am i getting the rest full pay wich is an extra 3.25 after 3 months and transitioning into permaninent?
from my understanding, a $1 in 3 months is a $1 raise if you are still working in 3 months.
Not sure how you calculated the $3.25. 🤔
@@HumanEncoded Definitely odd idk what I'm walking into this time around.
If they like you enough they'll prob move you around to positions that could possibly get you back where you want to be. Also the ability to convert back to blue badge.
Let me know how it works out Tia 🙂
When you become permanent, do you also get an hourly pay increase?
No. Only if you move up from a L1 or have worked there 6 months.
Thanks for responding to this question Main Street Bully! 💯
I worked at amazon before as a seasonal associate but now thinking about working there part-time. Does amazon have a good work-life balance?
I guess it just depends what you have going in your personal life vs how many hours you are working. You would have to be the judge of that bro 🤷🏽
Is amazon hiring everyday? im bout to turn 18 this week and tryna work at amazon

About how long does it take to get a blue badge? Also does seasonal workers get medical benefits?
I've heard of ppl become blue badge the first week so it really just depends on the location. I don't think seasonal workers get medical tho.

What is a flexible schedule regular ?
just depends on what shifts Amazon is offering at the time you are applying
What about watches! I can’t wear an Apple Watch in the warehouse right?

I'm overweight, I'm not sure if I could make it there. Do they give you a few weeks to make rate?
I start pretty soon, how long is seasonal usually? I want to eventually be permanent
They would start letting people go right before Christmas or shortly after because that's when the shipping demand would start slowing down (when I was working there).
People rush to place orders on Amazon to get their products delivered before Christmas.
Hopefully you will be able to get hired permanently.
@@HumanEncoded thanks for the info 👍✨
No problem💯 @@STRANGExDAYSx
My son has the blue badge but is only seasonal ???
That's definitely different from when I was working there.
When you were seasonal you had a white badge and when you became permanent you received a blue badge.
I worked at an Amazon fulfillment center and Amazon has many different types of warehouses now.
Maybe at the warehouse he is at the majority of the workers are seasonal & they give them all the same badge. 🤔
Are you able to apply under 18 asking for someone I know? Also how much money is taken away from ur pay check due to taxes?
Last time I checked you have to be at least 18.
As far as tax, that depends on how many hours you work & what state you live. Some states do not have tax.
Ex. If you worked in Texas (no state tax) and got paid $15 per hr & worked 40 per week. Total of $600 gross per week.
You would bring home about $509 per week.
Hope this helps 👍🏽

Yes, the best thing to do is let your manager know you are interested in being a blue badge so they can possibly recommend you to become permanent.
Also check with HR to make sure you are meeting the requirements. Example; if you miss to many days you won't be eligible.

How can I ask to cross train if I’m seasonal ? They told me that I can’t switch or anything until I’m blue . Wtf
I swear they are against me ,
That's very odd b/c when I was there they would almost have to force people to cross train. That's how bad they wanted people to cross train.
Maybe you are in a department where they need workers & that no one likes to work in. When that happens they don't want you to go anywhere. 🤷🏽

What dose regular mean? In Amazon
Not sure, in what way was it used?
I have a blue badge and im a seasonal,I got my blue badge the first day of work im so confused is that a good thing?
I'm also confused lol... They must have change the policy.
You can be a blue badge & work part time or full-time but I haven't heard of being a blue badge seasonal 🤔
Check with your HR/ Front Desk next time you go to work to get clarity & let us know what you find out.

Whats the meaning of full time seasonal on Amazon job
full time is just how many hours you work. Season is the time frame in which you are hired to work. So most of the time they hire seasonal workers at the end of the yr during Christmas (busy season) and it may just last for 2-3 months.
Hope this helps answer your question.
Bro I look in I never see inside job openings please hlep me Houston
Sometimes they do slow down on hiring based on production demand.
Surprised you can't find any listings in Houston as big as it is.
Amazon website would have listings as well as jobs sites like Indeed.com.
Hope you find what you are looking for. 🤞

From my understanding if you work with Amazon for at least 30 days you are eligible to transfer.
In the employee site Amazon AtoZ there should be a job section to see what positions are available.
