Great video. Thanks. But please run the scope. I'm a big scope/diag guy and that's all I really care about. I still run a verus edge as I saw no real improvement in the original Zeus over it. Would really like to see the reported more buffer recordable length and overall use and look compared to the old
That thing looks amazing. Not a huge snap on scanner fan because of the huge cost difference but that is the best looking scanner out. My 2 favorite things about the snap on scanners is the scope and component testing.
1 year later and what would be your thoughts, anything that you like or dislike about the plus? I am still on the old Verus Pro lol and have Autels etc. but wanting to go up to the new Zeus. There is alot of haters out there for this unit but I prefer Snap-On simplicity approach compared to others.
Honestly would purchase again. I have no major complaints. There were a few software bugs that drove me crazy at first but they were just fixed in the latest update. I’d say go for it. Maybe your dealer can give you a demo unit for a few days.
Good job on the video. I don't understand why Snap On would remove the option for the scope to be attached as well as tethered. Also, surprised that the stylus isn't tethered...but they added a light...so that'll be lost. And the boot-up times for both Zeus units are longer than I had expected. Nice looking machine, though.
Biggest problem with the light is the button accidentally gets pushed all the time while it attached to the scanner. I burned through the battery and extra battery within a month. I won’t be buying more. Super bad design.
Any chance you could post the actual hardware specs as far as CPU type, RAM amount and speed, and storage amount are concerned? Also, do you happen to know if the storage is a regular NVMe type drive that can be replaced/upgraded?
Thanks. I just got mine last week right before you replied, and already voided the warranty and upgraded to 8GB DDR3200, which seems to actually be running at that speed. Might go to 16GB eventually if it'll support it, just had the spare 8GB already lying around waiting for a home. Made a big difference.
I still enjoy my zeus and don't think I'm going to upgrade. I'm hoping they made the battery life better? Was disappointed they didn't adapt the topology view and some options for programming and coding. Now the chip there for ista looks very cool. I work on a fair amount of bmw's and have been going back and forth on getting it. I had no idea you could use the software like that. Now that's cool.
Really hard to say. My shop has an Autel Ultra but I still use my Zeus 99% of the time. Does everything I need for the most part. If I need more, I grab my ICOM because we specialize in BMW.

For sure. Sometimes the extra cost comes in handy. No need to look up pinouts for modules etc, it’s all in the scanner!

I kept the old Snap-on bag from the previous Zeus. Fits the new Zeus plus perfectly.
I’ll definitely try to do the same as long as my dealer doesn’t complain about the trade in lol
I really like that scantool but I can't afford that.
Good job on the video.

I really wish I can afford this tool 😢

Did you get it from the truck or from the website?
Got it from the Truck
Hello, Where can I get the BMW software? To use it with Zeus +
bmwtechinfo.bmwgroup.com/
You’ll also need an ICOM if you don’t have one.

Yeah the ISTA thing is great. Allowing you to actually take it out on the road etc. And yeah we really need topology for what these things cost.
Screen is the best attribute
Make videos on working on cars! The way you explains and record would be perfect for videos of you working on cars
Probably a good idea and definitely something I’ve considered. So don’t be surprised if I start!
Is it worth getting over the Autel tho….??!
