- This video will show you the exact process of removing your bmw instrument cluster to be able to swap out you standard old boring orange LEDs to what ever colour you would like your cluster to be! Just doing this. Think i will use some sweet wrappers in red for needles. Just cut out and stick on the underside of round bit. Needles should light red.

Good I'm glad!! 😊 Yeah you can still change the code colours if you want too, they are just leds no specific name I don't think 😕
I think all blue needles would have been better, especially if you had blue calipers and the blue center line on your steering wheel.
Yeah it would be better, but I've got purple centre line on my steering wheel and my calipers are black 😉
What voltage are the diodes at?

Thank you! I only used white leds, I Done the rest of the colours with sharpies, but for any future projects I will be using a tint film on the needles, I got the leds on ebay mate, just ebay bmw led gauges it will come up, I also used about 20-30 leds if that

a question how did you put the needles in colors?
i used a sharpie for my own but ive also done them with colour tint

After I installed the speed and rpm needles don’t move but oil and gas does plz help
You may have pushed them on to far, so they will be hitting the back which causes to much friction and stops them from moving
Hi, if I were to use blue LEDs for the needle, which led would I need to solder it to? Thanks 👍
The leds that do the dials are the leds that do the needles, so everything would either be blue or white depending on which you choose,

No it's just red backing with a white led light behind it 😉

If they use the same led's then I don't see why not 🤷♂️
Not the same leds, idrive + shift leds are suuuuuper tinie leds, but dont know the code for them , i also wanna change them all 😔

you can buy Blue light tint and red light tint, that works, i used sharpie on my own but for a more professional look go with the tint :)

Yes i beleive so, the leds have to be the right way

what kind of led it is? How/where to buy it?
Just google bmw cluster led change and it will come up with the correct things to buy

I wouldn't have a clue, unless the leds were faulty or maybe the dails are dirty?
You were a dummy and bought warm white leds instead of cold white

No mate, no need to error codes or anything, only changing leds
