      stock m3 is slow as shit plus no turbos and even you go with up max what you get below 800 HP when 335i you can build up to 1000!

      Lets be real here the M3 V8 is more enjoyable then turbo engines. I had plenty of Bmw turbo sixes and my 545i manual is so much more fun because of pure NA engine sound and throttle feel wich turbo engines lack totally. Speed is not all there are plenty of fast cars out there.

    7:10 you can code the car with ncsexpert and ncsdummy and select the M3 instrumentcluster option to be able to use the M3 instrumentcluster in a regular 3 series. The ‘engine temperature meter’ will stop at your standard rpm limit once fully warmed up. That’s why you could’ve retrofitted the M3 cluster with your custom backplate with lighting up M3 logo and could’ve avoided the whole hassle. Still great video though!

    Good job.
    The main problem is appearing small air bubbles on red tape in time, when inside of the car becomes very hot in sunny weathers. So, rather i prefer to paint that than taping. Or you must use heat resistant tape.

    19:28 you do what you want to your car brother. Also, I have stuttering issues on cold start. Its smooth, hiccups, then once its done its warmup cycle its buttery smooth. Sometimes i hear my wastegates and on accel I get the hesitation but sometimes i don't hear the wastegates and the accel is smooth as butter. Everything is done, all oil gaskets, turbos, injectors, sparks, coils, hpfp, vanos, boost solenoids, silicone lines, clutch, you name it. Im attributing it to a failing crankshaft position sensor since im at 136k kms The tune is on the stock map 0 MHD for now until i figure it out. I also thought about upgrading my low pressure fuel sensor (with the new designed line) and the rail pressure sensor alongside the crankshaft sensor just to throw it all in.
    Let me know what you think brother. Low pressure fuel system/pump/regulator has also never been touched but here in canada I only use 91 petrol.

      You've recently changed the injectors? Are they the latest index 12? It sounds like leaking injectors from what you are describing.

    • @ltdasilva93
      @ltdasilva93 5 років тому

      @@VehicularDIY previous owner installed 3 new index 12s in bank 2 on August 2017. Last year April 2018 Installed 3 in bank 1, injector #2 sparkplug was wet so I bought a remanufactured index 12 and they have been dry since my last spark plug change. Im going to put back my NGK plugs since they are still good, I only put OEM boschs back to diagnose previous issues. I will check to see if any are wet with fuel again soon. If all spark plugs are dry, have a ruled out that problem? Thank you in advance. I'm not sure how to check if I have the latest version of index 12 Injectors but I do know they are all 12s and coded properly. Thank you

    • @VehicularDIY
      @VehicularDIY  5 років тому

      Yeah I'd say let it sit overnight then pull the plugs to see if any fuel is on top of the piston or the plugs are wet. It takes outs of sitting for the injectors to leak enough fuel to foul things out.

    Thx for great video! I would like to ask you . I want swap my original gauge (Vmax 260km/h without rev adjustable scale & cruise marker; 7500 rev max).
    I found out one peace of used gauge from 335i. But they end at 280kmh and rev max is at 8.000 rev.
    -> Q: Im wondering if it is possible to change speed range? Put a new gauge face with 260kmh and set it up from 280 -> to the 260? Also set the rev.max from 8000 to 7500?

    Please make an update video about the lsd conversion. I've heard many people are happy with the lsd for a week and after that it breaks or doesn't lock enough so it still feels as an open diff but with like 5-10% lock.

    • @VehicularDIY
      @VehicularDIY  5 років тому

      I definitely will, so far it's been consistent. Unfortunately I haven't been able to really push it due to my sub frame being cracked. It's cracked right were the passenger side engine mount is. The more I drive on it the more I can hear my down pipe hitting the frame due to the flex in that area. Otherwise I would have already really pushed it. I bought the new sub frame and will be doing a DIY on it shortly then I can really push the car. So far I've mostly tested while rolling and it's been consistent, you hear the tires chirps a bit but the car feels stable and doesn't pull to the right at all now.

    • @VehicularDIY
      @VehicularDIY  5 років тому

      Yeah it's just the aluminum subframe itself not the chassis so easy fix. I have almost 192K miles and the car has been making big torque for a long time. So the constant pressure of the engine putting all it's weight on the right side of the subframe probably took it's toll. I bought a really clean replacement subframe from a low mileage 328i for $180. I specifically went for a 328i as it wouldn't have been put under too much pressure.

      You want the parts to do the conversion? If so sure, I have an extra set of parts. The stepper motor, the ring and that white plastic piece etc. Shoot me a message if you want it.

    I don't understand why people put so much effort into modifying a non m-car with m-car stuff that doesn't do anything performance wise. Just drive man!

    ASE CERT TECH , This is foolishness, if u want and M3 then just buy one simple! what is the purpose of all of this!the calibration is way off and unrelaible , ull get alot of speeding tickets! Not to mention unreliable temps and guage readings! Just stick with what the manufacturer made!
