The problem with the Israeli tree from my perspective as someone who hasn't grinded it, is that the only real draw of the Tree is the Merkava, which while not a bad tank, still falls short of some of the other top MBTs. Almost everything else in Israel is just modified versions of stuff that can be found in other trees. It's also a tree without much in the way of future prospects, as we already have their best MBT, which compared to Germany and how good the A7V is, has even better variants that can come.
Hey Semicooperative, if I may. Please continue making this series but for lower brackets. As it stands the only other in depth review of warthunder's nations is Oxy's reviews which haven't been continued or updated in nearing 2 years now. Considering you have 5 nations at top tier, chances are that you have everything in between spaded which would be great content. I am currently on a yearly project to unlocking and spading every vehicle in the Chinese TT from reserve to 8.0. While I could already be spading 8.0 I'm taking a break while waiting for the anniversary to buy the tanks on a discount and while researching how to play some vehicles I find that there's very little even for the vehicles unique to the TT.
Agreed, I really like this series and I think it could be expanded to other battle ratings. Maybe look at particularly strong lineups that a nation might have, like China 9.0, Germany 9.3, Russia 10.3 etc.
@@ayuvir i like the idea, but I would need to refine the focus. - For example, a top tier review has pretty easy criteria i.e. How well does it's vehicles and line-ups work at 12.0. - I like the idea of doing lower tiers, but I'd need to figure out more precisely what I'm looking at and I'm still mulling that around.
tbh as someone who just recently unlocked the merkava mk3 (siman 3).. the only BR i had pain was 8.7, even tho some of the tanks has great shells like the tiran 6, other than that i really enjoyed the first tier rank 5.
Hopefully with the addition of SPYDER and an Eitan AFV this lineup will improve. Also the Namer has the first gen turret. From what I understand its now fielded with the Eitans turret which has Iron Fist APS. I personally love Israel even though its lacking in some areas. Cant wait to see what Gaijin adds to it in the future...F15I and F16I when???
@@alexparias3566 honestly, I'm surprised they didn't just start with the Iron Fist. APS aren't generally worth a full BR increase on their own, so if they add it later, it'll just make the current Namer 30 somewhat redundant
Is there any specific play style you would recommend for the Merkava Mk.4 series of tanks? I tend to struggle with them, though I think I could do better if I used a play style more suited for their performance.
@@freezerburn5680 so, top tier tanks in general heavily benefit from playing with confidence. Any tank can be taken out if it's stationary, both due to power of shells and revenge CAS, but you can't be mindlessly aggressive either considering how weak side armor generally is. - You always want to be moving if you're potentially going to get shot and looking for opportunities to upgrade your position (even moreso after the reload buff). - Much like an Abrams, it's about learning how much aggression you can get away with
@@semicooperative7188 Alright, thank you for the reply! I'll try my best to keep this in mind, usually I play over-aggressive or under-aggressive which gets me taken out.
The Israeli tech tree is fun if u want Soviet and American stuff mixed in, but be aware anything past mid tier your gonna be on the struggle bus for sure, and top tier is almost unplayable Israel is shackled with the American syndrome where you are constantly paired with almost exclusively American teammates who 1 death leave 1 death fly planes or just can't be bothered to defend points. So just be prepared to lose a lot of matches or be 1 of maybe 4 ground players playing against a whole enemy team. Is it still worth the grind sure if you like the merkava tank but that's kinda the only redeeming factor for this tree.
