I almost cried when she said she loves it at her new place, gene honestly has a heart of gold and deserves all the best. I have a brother who has a severe learning disability and the fact that she was able to move out on her own despite her disability proves what a warrior she is.

As someone who didn’t know much about this experience this opened my eyes in such an engaging way. Wonderful as always.
I absolutely LOVED this video, it’s so so so refreshing to be able to see this kind of content be made to exhibit how people with more complex needs live, my brother has autism and at 26 he’s still living at home with mum and dad, there’s comments from people all the time about what happens next for him and why he isn’t progressing, his disability isn’t obvious or visually apparent so i feel people struggle to empathise at times and it’s frustrating, it’s so easy for those that are a little different to be put into boxes and isolated and for those that don’t necessarily have experience to have the confidence to interact with them which is absurd as as soon as you do offer that conversation it becomes so blatant that we are all humans and therefore have more in common than we do differences, my brother is absolutely hilarious and it’s a shame to me that more people don’t get the opportunity to find that out, I am so proud of Gene!! She’s living her best life and I’m so excited for her to have all the independence she needs with her new friends! Let her know that there are much more nice people in the world than the ‘horrible’ ones we’ve just got to work out a way to show them how great her and her friends are!
I really love these videos you make about Gene. It's not often that stories about disability are showcased in such a positive light to such a large audience, and it's just so bloody wonderful to see how much she's truly living her best life. My aunt has learning disability and she's the kindest, funniest and most caring person ever. She's always been the one feeding us all the sweets and she makes the best tea.

As someone who works with people on the spectrum, people with very severe learning disabilities and I my self have a mild learning disability this touched my heart. Thank you for this and your sister is absolutely amazing!
