    You're such a good director! I love the red objects, like Dodie watching the rose /relationship be destroyed, then letting the balloon /the relationship go, then passing on the beret/relationship to the 'next person' willingly at the end. I read too much into stuff lol, but you're clever! Bravo!

    I've thought of another meaning behind the red things as well as bookmarking and symbolising love etc. The lyrics say "Why do all the red flags just look like so much fun?", so that links back to the idea of red flags, danger signs that become something nice when you're in love, like being given flowers or a balloon only to tear the petals from the rose, and have the balloon fly off. Just a thought. Loved this, and the music video. Nice job! x

    To me, the music video for "You" definitely matched the lyrics, song and tone. When I first heard it I thought, "Paris, a hopeless romantic and a funny twist" and to me, you nailed it. This is, I think, my favourite dodie music video so far. I love your work and I can't wait for more!!

    I love this "making of" vid, Bert! I like dissections of films, in particular (not of anything else, like dead things because... just, no) like when Dodie dissected her song, Intertwined. Was expecting for there to be one for You and here it is! So thanks. Job well done, I think, and all the elements that just needed vocalizing was addressed with this and so... yeah. That's all :)

The first video I ever remember seeing of yours was back when you used to make videos with your two friends and the content you are currently making is really good and creative, your talent has grown very much.     I'm a newcomer to dodie's music, and I saw the video for "You" for the first time yesterday (20 Nov), and I've gotta say, what a great concept for the video Mr Gilbert. I love the lyrics, and your concept for the video fits them so well.
    Dodie's singing/song-writing is beautiful, your film-making is wonderful...what a great "pairing", as it were. Very, very nice indeed.

    you have done your job, quite well. Personally zooms just make me laugh like an idiot,so,it was really light on the surface as you wanted to and as you said if you dig deeper there is that sadness hidden between the lines. I didn't really expect this kind of thing from you, i am really pleased with it, i love seeing your kind of psychological and philosophical style merge with dodie's song and a more light project.
