"it happened because i was in a shit way, and im no longer in a shit way because it happened" creation, in a nutshell. i love the autobiographic feels of this. obviously vlogs are autobiographical but the style just seems to ring far more true than the typical approach; its like watching a novel, with chapters and narration and monologues and dialogue, albeit a bit of a crazy novel. the structure of these vlogs are seriously great!! and i also love the way you film people. like you capture them in their peopleness. i loved the little transition with the bunch of people, like moving portraits, laughing.

the part about fear resonated with me so much, man - ever since i've finished university, i've had this constant fear creeping up on me thinking anything i do from now could result in me dying and wasting the life i've worked so hard to get to where i am now. about two weeks ago i had a trip with two friends to Venice - we were coming from three different cities so each of us had a flight on their own. i was terrified since january about this whole trip. i felt like this was going to be the day something goes wrong (the same way you speculated) and i am done for. i literally cried the day before to my boyfriend and told him how scared i was that i might never see him again. i have no idea why this happened. i've never really been the traveling sort, and i do have a long history of being scared of flights - but i never had so much anxiety about traveling. i've also learnt a lot from it and i hope i've become more accepting of the fact that i cannot control my life entirely, but i have to make memories and get out of my comfort zone a little bit and not surrender to the safety of my home to never experience anything new again.
Bertie, you are amazing as all ways. And in this vlog you showed us something we are rarely able to see: Dean Dobbs being his normal, clever self and not being cast and scripted as a dunce like in all the Jack and Dean sketches. You two had such a witty back and forth that I don't understand why we can't see more of that in scripts instead of the same gag: always putting his character down every time. Anyway, this was lovely and if you could get Dean to vlog again that would be awesome.
I'm.so happy seeing this, I sound like a teenage fangirl I am ashamed, but something is so comforting about these vlogs, it's also it's nice to see my city of London to be showcased, this is amazing
I don't know why, but besides all the deep and personal and beautiful aesthetic this is literally still one of the videos that has made me laugh the hardest of all time. Every time.
