I own two Ridge wallets and, I know they never will, but I just wish Ridge would sell the outside materials separately. The material is so thin, I just think the cost would be much easier to swallow if you only had to spend $30-$50 bucks for the leather or titanium or carbon fiber as opposed to $100 plus for an entire wallet.
Hello! We noticed that you've made multiple purchases of Ridge Wallets, and as a new wallet manufacturer, we'd love to conduct some research on the reasons behind your repeat purchases. We value your support, and we're even willing to compensate you for your time. Would you be interested in helping us by sharing why you've chosen to purchase Ridge Wallets repeatedly? We appreciate your assistance!
I ordered the tobacco brown. Should be here any day now. It’s nice to see them offer a leather option. And the leather on the cash strap looks a lot better than the aluminum in my opinion. Would be nice to see that on all the wallets.
I am considering this leather version because it would seem not to scratch items in your pocket such as phone screen for example compared to the metal version.
One of the reasons I don't use my carbon fiber Ridge wallet is that I didn't like the feel of the wallet when i reached for it in my pocket. I didn't like the feel of hard metal and sharp edges of the wallet. This new wallet should feel better in my hands and give me a better experience.
I got the royal black two weeks ago and after a few days the leather smell goes away but it’s holding up. Like you said it would be great to know where that leather came from.
I have the black leather one and the carbon fiber. There’s definitely a softer feel on the leather one that just makes it feel like a leather wallet in the pocket verses the carbon fiber. I’m actually waiting on the distil union wally micro that looks much more user friendly then the ridge but we’ll see
How is the leather holding up on the ridge? I would think it would feel better in the pocket compared to the metal version. How is the wally wallet, is it better than ridge?
@@MrJaguy30the leather held up great. Scratches on keys and stuff like a normal leather wallet. The feeling in the pocket isn’t much different but in the hands it feels great like a leather wallet with the nice minimalism you get from a ridge wallet. Recommend. Hope all that helped
Love ridge wallets. The only down side is that they get scratched easily and scratches yours cards inside. The leather option may alleviate the outside scratch issues
A leather sheathed Ridge wallet? Similar design, but none-the-less different. I think I will stick with Ridges Forged Ember design. I have been carrying an Exter carbon fiber wallet for the past 14 months and have been impressed by how well the finish has held up. I recently picked up a Ridge Forged Ember offering to see how well it's durability will compare to the Exter carbon fiber design. Have you seen Ridge Wallets Leather Biflex wallet...it's all leather and elastic strapping? Looks interesting. Thank you for another interesting review!~
its about time they should come with new wallet design, they just create new style for the same thing so much that it soon wont be interesting anymore even for existing customers, regarding leather goods it seems like this is new territory for a wallet company like ridge, they created their marketing around ridge wallet being an alternative to bulky leather bifolds and now they are into leather game, fine but people that loves leather really wish to know more about it and how it is made or treated / sourced, they love all the manufacturing behind it and it really gives a product magic when you know somebody made it by hand and cared for the best quality , but im afraid that since this is made in china there is only little to tell about it .... besides the most economic cost that went into it and profit that will come out of it.... and since its made in china i guess this is very same leather as in rossm wallet
I’ve been saying that for a few years now that they should make a new design. Why only release the same wallet over and over with new colors when you could come up with something new
I am a bit curious, so if you press at the part there the strap goes through does the leather bend ? I wonder if long-term leather will sag a bit in that area and it will develop an uneven look. While I am not a fan of Ridge Wallet, this one is a step in interesting direction. P.s. I have to mention that you grew significantly in video quality over the period of time I follow you. Camera work, picture quality etc. is getting top notch at least in my opinion.
Which part are you talking about? I don’t think the leather will bend anywhere on this wallet except for the patch on the elastic band. And thank you for the compliment
Got this for my dad and Carbon 3k for myself, it’d be great if anyone could lmk about pros and cons, I’ve had a ripoff aluminum ridge wallet for a few months now.
I had a ridge wallet and having a chunk of metal in your pocket sucks. Im wondering if the leather on the outside makes it a little softer in your pocket because I do like the design.
I’m enjoying mine. I had a Damascus Ridge before. Cool to look at, but couldn’t put anything else in the same pocket- because the wallet would scratch it. I keep this one in the same pocket as my phone, with no worries.
I did a review on Groove life. It’s a great wallet but has its faults too. There are hundreds of wallets man, and I still haven’t found one that’s absolutely perfect. Do you have a Ridge?
Cool… ya gotta like leather! Sump’n new to add to the collection of metals and another reason for the wife to repeat “why do you need so many wallets”..🫤 Full-grain is best. Top-grain leather and Genuine leather are cheese, but they can still slip ya a Mickey if the description says: “made with full-grain leather”… that’s cheese-speak for only part of it is full-grain. Ridge is pretty cool, so I wouldn’t think they would skimp on the good stuff. 👍
for the price they charge and for the amount of leather needed basically there is zero point to skimp on full grain. And full grain is a start , naturally tanned full grain is the good stuff and shell cordovan is the best stuff.

I really like the leather on the cash strap. Agreed that it should be offered on all their wallets foot
How do you like it? I second that..

Always love leather EDC gears!
I might get it. I have the Ekster carbon fiber now but liking that leather money clip.😊
How does the thickness compare to the stonewashed? Ridge website specifies they are both 6mm thick, however looks about 2mm thicker??
Have had a ridge for 3 years great product

The tobacco brown does look awesome and I love the new strap, but for 125 you can get two handmade beautiful leather wallets.
Two cheap ones
rossm wallet brown leather... identical in look and quality. but cost 40 euros.. thank me later
@@ro794no if you buy expensive ones 😏

Ridge Biflex came out. 👀
Yes I saw!
5:01 Yes, to be fair that's how I got introduced to your channel as well

I have 3 biflex wallets as we speak getting ready to record some content on them. It’s interesting
Did trayvax contour really lose your edc spot? I refuse to carry any other wallet.
I own over 150 wallets so I switch out all the time. I’ll still carry a contour from time to time

I was wondering recently why they didn't do this years ago. They may finally have me, if this money clip experiment doesn't work out for me

Very impressed. Not gonna get one though
where did u get those filler white cards. do they have nfc?
From Amazon. They real credit cards just nothing written on them. Just type in blank credit cards and you’ll see a bunch of options.
@@ChrispyThings thanks. do you have a link for your ones? the ones i can find are all blank without the visible chip that i like on yours

You should do another Ashland leather wallet

Leather is so thin it will make very easy to scatch and what kind of leather is it full grain not sure if it's leather same old same old stuff
I mentioned it was full grain oil waxed multiple times in this video. I just don’t know what type or where it was sourced from
Have any leather ridge owners cleaned or conditioned their wallets at all?
I’ve been carrying this since it came out and haven’t conditioned it yet
Nice review ..but…im not a fan of this wallet….ill stick with my all leather wallets.. ty cris
They come with good designs and thats it. As far as fuctionality goes they are SHIT!
Wrong shirt
Trayvax is still better
So is Secrid, Groove Life, Aviator
Ridge sucks. Groove Life is the way to go, way faster at accessing cards.....

I hope they didn’t skimp. I was planning on contacting my rep at The Ridge to see if he had more info. I’ll pass it along if I do.

Ridge wallets are really cheesey compared to what' else is out there
I don’t miss a day a week kislux This show..
