It was nice to see you with yours still after 3 years I just recieved mine today as well as the key holder I hope mine will hold up as well as yours has after 3 years thank you again for sharing your review, I like the way you find your cards and place them back in the wallet.
12 cards/ always have at least 60 cash/ money clip version have had mine for two years got it ran over by a reach truck at work and still looks new..somewhat 😀😀, I love mine so much and it’s always a conversation starter, really bad ass review, you cover all the points
Debating to order or not for myself for a "small-purse-day" so this was very helpful to see the 3-year wear-and-tear. It looked great on this rustic/rugged color that you have but not sure for Pink or floral design that I was going for. Thanks anyway and I love the tatoo!!!
I treated myself to the burnt titanium version few years back, and still use it today. 4:45 I use about 5-6 cards, but my daily takeout cards would be my debit card, and my public transit card. Those two cards would be on the outer side, so when I push the cards out slightly thru the notch and pull the single card out from the side. My ID, licence, medical cards will be on the inner side , so whenever I need that card, I push the cards slightly, and then pinch the bottom, so the cards fan out, and you just pick out the single card...easy! Hope that helps.
It's the method I use also it works very well, another idea I use is a business card both ends so no card is in contact with the metal so not to wear, they are really thin so not to take any room.
As far as pulling the card(s) you need, you can push your cards with your left thumb at the groove. Then, use your other hand to start fanning the cards slightly at an angle using both hands. If done correctly, it should look like you’re holding a deck of cards. The other side of the wallet will basically hold the cards in place while they are fanned out, allowing you to pull out the card you need. The idea is to simply place the card back into the “stack” and push the fanned cards back into the wallet. This way (if I explained it correctly) won’t require you to pull all of your cards completely out of the wallet, and then, having to struggle to put them all back into the wallet.
Mine is like 6 years old... I took the money clip off 4 months in and have loved it ever since. Although i might have to replace the elastic soon, i had it over stuffed for a year or so with company test badges
@@brucechastainreviews the Kickstarter ended in 2014, i picked mine up on 2016. Its been used to store RFID creds from a financial institution that i worked for. Looks like its been around for a lot less time than i thought... In '16 i thought it was a well established brand. Looks like i have to eat my words, my original purchase was on 3/11 17... I was close considering i frequently don't know what day of the week it is :)
Ive had the forged ember carbon wallet for basically two years now and the surface has taken virtually 0 damage. My cash belt looks kinda like yours but it seems the carbon wallets take no damage at all!
Cash is not supposed to slide in easily. It has ridges under the the strap to prevent money from sliding from underneath it. But that also applies when you slide money under it. It isn't going to slide in easily.
I still use mines and it's very durable. I think I carry too much cards because when I pinch the bottom the CCs all of them pops out. I don't particularly like the cash strap because the bills slides around so I'll be replacing it with a clip instead. I don't that much cash but for larger bills I fold and place it in-between. People see all that cash and you're an easy target for robbery.
@@brucechastainreviews When you order the clip you get it with the elastic band. I just changed mines and it's very simple, I had to watch the Ridge UA-cam to do it. I like it better than the strap money holder. I bought a new one with the clip because of a new style plus it was on sale and ordered only the clip for my old one.
Your cash strap is not sopposed to be super smooth as the strap had tiny teeth under it to prevent cash from slipping out. There way overpriced for what you get!!
I bought one a few days ago. It went straight back. This is two pieces of metal sandwiching some plastic and all held together with three pieces of elastic. Once you put more than 4 cards in it, it is not easy to get them out. Honestly, it's the worst design wallet I've ever seen.
It’s not for everyone. I love it because I can’t tell it’s in my pocket, I have a tracker on it, it’s durable, quality is unmatched, and there’s a lifetime warranty. My current one got ran over my a car and it got completely messed up. Was still in a decent condition, but I submitted a warranty claim. They messaged me back ASAP, and gave me a huge discount on a new one because I wanted a new one. You’re not particularly paying for the minimalist wallet, you’re paying for the quality, the look, and the lifetime warranty. The company is unmatched. Yes, it’s pricey. But if you think about it, long term it’s a better investment than a traditional wallet or fake replica of this.
@@collin2791 it's hardly cutting edge and can't hold anywhere near the amount of cards as a normal wallet. It's price point is ridiculous based on those two facts.
I love mine and it hold 15 cards with no issues. Will never go back to a traditional wallet. Just works perfect and nice and small and saves me from filling a wallet with things I don’t need.
The tattoo had me laughing 😂 😂
I use a different body part to measure things accurately. It just takes a long time to do because I have to measure everything in one inch increments

Fantastic casual ruler tattoo flex! Awesome review
thanks Nish!

I'll give it a try but not sure I'm organized enough for that lol

Does the burnt titanium show wear like the one in the video?
@@daveunknown01 Yes definitely, after years of use, titanium will subject to wear. Still looks awesome after all these years of usage.
Excellent review, sir.
Thank you kindly!
Great review man,, it's a great look at how well the wallets will last and look.... keep up the great work 👍I have liked and followed 👍😀
Much appreciated!
The wear on the aluminum plates actually looks cool.

nice! I wonder how old the oldest wallet is? Like when did the company even start, I had the impression they were fairly new.

You sold me on both the ridge wallet and a ruler tattoo
haha thank you Robadoba!
That tattoo is awesome!!!
thank you!
I about lost it when he pulled out the ruler tat lol

I got the Ridge wallet. After 8 months of use, I go back to use my good old leather bifold wallet. Ridge wallet scratches the hell out of my cards.
that's weird, I just checked my cards and they seem to be scratch free. Maybe there was a screw lose and sticking out or something.
Been using the same wallet for a few months now. My one complaint is it can be a pain in the ass getting a certain card out.
Same, so like I was trying to say that's why I tend to take them all out each time and grab the one I want that way.

I didn't know you could convert it to a clip style. Or are you saying you'll get a new one with a clip?

Good quality
do you regularly calibrate that ruler?
Haha yes I'm hoping over time i can adjust how much my arm is bent to work as an adjuster.
I use mine with most of currencies the bill needs to be folded into 4, so in half and again in half (3 creases)
Got the Damascus with free air tag and for 150 during their sale. Like this version too.
they have air tags now too? Wow I'm learning so much about the wallet after making this video.
Well, a cover/attachment for them. They don’t actually sell the airtags
I'm sure this will get very popular!
The wallet or the video?!
@@brucechastainreviews The Video will
Fresh ink! Is the color gun metal?
thanks man! I'm not really sure about the color, guess so, looks like gun metal.
Any issues with the color inside rubbing on the cards?
Not the color of the wallet rubbing off, but same as a normal wallet I do see some rubbing marks on the cards.
WTF why did you get a ruler tattoo? (Not judging, just asking)
Just so I could measure things :) actually Adam Savage has one so that gave me the idea.
Savage is a cool guy 🔥👍
time to blow up!
What blow up?!
Unless you lose (or misplace) your left arm, you’re good to go…. 😆
haha true!

It looks awful...
really think so? I like the weathered look. But for sure it didn't keep it's new look.
Love ur ruler 😂😂
thanks!
I kind of like things to not jab me from every angle when I move... you know, like an actual wallet.
what this one jabs you?
I get jabbed more often by my ink pen than i do my wallet...
