I`m in the Uk ,and don`t have a sweet tooth , but a late Aunt of mine introduced me to the Cadburys mini eggs (you can buy big bags here too:) ,and i was hooked!! GLad you enjoyed our Easter selection.This year the eggs are very cheap ,as we`re locked down once again ,so not many people are out buying them.Hope all went well with the new little one (I`m new here:)..Take care and stay safe.Xxx
Yaay! I absolutely loved watching this. So awesome seeing your reactions and first impressions to things that I’m so used to! Although saying that a lot of these items are actually new this year. Those cheese and onion crisps, Kit Kat bunny, aero eggs and the Maynard happi-nests so definitely wanted to put them in the box this year 😀
When I was younger the mini eggs used to be inside the Easter egg and the egg came as a whole not in two halves but sadly they don’t do that anymore. Maybe they see it as a choking hazard? Shame though as we used to love breaking the eggs to get to the treats in the centre 😍 I’m glad you still enjoyed the experience though ☺️ Thank you for sharing this box with your lovely followers. The Bunny Rabbit Maltese looks like what our American Candy we get at the movies called "Whoppers"which are round chocolate covered balls. It is a MALTED dry filling. They manufacturer might have just taken the round Whopper Ball fillings and put them inside of Bunny Rabbit Mold, hence the round circles when you bit into the Bunny Rabbit.

Happy early Easter Hailey & Nathan, I'm an Aero addict and can't avoid the temptation of visiting the sweet aisle to grab me a bar every shopping trip, the Kit Kat is normally a wafer but the one you had must be a special Easter production. Easter is my favourite time of the year, something about the taste of a Cadbury's choc egg that is unbeatable. Hope you are both well and that your sugar levels have dropped slightly..lol. We hope you are staying safe and well, too, Stephen! And yes, Happy early Easter!! We will say, we enjoyed the Aero eggs a lot more when we had them on their own and not being overpowered by all the other sweets. Good Easter chocolate is some of the best!

When I was a kid the sweeties were always inside the egg unless it was a chocolate bar like Yorkie or Mars bar then that was outside the egg, not sure now why this is, it's got to be something the Health & Saftey brigade have come up with no doubt, my favourite was alway Jelly Tots. Great video 😁👍

When I was a kid you used to get the mini eggs, smarties or whatever kind of egg you had inside the big chocolate egg but it’s not done anymore.
It is sad that that experience is no longer available...

Malteasers are filled with malted biscuit.
Walkers Max is not the best ridged crisp. I would say McCoys / Brannigans have the best flavour and crunch so would recommend giving those a go if you can. The ham and mustard Brannigans are especially good.
If you like Tunnocks Caramel I think you'd like Blue Ribands. They're chocolate and wafer but a smaller stack.
You mentioned a few items that we’ve never heard of and would love to try one day! We have had McCoy’s ridged crisps and they were very delicious!!

Drumsticks are yummy, the lollies you tried came out first, they have been a sweet bag staple for decades, the squashies came out a few years ago and now here in the UK, I had seen and tasted Drumsticks/Squashie Ice Lollies, which smell and taste just as good as the lollies..
The KitKat Bunnies have tiny bits of KitKat in them and the Malteser Bunnies have bits of Malteser in them.. Also very yummy..
Galaxy eggs, oh my goodness they are to die for, I am a Galaxy chocolate fan..

On the caramel wafer, think about the withdrawal symptoms we had here when the Tunnocks factory closed in March for the coronavirus lockdown, and the shops were completely out of them and the marshmallow teacakes...
Maltesers are malted milk balls covered in chocolate. The bunny has the same filling, just shaped slightly differently.
Your normal Kit-Kats are the same as ours.
Drumstick lollies are the original drumsticks - squashies came out a few years ago, the lollies have been around since at least the 70s.
When I was a kid you used to get the mini eggs (or chocolate buttons or whatever) inside the big Easter egg, but they stopped doing that at some point. I'm not sure why, cos as far as I know it's still allowed. Probably some production reason.
Oh man...all of you in the UK must’ve gone extra stir crazy being locked at home without your Tunnocks. Have they opened up for production at all since March? Thanks for sharing all the other information with us about the sweets we had. We agree that it must be an ease of production decision for them to not have the little eggs inside the big one.
The mini eggs Easter egg is one of many small Easter eggs the boxes come in a few different sizes and in quite a lot of different chocolate bars! I love my Easter eggs from the fridge. You just eat the Easter eggs, but you can melt the chocolate and Maher corn flake cakes if you have Easter eggs left after Easter and you want something different!

Kitkat's started in UK. Funny thing is, when I used to visit Canada I preferred their Kitkat's.

Easter chocolate is better than typical valentines chocolate for sure! Though, a good chocolate covered strawberry on Valentine’s Day is absolutely delicious!
We give each other Easter eggs in our family,and when myself and my two sisters were younger we would go and find the eggs that our parents hid in the bedroom,it was a easter tradition in our family.

Love watching you guys, many years ago mini eggs would have been inside. Same with buttons and smarties. But I guess health and safety stopped it and they became separate.
Too bad they don’t put the small packages of those items inside the chocolate egg! That way it’s still safe but you get the fun surprise of something being actually inside the egg.
Maltesers are malt balls (whoppers) but at easter they shape them into bunnies and at xmas you get them shaped like reindeer

Our kitkats are the same as yours (but taste nicer!) The KitKat bunny is new this year, I think its to compete with the Malteaser bunny!

Drumstick (original raspberry/milk) are a classic retro lolly and have been around for 60 years, squashie sweet that have been around 4/5 years are a take on off retro favourite sweets with the classic original flavours in a gummy form 😋... uk Kit Kat’s and just the classic two finger wafers but we have a few different flavours, cook cream, dark choc , mint, orange, lemon drizzle, mocha (my favourite) also we have chunky kitkats in milk, peanut butter, white and other limited flavours. Maltesers are a better version off whopper with a malt ball inside xx
We here in the States are starting to get those assorted KitKat flavors/styles. They are super fun! And we agree that maltesers are better than whoppers 😉

Best to keep our UK chocolate in the fridge. The chocolate in the US is more waxy in texture to withstand higher temps. Chocolate is so beloved because it happens to melt at the same temperature as body heat. It hits that pleasure spot in the brain. Also want to mention that many of the choc bars in the UK were invented by 2 Yorkshire family firms [ land of your favourite tea!] Rowntree mcIntosh [ first producers of the Kitkat ] and Terry's of York [ makers of the famous chocolate orange ]. Sadly both were sold to larger companies [ like the dreaded Nestle ]. Even Cadbury's went that way. Recipes were changed and products dropped. I still miss Terry's Neopolitan's at Christmas. Does anyone remember them? Sorry, I've high-jacked your site!

You would think they’d have a clause in the seller agreement to keep the recipes as is so that the product that they developed can live on in its original form.
Maltesers are flavoured with Malt and usually in little balls, if you liked them you would love Ovaltine which is a malty hot chocolate drink that you make with hot milk

Our kitkats do have a wafer inside them but when it comes to Easter they change it to minimal just like the malteser bunnies. Inside the malteser bunny it's malt consistency,their similar to your whoppers? But better crunch and chocolate in my opinion! And the drumstick lollies both flavours you can get in squashies too even the cherry & apple is sour as a squashie. When I was 7 I had a skateboarding accident that chipped one of my front upper incisors in half. The other half has a glued on filling. This means I can only really bite into food on one side. A Drumstick when on a school holiday in France caused the filling to stick to the Drumstick and come off completely. Since then I have avoided Drumsticks.
Oh boy! That’s bad!! Maybe the Squashies Drumsticks would be a good option for you since they are a foam sweet and not sticky/chewy...
MALTeaser is malt. In America we have whoppers it’s a Malted milk balls same idea.
I love these videos! Hope you have a great Easter. Just to answer a few of your questions: Our Kit Kats are like yours with the wafers. These bunnies are new this year so the texture and filling is completely new to us too! The Malteaser bunny has a malt filling. Malteasers are just chocolate coated malt balls so the little balls inside the bunny are mini malt balls and the smooth filling is a malt filling. Not to sure myself what that entails but I know it tastes good! Finally Squashies are based off the drumsticks you tried in this video. The lollies/chewies are the original sweets that have been going for years. Recently the old fashioned sweet companies Swizzels and Barrat have made Squashies and Softies, soft foamy versions of their classic sweets. Hope this helps!

Normal Maltesers are very similar (though nicer in my opinion) to your Whoppers. But they usually put little bits in their other items. When I was a child Easter eggs did always have the chocolates inside. I think health & safety put a stop to that, plus it’s cheaper for them to make (eg all the Cadbury ones have the exact same egg). There are some now have gone back to having them inside (Nestlé ones I think). The Swizzels drumsticks always used to be Just the chewy ones. It’s only on the last couple of years they’ve made the Squashies in the same flavours as the original ones. Other sweets have recently got squashy versions too.
Squashy versions are some of our favorites! We would have to agree with you that maltesers is better than whoppers.
Yorkshire tea is the best out of all of them.. I'm biased though as I'm from Yorkshire lol there's an old fashioned tea rooms in York and they do yorkshire tea it's always queued out the door you get can get a cream tea which is traditional.. Its a cream cake with a cup of tea.. Its called Betty's tearooms...oh and pipers crisp factory is literally 15 minutes away from where I live I pass it all the time lol Pepsi have just bought them out. X

There’s definitely a difference in flavour between the regular Maltesers and the bunny, I too prefer the Maltesers I have a love for malt, I always hoped to get a decent chocolate malted when I visited the U.S. but Starbucks no longer sold them 😔 I make my own now.
Enjoyed your video have you tried frys chocolate cream bar a dark chocolate (Frys was the first company to produce a chocolate bar) a big difference ive noticed between us Brits is that we tend lets the chocolate melt in the mouth and not chew the chocs
Glad you enjoyed the video! We have a chocolate brand here in the States called Wilbur Chocolate and it’s one that we suck on and let melt in our mouths cause it’s super creamy. We need to do this more with the British chocolates we get! We’ve only tried one Fry’s chocolate bar before, but it’s been awhile so we can’t remember which one it was...
Kit Kats were created by Rowntrees of York in the UK, and the same chocolate covered wafer fingers remain unchanged over the years. The Kit Kat Bunny you tried was simply an Easter novelty.
We are familiar with Rowntrees! Seems like they have been the company behind a lot of the sweets we’ve tried from the UK.
@@FromtheHobbitHole They certainly made some well known sweets like Smarties, Kit Kat, Toffee Crisp, Caramac, Rolo, Aero, Yorkie and Lion Bar to name a few of the chocolate brands. Unfortunately, the brands were sold off to Nestle and Hershey's in the 80's, sadly, the quality of these brands took a nosedive in my opinion! Rowntrees seem to dabble more these days in what you call gummies. I would probably say that Cadbury's are our staple when it comes to sweets, but we are fortunate that we are blessed with great confectionery in the UK.
We heard that the selling of those brands did change the quality, and not for the better...so sad! Anything we have had with the Rowntrees name on have been gummy related.

Nestle chocolate is OKish, but those brands made under licence in the US for the US market by Hershey, like Kit Kats and Rolo's, I'm sad to say don't taste as good....Sorry! I guess it's like most things, where there is a familiarity with brands, and if you don't know any different, then it's fine!!
You’re exactly right, because we really do love our Hershey’s brand of chocolates (Kisses aren’t our favorite though). But the UK versions of this chocolates we do have definitely do have a nicer richness to them that we thoroughly enjoy!

A very popular thing in my household is the easter egg hunt where I will get a box of chocolate eggs (normal egg size) about 20 and hide them round the garden and my kids and there cousins then go hunting them

Easter is a very big deal over here! Egg hunts, candy/chocolate themed around Easter, going to church, and family get-togethers all make up Easter traditions for us. Our egg hunts typically revolve around plastic eggs that open up and in turn can have chocolate or even money stashed in them!

Kit Kat are usually wafer in the UK too. And I've noticed Americans call toffee caramel. Toffee is hard caramel. Like, at Halloween we say toffee apples.....caramel apples would be messy and soft. lol. So what is toffee in America 🤔
Most Americans, including us, probably never knew the actual difference between toffee and caramel so we end up calling it whatever comes out of our mouths 😅

@BigC90 90 I used to hate when I was a kid and only toffees were left in boxes of chocolates. My least favourite because you had to chew them for ages lol!
I grew up in Philly, and I don’t know what squashy candy is. I’m 71, so maybe it was after my childhood.
Squashies are soft chewy sweets that we really love! We found out recently that they are relatively newer to the market

Kind curious to know if you guys have ever tried Ribena. If you ever get sent it its a blackcurrant soft drink that needs to be diluted. Thought you might be interested as you like blackcurrant.
We have! Ribena is what turned us on to black currant 😁

Normal maltesers, are similar to American malt balls or whoppers.
But the maltesers taste sooo much better than whoppers!

Kit Kats are normally a Wafer covered in chocolate. In the States they are made by Reeses Candy a division of Hershey, under licence from Nestle! Hershey only have and keep the licence providing the Hershey company is not sold and this prevented a major takeover that Hershey wanted in 2002! American Kit Kats taste slightly different to the UK because Hershey use a different method to produce chocolate . Hershey will neither confirm nor deny that their process uses Butyric Acid which is what gives the taste and smell to human vomit (sorry). In Europe Butyric Acid is on the dangerous substances list and banned in foodstuffs! Additionally, in the States chocolate is required to have a minimum of 10% Cocoa solids, whereas in the UK the minimum is 20%!
We didn’t know about those percentages but we knew about the butyric acid...which we have a hard time picking up on that vomit taste (mostly since we are used to it. Lol). But we always can tell a difference with UK chocolate and how it tastes richer and creamier!

Am I the only one who doesnt see all the hype for tunnocks caramel?
I think that most chocolate wafers tend to max out the chocolate which tends to dominate the wafer (like kit kat for example). Tunnocks has a lot of wafer with a bit of chocolate so it's a great choice if you're more of a wafer fan than a chocolate fan. And the caramel flavor is good too. They are probably good dunkers too.
I would say that both the bunnies are slightly different inside from their larger counter parts.Kit Kats have wafer,Maltesers are more kind of honeycomb like inside. Drumstick lollies came first,years ago,before the Squashies,the raspberry and milk is the original flavour. I agree with the caramel eggs.I love the Cadbury one and prefer it to the Galaxy one.The caramel is different.I do like both types of chocolate though.There is an Oreo egg too,which is yummy. Easter eggs used to have the sweets inside,not sure why they were changed.Do you not have them in the USA?
Most of our Easter Candy is made by two brands...Russell Stover, and Palmer. Hershey’s does their own thing with the Cadbury line that they make, but we’ve never seen the large Easter egg (just the typical Cadbury Creme egg). That Oreo egg sounds devine!
Cadbury’s chocolate is so much nicer than galaxy, I don’t like the taste of galaxy chocolate, tunnocks is one of my favourite chocolate bars yummy 😋 great video Hailey & Nathan x
