"How Much I Feel" is a 1978 song by American rock band Ambrosia. The song, written by the band's guitarist/vocalist David Pack, was released in the summer of 1978 as the lead single from their third album, Life Beyond L.A., peaking at position three on the Billboard Hot 100 chart[3] and number two for three weeks on the Cash Box Top 100.[4]
Ambrosia is a part of the yacht rock category in music, I grew up during this time and yacht rock was and is amazing.
The Rock/R&B lane. Love it E!!!
Listen to their song "You're the Only Woman".
Same as player you have they had a number songs that lasted even today
Yea Empress they're an awesome blue-eyed soul band. You'll probably really like Kenny Loggins, especially collabs he did like with Shanice for the song Love Will Follow, live from the Redwoods!
I was married once. I will never forget.
Yacht Rock …. oh so good ! 💛
I love this song.. but yeahh...his poor wife lololol
😂😂
Ambrosia one of my favorite groups of the late 70s and early 80s
love this song. It's complicated ~tjb~
***(more) AMBROSIA TRIVIA TIME!!*** ....do you love what you FEEL!???
- ....I'm gonna chime in like the others, and say I'm AMAZED at Empresses' latest choices; she REALLY goes further than other reactors, and She seems to really love the late70's - early 80's CLASSIC Artists...such as, ***AMBROSIA!*** ...They are one of THE GODFATHERS of "Yacht Rock", the smooth sexy L.A. sound that dominated 1977-1984; this was the 1st tune from their "Life Beyond L.A." Album....
- ....David Pack (the lead) is a VERY successful Singer / Songwriter, and their 1980 hit, "Biggest Part Of Me", makes them THOUSANDS of dollars (monthly!) in Radio play, due to Music licensing..... (7:11)
- The TOP Godfathers Of "Yacht Rock" are:
Hall & Oates
Ambrosia
Michael McDonald / Doobie Brothers
Boz Scaggs
Robbie Dupree
Christoper Cross
Kenny Loggins
TOTO
Player
Orleans
Steely Dan
......"How Much..." hit #3 Pop Summer, 1978, and, is a Yacht Rock CLASSIC....
Oh wow‼️
the awesome lead singer is the guy on the far-left end, david pack. ironically, when david wrote and recorded this song, he was deaf in one ear and it made it difficult for him to sing and compose songs well, but still came up with stunners like "how much i feel" - my favourite ambrosia song ❤
Oh wow‼️
Lead singer is the guy on the other end - David Pack. One of the best voices in the business IMO.
Right there with you 👍
oh wow!!
@@EmpressReacts The goofy looking man on the far left is the Lead singer. All their released singles were so good!
David Pack is the lead singer and songwriter..great voice .underrated band in my opinion...they dont write songs like this anymore do they? I love your reaction ! ❤
thanks!
First this then Player? Blue eyed soul at its best. David Pack is the blonde fellow on the left of the picture. He and Michael McDonald are long time friends and musical collaborators. Game recognizes game.
Oh cool
Love ❤️ your reactions!! Try their song your the only woman!! Their music is amazing, we grew up on it
Another great addition to the Yacht Rock collection! Ambrosia knew how to sing all about the feels!
Agreed, but what is a Yacht Rock Collection?
Seen them several times and the crazy thing is David Pack sounds even better live. Holding on to Yesterday was always one of my favorites.
Hi Empress, Ambrosia is absolutely soulful & smoother than melted butter!!! Great reaction too my friend...Keep it going!!!
Thank you so much 🤗
A really good song that enjoyed a lot of radio airplay. Thank you.
Thank you too!
The guy on the right is bassist Joe Puerta, who later on played in Bruce Hornsby's band The Range, "That's Just The Way It Is" for example.
I wish you would have watched the video my friend because you can see who is singing and all the instruments being played. Great pick.
Thanks
I do remember liking this song and Ambrosia, but also remember hearing it played so often on top 40 radio that I wanted to throw the car radio out the window! So glad when New Wave came out, and there was something altogether different and interesting to listen to ;))
😂😂dang
Another hit song by Ambrosia you should check out is " You're The Only Woman "
I know I keep flattering you Empress, but your energy and love for this classic music really resurrects the spirit of the music. Thank you for that.✌️
Wow! I appreciate that!
💯
Good picks Poppy! Great reaction as always Empress!!
Thanks!
I saw Ambrosia at the county fair when I was a kid. But my recollection of the concert is foggy. They might have been double billed with Pablo Cruise. But I'm not sure. It was so long ago.
Mike...I might have been there also...my mind is kinda foggy ...lol
That chorus is really good! And good call, Empress, on these guys coming a bit more out of the rock side of '70s R&B. I have a solo album by singer David Pack -- I may send you a song from it one day,
Just FYI, David Pack wrote a song called I Just Can't Let Go that was sung by David, Michael McDonald and James Ingram. Quincy Jones called them the "other trinity" (you know, other than the father, son and holy ghost) but man is that song heavenly... no pun intended. James passed away not too long ago, he was an amazing singer. He is in the We Are The World video - right after Kenny Rogers and before Tina Turner, then he duels with Ray Charles toward the end.
interesting!!!
Empress your song selections lately. Is crazy good. Your making others reactors look bad. Keep it up
I appreciate that wish I could take the creit, but it's all my patrons!
@@EmpressReacts ..The name is Poppie*...
No women like that line! Lol...im thinking after he talked to his wife he wished he would have left that out! Lol. David Pack is hellofa songwriter and singer though.
Yeah he was tripping with that 😂
The guy on the far left….
This group got sexy songs! Idk who the lead is…😂
I like this song better that the biggest part of me, sorry about that.
The song is well sung and a lot of talent in this group but don't like the lyrics; they're sad to me! I totally agree, dang, what about the poor wife! He should have tried harder to work it out or don't get married to someone else if you are hung up over a different person. It's almost like if his ex gave him the sign she wants him back, he'd leave his wife in a heartbeat-definitely not a healthy marriage!
😂right
