I just wanted to say thank you for these videos. They are entertaining and I have learned so much from you. Btw I also love the Bible verses at the end. Keep up the good work!
Classic intro is the G.O.A.T. And I don't know what it is but I have been using that covert series for a few years as well and never had this problem. Recently though I have had blades come off two baits. I have taken to crimping that loop down before I fish them, but I feel like I shouldn't have to. Oh well, still gonna fish them cause they plain catch fish. Those were some great catches, keep up the great work.
I went exploring the creek behind my neighborhood and found some deep stretches like you fished here. Saw a couple studs like you caught at 13:00 minutes in, but I didn't have the right lures. May have to try some top water and have another go at it. God bless brother
Love the videos. Creeks here in Ontario are mud bottoms you can’t walk in it or you sink. So it’s all from shore. I mostly ditch fish for bass. Funny to watch people drive by and I’m fishing this little ditch and the look at me like there’s nothing in there.
You've been this for many years now & you know now that a top water bite is the thing to be using where I hardly would think of it, cause I mainly throw bottom baits, but I would like to catch them a different way! 🎣👍
John, the work on that farm land is a wet land bank. They will sell the lease to others that are filling in a wet land. The EPA and Corp of Eng requires you to purchase or build a wet land for everything you destroy. I was wondering what was east of the bridge. May have to bring the fishing pole and wading shoes to work tomorrow and try in the afternoon.
good gar pic - pls go for some big water smallmouth - revisit some of the best places do a mid summer trifecta - Susquehanna/st croix. shenadoah/new river or something like that
I'm 65 old 3:01 . I liked the way you showed the fish big and small slow so we could see the beautiful colors. Slow down when presenting the fish. Keep it up the good work. God bless you
John that must have been a great day just wading around catching all those bass. You had a couple really nice ones. Thanks again for the journey sir, it was amazing. GOD BLESS and GO KATS!!!!!!!
Brother you were playing my tune in this video. Topwater bite is so much fun and you're embracing this. Exciting to see. I have to say about the 15:30 mark when you were working the front of the deeper hole there was anticipation. Right before you hooked into that nice one the camera shots kind of shuddered. The frame clicks looked like Medal of Honor scrolling through your weapons and you were...but to position the cast. Epic and then the strike..so good. Thanks for sharing John and taking us along. Blessings
I'm so proud of ya man. I been watching you since day one and to see how much youve grown as a fisherman is awesome. Keep up the great content brother!
Great vid as always John. I went last weekend and used the black choppo. I hooked 2 smallies at the same time. I thought it was 1 big one. Unfortunately I was in shallow water with my kayak and they swam underneath it and 1 pulled off. I really wanted to get both in and get a picture. Choppo is my favorite topwater lure in creeks. 👊👍
Agree with a lot of the comments love watching top water hits and always have great videos and have great scenery and like the Bible verses at the end kinda saying some of the things that others have commented, Great videos keep up the good work , and be safe
Nice John. Went to a local pond the other evening for some topwater froggin. No good. Switched to a buzz bait and tore them up. Thanks for the great videos that you put out.
man love your videos so much, keep up the crazy good work! live near you i’ve tried most of the lures you throw on and it’s kind of a hack😂 we fish the same fish and you’ve taught me a ton
You’ve inspired me to go creek fishing I’m going to Hamilton creek here in Texas I think I’ll try one of the lures you & Mr richard gene use the hellgrammite can’t wait to go out here soon
AWESOME little creek! I just moved to the area. Haven't been in TN since the late 90's. Just purchased a little Dave Scadden raft for the family. You're a damn good angler and entertaining to watch. I've got some nice Simms waders and boots that I wore in Alaska You don't ever have a concern about walking that water and getting into some snakes?
Been loving your channel since it started, but even more this year because I can't fish. Had to have my lower right leg amputated, and at my age (69), getting back on my feet, or foot, is probably going to take a while. Even longer to reach the point where I can wade a stream. So thanks for the videos, brother. Vicarious fishing is much better than none at all, and I've always love small creek fishing.
9:47 Do you think a leader is necessary? I quit tying one on mid-last season and haven't noticed a difference in my hookups. Fish not focused on my lure will notice my green braid line, but it doesn't seem to cause any problems.
Man that Little creek is full of fish. I want to get out and do some wading. Only thing we have to watch for gators now a days. They have moved in to this area in the last few years
2 questions: 1. You're a great caster? How did you learn? Why not give us some lessons? 2. How did you get over your fear or disgust about wading waist deep in muddy or stained water? Or were you always unafraid, not disgusted by doing so?
Love your style.. But what you be thinking when you hear them noises ? U thinking bout something running into the water ? Keep up the awesome job.. LiveAction ComeOn
Buy a bunch of those cheap buzz baits the next time you're in Walmart. Use those blades to put on the 1/4oz buzz baits. Just a little tuning on the blades and you can almost stop it type slow rolling. Plus it's a smaller profile for the creek bass to eat.
Most of the "small creek" type spots around my area are all farm canals. Was tracing them back on Google earth and they all come in from reservoirs and bigger rivers. That tells me there's at least big cats in them. Willing to bet there's big bass in them too. I'm gonna go check em out
Don't know if you've ever used one, but a Palomar knot is the quickest and probably the strongest to tie with a spinnerbait....especially if you're using braided line.
What kind of reel is that?....if it is abubgarcia revo X series....thats a great little reel. I have several and have been really pleased. They are a little expensive but well worth the price.
Have you thought of doing the creeks in an inflatable kayak that sits really high in the water? In my state wading on non public land is considered trespassing but floating on the water is perfectly legal
SEPT AND OCT IS WHEN THEY FEED HEAVY FOR THE WINTER NOT SLOW DOWN….AFTER THE SPAWN…Post spawn they feed again but as far as aggressive I’d say SEPT OCT AND EVEN NOV Depending if you’re up north or down south they even feed more compared to July in August July and August when it’s really HOT they are more mellow compared to September and October regarding feeding
I just wanted to say thank you for these videos. They are entertaining and I have learned so much from you. Btw I also love the Bible verses at the end. Keep up the good work!
Me too bro!!
Wish you would identify the areas you fish in your vids. Enjoy the vids
Enjoy watching you fish. Especially enjoy the Bible verses at the end of each fishing episode.
That's why I love top water lures, I love seeing the bass ambushing the lure lol.
Nice job. Especially on training them fish to jump like that 😄
Gotta love the topwater action 🎬 👌 good looking fish Jon!!

i cant make my creek fishing trip this year. I will live through you John. Thanks for the videos.
Topwater action while wading is my favorite way to get it done. Your down there at they're level, so to speak. Thanks John.

I have been having good success using small, or ultralight poppers. Black works well in creeks.
Nice John. Went to a local pond the other evening for some topwater froggin. No good. Switched to a buzz bait and tore them up. Thanks for the great videos that you put out.
Epic video! We’ve been in the creeks lately and it’s been so much fun🔥
Loved it from the intro on. 👌
Happy fishing 🎣 Thursday 👍
man love your videos so much, keep up the crazy good work! live near you i’ve tried most of the lures you throw on and it’s kind of a hack😂 we fish the same fish and you’ve taught me a ton
You said that was a Berkeley reel? I thought it was Abu Garcia revo
you are doing grate at your videos you doing a well job.
Bro your ability to cast exactly where you want to is out of this world
It’s mainly just because I fish every week and get lots of reps
You’ve inspired me to go creek fishing I’m going to Hamilton creek here in Texas I think I’ll try one of the lures you & Mr richard gene use the hellgrammite can’t wait to go out here soon
Can’t wait to do this
Fun video to watch, loved the bucket fish near the end

Dude I love top water

Nice video, fishing is my sport, me and my grandpa always have a very hard time catching bass in ponds and creeks.
Been loving your channel since it started, but even more this year because I can't fish. tough to hear that, thanks for watching and hope you keep enjoying
That looked like a fun day!
9:47 Do you think a leader is necessary? I quit tying one on mid-last season and haven't noticed a difference in my hookups. Fish not focused on my lure will notice my green braid line, but it doesn't seem to cause any problems.
They make a 55 sized whopper plopper than would be interesting to see in a creek! Blue gill and whatnot would hit that
Man that Little creek is full of fish. I want to get out and do some wading. Only thing we have to watch for gators now a days. They have moved in to this area in the last few years

Also What rod and reel setup are you using in this video?

Great video as always. I was just wondering if you ever have issues with snapping turtles or gars?
Not at all
Those bass have some big ole tails!
Fenwick, wow, I haven't heard that name in ages.. damn good rods
Would be awesome to see you catch some snakeheads while you were in Florida.
Hope all is well man
You should do some more fly fishing.
YOU SHOULD FLY FISH THESE CREEKS IT IS SUPER FUN CACHING SMALL BASE AND PANFISH IS A BLAST!!!

sounds interesting
New to UA-cam love watching your videos just curious what category I need to put my fishing videos in when uploading thanks buddy
Dude. I'd love to come along one day. Not really my kind of fishing but I LOVE recording closeup topwater strikes with my big camera
Don't know if you've ever used one, but a Palomar knot is the quickest and probably the strongest to tie with a spinnerbait....especially if you're using braided line.
Useing a trailer hook for that buzz bait?
What kind of reel is that?....if it is abubgarcia revo X series....thats a great little reel. I have several and have been really pleased. They are a little expensive but well worth the price.
It’s not the x but is a Revo
What is the reel rod line weighing and creek state ???
What’s your favorite creek fishing rod/reel setup?
Looks like fun but i live in central Florida so thats a no go for me
Choppos make more noise than whopper ploppers
Man way to stick with it and get that big turn around in the catching.
Have you thought about trying cheap gear off Temu?
Temu is awesome!
Have you thought of doing the creeks in an inflatable kayak that sits really high in the water? In my state wading on non public land is considered trespassing but floating on the water is perfectly legal
i have several kayaks i use if its big enough to float
Been thinking about getting first kayak should I get sit in or sit on top kayak? Just wondering
i think its more enjoyable
That stained water would make me nervous that some sort of critter is going to get me the entire time I fish 😂
you got to get to the fish
I'm a simple guy. I see "topwater blowups" and I click and watch
John you should try the helicopter lure
Fish N Roll
What hooks do you normally use with yum dingers?
Owner 1/16 oz blockhead offset
What time of the day do you get out in the creek
Whenever I feel like it and depending on where it is and how long I want to fish. Generally it’s midday
@@CreekFishingAdventures ok thanks for the reply that gives me no excuse not to go !
Just a little advice if you want to avoid murky water Wade going Upstream it'll keep the backwash behind you

That fish was working the 14lb mono
