I couldnt find anything better than this site. Bought mind here yesterday. Even the parts are slightly cheeper than the rest of them out there.
10/10 set up for the web site it’s perfect 👌🏻
Thank you for the support!
Great site, great video for DIY, even with an rc background in RC cars/quadcopters, DIY so you can fix yourself. Good to see a young fella so on the money and hitting the target.
Try out the builder and let us know what you come up with! What parts did you pick? What price point was it at? Let us know what you think!
MBoards it is amazing the things u sell but do u have more budget price range kits...?? 😔 a lot of ppl i know come from skating background n they have decks so they just wanna mount cheap kits and see if they wanna dive into e skating. I wish there could b rly cheap ones too. Eg cheap hub motor with cheap esc (just for ppl to rly get the feel of e skating at realll cheap price)
Music x Tech if you want cheap you need to go through a chinese direct company. Building your own e-board is actually more expensive part for part then buying the complete board. Some good options are Meepo, backfire, Yeeplay, teamgee. For what you get it’s a better deal but your still looking at around 350 usd starting price for these entry level boards. Also make sure you buy from someone that has a 6 month warranty minimum, a lot of things can go wrong with an e-board, I speak from experience.
I just had a look and don't see an AWD-4 motor option. Would be good for a AWD-4 motor options to be available. I have a dual motor hub drive board currently and want to make my own AWD board. Not interesting in making a dual motor board as I already have that.
Could not be better timed😁 Great video 👌
Dang! Very nice. Super user friendly. I think the only thing that would be a nice addition is the ability to see a short description of each product as you select it. That way we don’t have to have two windows open to see the specs of the products selected. My build came out to about $1170 haha! Dual Motor belt drive 10s3p..
Wyatt Adamson Thanks for the input man! Noted!
if you know how to diy a battery you can save a lot of money :D
Hey @MBOARDS
Really happy you made this tool, helped out a ton on finding parts. How long should I expect before an order is shipped out once it's confirmed? Keep up the awesome work!
Kit Builder is amazing !! Simple, Great Idea 👌🏼
Thank you for making it easy to build an electric skateboard
I tried it and it's very useful. Only thing is that technical specs are not available along with the pictures. I don't know what I'm choosing, e.g. battery capacity in watts hour, motor power in watts, amperage of the esc, etc.
Yes that is a limitation of the software at the moment. You’ll have to go find each item in another window to read up on it.
Killer feature. I have been waiting for someone to do this. Nice job!!
Thanks for watching!
I’m going to but one of your single drive kits with a battery and everything else I need for under $700, what a steal! I hope to do more projects with your parts, I will most likely be contacting you guys for some additional info 👍 😊
We’re always here to help! Let us know!
MBoards thank you so much I just got done watching your live stream awesome work
Hey, awesome videos! Ive got a few questions. It strikes me that different battery setups would be optimal for different rides... Is there an easy way to set a board up so that you can customize voltage and capacity at will. Say I want 3 5s in series for 15v to max out speed. Then want to quickly change them to parallel 5v for capacity. What is the compatabilty with motors and other parts to do this?
How do I know what measurements I need for my hardware? Like the riser pads and hardware/bearings.
Look it up,
With a VESC would it already be set up or would I still need to plug it into my computer
You need to plug in a pc to setup.
Doing my own build at the moment, but for added convenience I suggest adding an AT option and maybe bindings like the Freebord s2's? Maybe some more remote options (Premiums like Ht.Street and Firefly) ? As is amazing tool and love the option to have you guys do the soldering just thought I'd give my 2 cents.
Thank you for the input! We’ll look into adding all of that!
Very nice! It might be useful to add some way of saving/visualizing/loading different configurations so that they can be compared at the same time.
That would be great. We’ll look into getting something like that set up 👍🏻
I purchased the single motor/truck/wheel combo and the motor mount broke after under 100 miles(also a crack in the trucks). I sent an email asking for a new motor mount but still have not heard back. Disappointed
Keep an eye on your email! You’ll get a reply shortly! We’ll definitely get you taken care of.
I still have not received an email after almost a week.
Does it come with a board or is it only the electronics
The reverse double kingpin trucks compatible with torque boards drop thru deck?
Wich top speed would it be:
Dual belt 270 kv motors with 83mm wheels
12s4p battery
?
Higher kv is faster but lower tourqe
Why don’t you sell them anymore??? 😢this would have been so nice
The Kit-Builder is really awesome. Is it possible to build a dual Belt motor setup with the 6374 motors on a caliber truck? Is there enough space for it? And can the Dual Motor ESC with the remote hold up with the two motors, or would it be to weak?
Greetings from germany,
Filip
There isn’t enough room for 2 6374s to sit side by side on caliber trucks. We’ve seen builders mount one motor under the board and the other motor behind the board. Generally you’d go with dual 6355s.
The basic ESCs are good starter ESCs or a more affordable alternative, but with any type of performance build you’ll want to go with Vescs. They will be much more reliable.
@@MBoardsco Thank you for the answer!
@@GoProActions Hi, I'm also from germany and building my first board right now. Want to add me as a friend? youtu.be/addme/cC7ig7eD2Hz7jCsehVI54yJdweIa9g
Thank you for the video the helped me make my perfect e board
Are there any plans to make the batteries in these DIY kit Hot swappable that way you can keep an extra battery on hand if need be.
Not currently any plans to make hot swappable batteries, but we are testing some much longer range batteries now 👍🏻
Nice video can you fix the 7s battery option the price does not show when you select it on the kit
We don’t currently offer a 7s battery, selecting the 7s option indicates to us that you have your own 7s battery.
@@MBoardsco Thank you
hey Mike
I'm thinking about building an electric Skateboard, my question: how fast would I go with the 90mm hub motor and a 10s Batterie? And is the motor Waterproof?
laurin michel what is the KV on the motor the low (around 170) is more torque but less speed the higher you go (250) the faster you go but less torque 200 is usually good for both
It says your kits are sold out ???
Hi do you have a ...ROHS Ru94UoE253642Y-D.circuit board...my oneWheel just stopped ...thx
Does it come with a charger? Pls reply
Hi! All of our batteries do come with the proper charger and charge port.
Thankyou
Is the motor on the truck/wheel combo kit good? And can it be upgraded?
Does anyone know where I can find some of them weight sensors?
Whats the best hub motor that is still supported?
Hi Mike!
I've just been looking at the Boards - Dual Belt Driven Motor ESC
what are your highest power motors I can run off of this? I'm struggling to understand this part.
also what would be the biggest battery I can use for it?
Thanks Chris
We’ve seen customers run dual 6374 motors with it with success, but we’d recommend dual 6355s.
As long as the voltage matches your ESC you’ll be good to use as large of a battery as you’d like.
Very nice and useful
Do the enclosures come with the hard ware to mount
Our Universal enclosure doesn’t at the moment. The holes are sized for M4 bolts.
Hi sir i have this 24volts 500w controller can i safety use a 7s 18650 pack.which is giving me a reading 28.9 when fully charged im just afraid to plug it because it might burn my speed controller?
It should work. You are only about 5 volts over. I would assume your ESC would run a little hot until your battery depleted past the 24v mark.
Awesome video
do you need sensor wires on motors?
do you make your own motors?
is there a reason why there is no battery option
There are 9 different battery options displayed with in the Kit Builder 👍🏻
Bigger wheels would be awesome...
Define skate hardware?
just tried it out! might just have to build a board😂
What about the board do we have to buy that
Yes, you’ll have to get a deck to complete your build.
For the hub motor options, do I choose single or dual esc/vesc option?
For Hub motors you’ll want to select dual esc
I noticed when building your own kit the battery indicator and power switch only appear when a vesc is selected. I was thinking about making a board with a esc and wondering if the battery indicator and power switch were compatible or if there is a switch already included. Thanks in advance
Hi! There is a power switch already included and your battery capacity is
Displayed on your remote.
If you still want a battery percentage indicator you can add it as a separate item 🤙🏻
Very nice, thanks for this! What is the skate hardware at the end though? I'm new to this..
It’s all good! Just the simple nuts and bolts to attach your trucks to the deck 👍🏻
@@MBoardsco Okay, and how do I know what size I need, as there are multiple options?
You’ll want to look at how think your deck is and what size riser pads you opt for.
Also take into consideration about a 1/4” for the thickness of the trucks.
You’ll just need hardware long enough to go through your deck, risers, and trucks with enough room to get the nut on.
Let us know if you have any other questions! We’re always here to help.
@@MBoardsco Alright, thank you!
Will you sell an enclosure that fits your 12S4P battery + dual vesc?
We do want to sell one in the future!
Hey @MBOARDS
What do you say about the combination with the big 6374 motor and the standard esc not the vesc is it any good?? or is the esc just not powerfull enough
The basic ESCs are a good starter ESC or a cheaper alternative. But if you are going for any kind of real performance you’ll want to upgrade to a Vesc for sure.
Hey man I removed the shoker pads from my skatebolt breeze II bc they were .8mm way too high nowI feel the board much better but there are way too much vibrations. Is it gonna hurt the board, hubs, electronics etc ??? Thx
Mey Bbobb I’m not a professional, but there’s vibration. One day something in there will wear out sooner or later, you take off the those pad. You’re just speeding it up.
@@Velocitist hey thanks for your answer dude! Exactly what I thought so I put them back I dont want the hardwares to enlarge the hole. But theyre huge like 1cm...maybe switch for thinner softer pads. Do you know a lot about e boards? Been on it since 1 month Im already addicted
Mey Bbobb I tried to make my own once, didn’t work out.
Hay Mike is your Mboards site ship parts in a week or so
The Majority of our parts ship right away. Check the description of each product to get an idea of when each of our products ship
Hey could I use a 6s2p on the penny build instead of 10s2p
Absolutely. It would actually be a better fit due to the smaller form factor.
How do you charge these boards?
A charger and charge port come with all of the batteries 👍🏻
Can I purchase from u all the parts then I can trust I have the correct supplies
Correct. If you follow our kit builder everything will be compatible.
Hey i really love your videos. Im from Bangladesh, i want to get a kit from you, i just have a long board & battery. So i need all other components from you, is there any way i can talk to you? Email or something?
Sure! Email us at support@mboards.co
Do all battery cases fit on the battery?
The battery enclosures don’t kit all of the batteries. Because of all of the different reasons people choose battery enclosures it is up to the user to look into the sizes of the enclosure and compare with the sizes of the batteries to be sure it will fit.
Does it include a charger
And do all the batteries have a port for charging
Yes all of our batteries come with the proper charger and charge port.
No direct drive??
We’ve added it now 👍🏻
Good vid meow😊
make a cheap build video
do you make these escs yourself
We don’t make them ourselves. One day we’d love to get an MBoards original ESC going.
I’d love to build a board but for 800 + dollars I can buy an equivalent board fully built for less . China is getter better and better with products like the wowgo 3 and meepo classic 2 both less than 800 with dual hub motors. Both speed and range . I just don’t see diy being an option unless your trying to go all out . DIY and budget just don’t seem to match .
Great point! DIY is more than just cost. The customization factor and the ability to upgrade parts as you go instead of buying a complete new board is where the true value comes in.
Making repairs yourself is also a lot easier with DIY set ups. Many times board manufacturers have lengthy repair times/zero after purchase support.
Definitely different points of view but there’s a board out there for everyone 👍🏻
@@MBoardsco But what I'm really saving for is the Evolve Bamboo GTR with the street and AT setups coming in at 2k plus ....it will be on the wish list for a min
I think your videos are fantastic! just one thing please plan on what you are going to say so that you dont use "hum..." every 3 words it kind of takes away from everything else you are doing right. other than that it's great content!
We’ve got an outline all typed up. Can’t completely take away being human. Would rather have a pause or two than to sound like I’m just reading off a cue card.
Thank you for watching!
are M BOARDS NOW DEFUNKT
Hello, I would like to build a electric skateboard. But I don't know how and which parts. Could you please help me?
I would like it to go 45km/h
Minimum 20 km of range
Waterproof.
Hub motor.
Less than 99wh.
It needs to fit on the foldable board up deck.
I am looking forward to hearing back from you
Its not possible to go 45 kmoh and have less than 99wh
It seems exaggerated to me as price these products with that price I buy a skateboard better
You definitely can just buy a skateboard. But DIY is all about making exactly what you want and customizing it to your liking.
What speed would 8s be?
Top speed is determined by a number of factors. Wheel size, battery voltage, rider weight, gearing ratio, KV rating.
With that being said you should be able to achieve 18-22mph.
Just an estimate. The other factors will play a roll in the actual outcome.
