There's nothing about the style that makes it special imo, it's just the dudes flow is pretty impeccable. I did see some vaguely shuffling looking footwork in there but you can't see his feet so idk. What I can say for sure is that this isn't some well known dance style

I worked for a studio as an audio guy (basically a grip) for a while and I met Carl Cox when he was getting interviewed and at a few live show recordings for festivals. He was so friendly to me and everyone. Class act. Nick Warren is awesome also.
It's so cool to see cox embracing technology. I remember he like many others frowned upon CDJs when they first came out as people felt it wasn't real djing. Of course, when you got hands on with them, you realised the incredible potential you could add to sets. Now djing has completely transformed with the inclusion of samplers and other equipment, where DJs can literally create on the fly, live versions of tracks. Just amazing what can be done these days!

Honestly, you just need to find the right crowd/event which is becoming harder and harder these days, some of the proper 3+ day techno festivals out here in aus still do it right and attract the right people. Also clubbing in Berlin with the no phone policy is amazing and feels a lot like what I’d imagine clubbing in the 90s/00s was like.

Avicii, SHM , etc is NOT HOUSE MUSIC. It's EDM, totally different music genre.

Carl Cox, an absolute legend and one of the best people to touch a set of 1210s. Loved his happy hardcore sets, shame his styles got more mellow but this set never fails to make me comeback, especially when Blue Monday kicks in at 31:45
