@@pranjalkamra Thank you for the clarification. There is another observation I would like to make. When the overall market was going up in 2023-24, many active Midcap funds underperformed the index. But since the downturn started in late september, tables have also turned remarkably. Since then, 28 out of 29 active Midcap funds have outperformed their index quite handsomely. A skilled fund manager can add real value to the portfolio in a market downturn.
I understand your opinion on Flexi Cap being of equivalent risk compared to Mid Cap but the fund you recommended (Parag Parekh FC) carries no where the same risk compared to a mid cap fund. Its more of a large cap fund and hence a substitute to large cap.

Important question - I agree. Midcaps are only 150 and too much money chasing too less stocks has resulted in high valuation. Better to take exposure via L&M or Flexi only. But can Bank Of India mid and small equity & Debt fund be considered. 8 year record, unique product, nearly 35% each in Small & Mid, debt hedge for downside and cash parking during bad phases. Very unique product.

ONE QUESTION SIR QUESTION 🙋 I know mid cap fund is risky . But unke liye kya jo higher return ke liye aur risk le sakte hai to kya unke paas option nahi hai mid cap aur small cap me . Aur aapka kahna sahi hai ki mid cap and small cap abhi higher valuation par hai but hame to sip start karni hai to kab tak wait kare valuation kam hone ka … I think sip valo ko higher valuation se koi phark nahi padta long term me . Valuation abhi jyada hai to sip kam karenge ..and jaise jaise valuation kam hota hai to sip increase kar sakenge ..ek diversity to maintain hogi portfolio me . Pls read and reply in your Q&A video
One problem is that after investing for 5+ years via SIP your entire investment became a lumpsum on 6th year, so any crash will affect your investment like how it affects a huge investment. it will not give any preference to your investment because you did SIP in the past. People whoinvested for10 years and on 11th year when covid hit or something like 2008 happened their whole investment crashes by 50% or more. So you need to understand that sip is just to average out expensive market, in downmarket it will not help you. P.S I did not say that you should not invest in small or mid cap but just said doing SIP reduced your risk is a fluke

im a bank employee, recently my bank give me the option to change my NPS Fund allocation according to my choice, so plzz give me some tips how to select pension fund.
Index is a list of companies set by the exchanges, like Sensex by BSE and Nifty50 by NSE. Funds mimicking these indexes are Index Funds. They don't need a manager to put extra efforts for more income. Index goes up, fund goes up. Index goes down, fund also goes down. Active funds have a manager who puts extra efforts in order to surpass the index returns. That's why Active funds charge more fees.
