Its a blessing to witness you go to the top, i feel grateful to have been friends with you and shared good memories. I will see you at the top shorty old friend!

      @@DL-ed4gq I'd say fighting is on the extreme of polarisation in careers tho. The point is looking at the average person per career and for fighters the average is much worse off. Combined that with brain damage and injury which you dont get in any other profession

      If you want to go pro, you better train every fucking day, else stay away for good. If you don't dedicate your entire life to it, the only thing you are going to get, is parkinsons. The reason they fail, isn't just pure chance, it's because 98% only dedicate 99% of their life to fighting.

    Its been a month since I joined an MMA Gym, Honestly this has helped me with my mental health more than the Weight Lifting Gym I've been going to for over a year. I still go now, but not consistently because my goals have changed. The difference being the atmosphere at my MMA Gym, My coach, My mates, Its welcoming and every time I finish a session I'm longing to go back. In comparison to the gym where no one talks to you, smiles at you, says Hi (besides the instructors) and you're just in your corner lifting weights, Anyone would loose interest. Ive tried making friends at the gym but everyone's egos are getting in the way. While at the MMA Gym everyone was talking to me just on my first day of training. I'd love to be a professional fighter, I've Always seen myself as a professional kick boxer. But It's all in Allah's Hands, I'm working really hard to reach my goals Insha Allah thanks to you Hamza! But as time went on i realized the real reason that I joined: Not because I liked it, but because people would think it was cool. I also realized that the happiest time recently was when I got home, went to the gym, then worked on school stuff, rather than being at practice. I promptly quit and have been very happy with my daily routine as of late. Thanks Hamza, this message was very relatable.

    I started boxing at 16 because of hamzas video (something like why you need to start fighting, or "I'm scared before every fight") and I'll just say for me personally, the fighting lifestyle is for me right now (im 17) it has taught me so much discipline, about being a man, and I love getting my body into shape. I haven't chose to compete but I do sparring at my boxing class and roll at my Jiu jitsu class. I do this and love this lifestyle not because of money or winning all sorts of trophys, but because it gives me time with myself to work on becoming a man. It gets my body in superb shape (I've lost around 45 lbs) it teaches me how to defend myself which a lot of men have no idea how to do. I couldn't imagine my life now without training, but I understand not wanting to compete, because as much as this means to me, I have a different path for my Jiu jitsu and boxing work. It's a lifestyle change and it's never gonna stop, even if I end up stopping at some point with what boxing and Jiu jitsu have taught me I'll always make sure my health is taken care of. I'm just a bjj white belt at the moment so I plan on doing that for many more years, and the family I have at boxing is so awesome, I may at some point choose to compete, but for now it's being in a tough environment and growing as a man for me

    This video came out at the perfect time. I just had my first amatuer boxing match last weekend that I trained my ass off for 9 months for...and I lost. I did not have plans to do more than one fight or to go pro, as I already have a good career that required my brain. Part of me wants to do another fight, so I can "fix" my story and get redemption. However, when I think about my parents and future wife and kids, it would be selfish to continue to risk having brain damage when I don't plan on being the best. Now that I've checked this off the bucket list, anything else I do is purely for my ego, at the detriment of most other parts of my life. I still think training and sparring sometimes is good for the mind and body, but it's not worth maintaining the identity of a fighter just because people will think it's cool.

      I think you should go to college IMO. Hamza is right that we should be working towards financial freedom through entrepreneurship but they require some strong interpersonal skills beyond just hard work and dedication. You need experience, experience living, experience understanding people and experience of being out there. Some of these skills are innate for some people or they gain them through their parents, but we don't all posess these by the time we're 20. You should only stop education to pursue entrepreneurship if you sincerely believe that you have the skills required to be successful. My personal advice is to go to college and do everything else on the side. if you are disciplined, you WILL have time for both. Good luck to you.

    I’m 16 and I started my journey of knowledge. I’ve been doing a book a week for the past two months. So far some of my favorite reads have been The Millonaire Fastlane, and the way of the superior man.
    I have just been trying to gain knowledge, build my physique, and better my self, I think in two - three months more of learning , I’m really going to venture into entrepreneurship, because I think if I don’t I will suffer the rest of my life. I’m excited for the journey and so far the process has felt good and tough. I think it will pay off if I truly dedicate myself.
    One of the struggles I’ve felt the most though is I feel that when I’m around my father, which he is fairly critical in everything I do, I just don’t perform as highly as when I’m alone and independent. I just can’t put my finger on the issue, all I know is that I feel weight and so much pressure from him and I even feel on edge constantly. I know it’s unhealthy in my core, but he is my father and I can’t disregard some of the things he says, but I just don’t know what to do honestly. All I can say though is I found a purpose to dedicate my life to, I want to be the healthiest version of myself and I want to be influential in a good way to everyone around me.
    They’re is just so much bullshit

I almost don’t even want to tell him what I’m working on improving in my life, because majority of the time it will transcend into a negative 2 hour conversation. I’ve noticed keeping my wins private as well as my goals has been helping me a lot. It’s only me and me only, unless I’m around someone likeminded.

      @@Noah.Stanphill same here i have exactly the same problem

    • @med7021
      @med7021 Рік тому +1

      This is a common problem, you are not alone in this. I always urge people in this situation to leave their house as soon as possible, even if it is more costly to do so. You might think that it is logical financially to stay with your parents, but you will grow much more when you are further away from your home and that is worth all the money you spend. I moved from my parents to Uni abroad when I was 17 and the rate at which I grew was insane. I grew so quickly during my time at Uni that I was much more mature and ambitious than my friends who stayed back in my home town, like a crazy amount. It felt like my view of the world became much more vast than theirs, by talking to people from all sorts of backgrounds and having all sorts of different experiences my scope was widened, whereas my friends stayed in their bubble and comfort of their parents homes and hometown.
      It's normal for you to care about your fathers opinion, you always will no matter what. All you can do now is the best you can and plan a way to go live on your own. I'm not saying you should abandon your family in any way, perhaps you could come back to live with them later on when you've grown, like Hamza has and you can always come visit whenever you want, especially if you're in entrepreneurship. Personally, I am still much more unproductive in my parents house than I am when living on my own even after I've created the good self improvement habits.
      Hope you can get some value from this, good luck to you.

    • @Noah.Stanphill
      @Noah.Stanphill Рік тому

      @@med7021 thank you, this is exactly what I was looking for. Your story relates a lot to me. I even have told friends I’d feel better off living alone and they think that’s crazy, but that goal is pushed aside until I can financially support that lifestyle.
      Either way I feel that I grow incredibly fast when i’m alone and independent , just like you and my goal is to have that opportunity sooner than later.

    This may sound insignificant, but I had a similar story to what you experienced at the fight camp. In 11th grade, I wanted to transfer to public school and leave behind my private, Christian school. I had been there since the age of 6 in Kindergarten. This school had essentially raised me and shaped me. Little did Ik I had no idea how significant my private school education had shaped me until my first day of class at public school. I encountered a world drained of all life and seemingly barren of critical thinking. The classes were a joke seeming to resemble the difficultly level I had perhaps encountered in 6th grade, and mind you these were honors courses or AP as they call them in public school. The main thing that struck me was the students I was surrounded by. I legitimately could not believe that people went to that place everyday to be surrounded by such imbeciles. The dumb we’re the ones who lead and the smart were suppressed into niche little cliches. To get to the point, what I realized is that I was entirely, I mean to my very essence, different than these kids. The education that shaped me and the expectations that were placed upon me from a young age were so different than the sloth I saw around me. The best way I can describe it is if you were to go into the settings menu of a given student’s brain (obviously not every single person was like this; I don’t want to make a sweeping generalization) and turn off the option for “free-thinking.” I knew I didn’t belong, but I had promised my parents it was the right call and I would not have any regrets transferring. So many of my “friends” from church expected me to stick with it, all of them hoping I’d become “normal” like them and waste my time degenerating myself to fit a certain mold. Despite all this, by next Monday I was back at my private school surrounded by others like me. Back in classes where I would anticipate the workload required to get through each week. I truly believe it was those 4 days I spent at public school that taught me to appreciate doing difficult things. I finally realized that there was a reason to it and there was a reason my teachers and school were always so tough on us. It was for our future selves benefit. I had seen the other side and what a generation would look like raised in a school system that had already pretty much crumbled apart. Did I get shamed from people around me for my decision to drop out? Of course I did, but the beauty is it didn’t matter. I knew where my purpose was and It was to finish out my high school years where I was familiar. Sure enough, those last two years of high school are what shaped me to be in the position I am now. I wake up and just feel the power I hold within my head. It’s this competency that was nurtured into me. I feel as though I can be faced with any situation and figure out a solution in order to flourish. I’ve already won the war within my head and my life is just beginning. Honestly, never feel guilty for living according to your purpose. If people hate you, just know 10x as many down the road will thank you because of the decisions and work you are putting in right now in this present moment. But, seriously, thank you Hamza for the intentions you put on every decision in your life. I’m genuinely excited to see what you have to teach us next. Every single thing you’ve taught so far has genuinely helped me in some way. I do agree, I think financial freedom is the biggest and most prevalent task most of us want to achieve. I can attest that it’s exactly what I’ve been studying and really working through and will soak in all the guidance I can get. Keep the intention behind everything you’re doing, and you’re only going to become more and more successful.
